Sorry I haven't updated in a while, things just got away from me! Can't blame a girl for being busy busy busy! ANYWAYS, here's chapter 14 for you guys! Enjoy my little birdies!
Ben's POV:
Alright, this probably isn't as bad as it sounds, but I HAD to mate with Calla. Everything that girl did drove me crazy. I couldn't take it anymore. Call me another prick who just wanted VIP access to "the club" but I mean it, Calla was just amazing. It had only been a week since I'd met her! But that girl brought out all the right stuff in me. The way she twirled her long brown hair, the way her eyes sparkled when she saw me, the soft touch she had when calming me down. She was going to be perfect as our Luna.
Man I sounded like a fan girl...
But all creepy lovey dovey thoughts aside, I had no idea how to talk to her about leaving. We couldn't do the different pack situation forever, that was becoming apparent. It was literally hurting us to be away from each other. Every day we'd wake up with a new pain, cramp, ache, you name it. But what was I supposed to do? Just say, "Um, hey darling, we need to elope now because I'm to much of a wuss to take being away from you."? I would be a total girl for saying that! Or worse... It would mean that I'm the romantic type after all.
So not happening!
But my wolf would do nothing but pout when we were separated. One time I couldn't even shift. Even the thought of the panic I had faced made me start hyperventilating. Even though I would either sound like a jerk, or be a total chick, I decided to tell her. I was going to see her tonight.
I ran to her house, announcing to her father that I was entering the territory so he wouldn't mistake me for a rouge, and shifted on her porch. Kristy or Karen, I couldn't remember the name, greeted me. Dang, Cal didn't lie when she said that she was taking her pack mates disappearance personally. She looked awful, like she had run for her life and then stayed awake for a week or two straight. Not pretty.
"Um, hi, I need to-" I began but she smiled and opened the door so I could go in. Well at least it was nice to know that her pack approved. "She's upstairs with Bryn and Stephen." Karen (I remembered her name!) said in a tired voice. "You know, It'll be ok. They'll find her. She could've even found her mate." I said with kindness. She smiled back at me hopefully and then went to sit with a man on the couch. Her mate I guess.
I ran up the stairs, anxious to see my baby girl, and burst into what must've been Bryn's room to find the three that Karen mentioned playing Uno. "Steph! You're such a meanie!" Calla whined. "Just because I made you draw four cards doesn't make me a meanie!" Stephen said. 'You're right,' Bryn said. "It makes you an ass hat!" Bryn and Calla burst into laughter and Stephen sulked. "Well it doesn't matter now because it looks like little ms. Luna has business to attend to!" Stephen said as the wriggled his eyebrows at Calla and winked at her after she punched his shoulder. "Hey!' Calla cried as she saw me. There were those perfect, sparkling eyes again. I smiled and my wolf greedily held her. If I had let it take control, it would've carried her to her room bridal style and stole her away for itself. "Hey you!" I smiled at her. Gosh, I sounded so stupid!
"I'm not interrupting anything, am I?" I asked, actually worried. She giggled, "No. Actually, you saved me from the flaming pits of-" "Oh PAHLEEZ Calla, your'e such a drama queen! It was a draw four card!" Stephen interrupted. "Steph! That's worse than throwing away food that kids in Africa would be glad to have!" Bryn chirped. I laughed along with all of them. "Alright little mrs., time to steal you away!" And this time, I did pick her up bridal style. "And so my prince in shining armor rescues me from my keep!" Calla said dramatically. "Isn't it Knight?" I smirked as she hit me. "No." She pouted. She was so cute when she pouted. I threw her down on her bed and climbed in next to her. She planted a kiss on my cheek. It felt so good to have her back. It had only been a few hours at this point. Well, now or never.
"Calla we need to talk." I said. She looked at me with understanding and said, "I know Ben, and I've talked to my parents. I'll be out of the house by Friday. If that's ok with you." She gave me a sad smile. Well that was one thing I hadn't expected. I blinked in shock. "Calla, are you sure you want to move out now?" Friday was only two days away. "Ben, I can't stand waking up and not being with you. I can't take the aches and pains anymore. I can't deny my wolf and who I'm meant to be any longer. I love you, and as much as I love this family, this pack, I already feel like it's not my true home anymore. So yeah, I'm positive when I say that I'm ready. I'm ready to leave, I'm ready to be your Luna and most of all I'm ready for you." She explained as she grabbed my shirt. "Thank you for being the one to say all that because I didn't want to seem like a selfish little girl!" I laughed. She laughed too. We kissed and held each other. Hmm, it was still early in the day, and it was warm. "Want to go for a swim?" I asked her. She smiled nervously and said "Yes." She changed into a swim suit (A freaking hot swim suit) and we took off to the river. The day was beautiful. Sunny and not a cloud in the sky. I couldn't ask for a better omen. We got to the river and shifted back. Calla ran right up to the river and dove in. Dang, I had one sexy mate. "Alright keep it cool until later" I scolded myself. Calla surfaced and looked at me expectantly. "Oh, I didn't realize you forgot a-" She stopped there and I thought her jaw would pop right off.
"See something you like angel face?" I asked after removing my shirt. She blushed like crazy, another thing i loved about her, and slid back into the water looking guilty. I laughed and jumped in after her. I hoped a cannon ball would be as sexy as a dive. We laughed and splashed in the water for a while and as the sun set, we got out and started to walk around the woods. The sun had just fallen below the tree line and the full moon was just rising. While talking about the pros and cons of gummy bears, we stumbled upon a meadow filled with tiny blue flowers. It looked like a mini sea and resembled Calla's eye color. She gasped when she saw it. And I didn't blame her, it was breathtaking!
We walked to the middle and I held her in my arms. I kissed the crown of her hair and she pulled back to look in my eyes. "Now?" I asked. "Now." She confirmed. And with our wolves going crazy, there were no more questions to be asked, so I let myself forget everything except the fact that the most beautiful girl on earth was here, with me, becoming my Luna.
Finally.
