OPHELIAS POV

I ran from Carlos and around to my alley, I was so happy i finally got to eat food! He was so nice,

but my happiness was quickly ruined when Oliver and his gang show up again, i new I was in for a beating. His gang beat me for 3 hours.

When they finally left I was so beat I couldn't move I was so tired I passed out.

"Hey, hey wake up, c'mon stay with me kid c'mon." I woke up to someone shaking me awake, "hey I've got you it's ok, I got you kid" I look up and see Carlos and some other people "Hey little one, are you ok?"

I tried to talk

but no words would come out.

"Hey kid, just take your time I've got you." He looked so worried. I took a deep breath and slowly started speaking "I-I'm o-ok I-I j-just f-fell." I managed to get out. "Ya all this"

he points to all the cuts and bruises I had

I felt bad lying to him but he can't know. "I'm fine." I say pushing him away and leaving. "Ophelia!" He called after me "Come back, Let the paramedics check you out please!"

I started running as he ran after me,

geez why does he always run after me. I jumped on top of a fence near a car garage and tried to climb in but damn it was hard to climb in without almost falling but when I finally made it in I started wandering around the garage when i got tackled to the ground by Carlos

"STOP RUNNING AWAY OPHELIA! IM JUST TRYING TO HELP YOU!" I sobbed as Carlos pinned me down

"I DONT WANT YOUR HELP!" I struggled against his arms trying to break free.

"STOP MOVING KID I JUST WANT TO MAKE SURE YOUR OK!" Carlos held me tighter

"WHY?" I cried

"BECAUSE I CARE ABOUT YOU!" Carlos yelled "I-I care about you so much kid! You didn't fall Ophelia, cause falling doesn't cause you to pass out for 3 days!"

That came as a shock to me.

"Please just let us help you and I can give you a home, a family. Please... just let me help you."

I didn't say anything, I mean what would you say? I think he had let down his guard and i took that as an opportunity to run i quickly got up and ran leaving a dumbfounded Carlos behind me. I felt bad just leaving Carlos but I couldn't leave town if he was always watching me.

CARLOS POV

She ran away.

Again.

I just don't know what to do, i wanna give this kid a real shot at a good life. She was passed out in an alley for 3 days i just want to help her,

I just want to give her the loving family she deserves and she deserves a lot more than she thinks.

She's such a fantastic kid and she deserves so much.

I couldn't help but start to cry, as Tk ran over to me

"BABE! ARE YOU OK? Babe? Baby?!" Tk leaned down beside me and wrapped his arms around me.

"Babe, why are you crying?" I couldn't stop it I just turned and sobbed into his arms.
