"Long weekend na!" Abi shouted while entering my room. She jumped on my bed and hugged me. "Hindi ka ba uuwi, Aea?" She asked. I looked at my luggage at the corner of my room.

Kayo ba?" I answered. My eyes widened and shook my head.

I'm fine here!" I convinced them. The both of them looked at each other. I let out a sigh in relief. I smiled at them and we began to chitchat.

We were talking about how a lot of people are very toxic in the big city. In their class, paiba-iba daw ang friend group every sem at nagbabackstab pa daw. Tumawa nalang ako at nakinig sa kanila. That's why I really like to keep my circle small. The less friends I have, the better.

Tapos pina-utang niya ng 10K," Abi said. "Well, there's nothing naman with having a lot of friends or to know people, it's just that she needs to put labels on the intimacy on their interactions. Not everyone is your friend, tingnan mo siya ngayon, hindi na siya binayaran pa." Dagdag niya.

"Yeah, that's really the problem here. It's a big city, you should learn who to trust and who to build relationships with. In the end, ikaw rin ang kawawa if you'll invest too much on a one-sided friendship." I replied.

"I agree, kaya we should keep our circle small. Kasi diba, we know a lot of people but that doesn't mean that we're friends with them kaagad. Pwede din naman na they're our old classmate, a colleague, a family friend, or we just know each other because of a common friend. Naawa nga ako kay Pia eh," Ari shooked her head while talking. Sometimes, people are just too insensitive and too careless. It's disappointing knowing that there are still people who care less and care more. The big city is too risky, but what is life without lessons, right?

"Anyways, how about let's go to Elyu when we come back? Ano? G ba?" Hamon naman ni Abi. Naexcite naman ako at tumango. "4 days sa Elyu? Nice idea!

We were planning for our Elyu trip when a notification popped through my screen. I immediately smile when I saw Rye's name.

@zion_rye: Hi, Ms. Chavez! I hope you are reading this message with a smile, and I hope you are well. I am just wondering if you are free tomorrow?

@fr.aea: what's with the formality? 😆

@zion_rye: plus pogi points daw, madam :p

I laughed at his reply while my two friends looked at me, raising their brows. "What?" I mouthed. They rolled their eyes and went back to look for places in Elyu. I was chatting with Rye when an email was sent to me.

Greetings with peace and love!

Good day, Ms. Chavez! I hope this email finds you well. Before any thing else, I would like to extend my deepest gratitude for allotting your time. In line with our date tomorrow, I would like to discuss the details of our upcoming date.

I will be picking you up in front of your condo at 9:00 A.M. After then, we will proceed to Eastwood City, which is approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes away from España Boulevard. You don't have to worry about anything, this date is already planned.

Kindly inform me on what color will you be wearing so I can match it with you. If you have any problems and questions with this, tell me as soon as possible. Thank you so much.

We will be back before 9:00 P.M. You just have to bring yourself, be comfortable, and look pretty as always.

Your forever love, Zion.

I am so sure that my face is so red right now. How can this boy be like this?! I don't even know what I did before to deserve such a sweet boy. I immediately messaged him after I was done with my little kicks, and little screams.

@fr.aea: i am out of words :(  thank you for this, i'll see u tomorrow! i'll be wearing pink ♡

Our conversation didn't end since I'd always thank him. I woke up because of the smell. I sniffed again and confirmed! It was bacon and cheese. Ngayon kasi sila uuwi.

"Good morning, enjoy ka sa date mo! Update mo kami, ah!" Ari shouted. I nodded while laughing and went to set up our breakfast.

OMG!" Abi squealed. "Ang bongga naman ng love life!" Ari slapped my shoulders and giggled. I smiled at them and continued to tell them on how he courted me.

"You'll find someone soon!"  I laughed at her.

We bid our goodbyes and I went back inside the unit to fix myself.

"Time to shine," I said while holding my make-up brush.
