CARLOS POV "All units we got reports of a teen tagging all the stop signs in the area anyone wanna respond?"
i checked the time, 1:35am it was so late and my shift was about to end. I just wanted to go home to Tk.
"363-H-20 responding"
I drive around trying to find this kid. When I found her she was writing on a stop sign. "Hammer time" funny
I turned on my lights and used the siren to startle her. I went to get out of the car when she started running.
Great just how I wanted to finish my shift, chasing a teenager around at 1am
"KID STOP! I JUST WANNA TALK TO YOU!" I JUST WANT TO TALK!" She kept running as I mentally cursed myself for choosing to run after her.
I ran after her for 30 minutes. Dang this kid has lungs of steel! We kept running as she jumped a fence and ran into a pole. Ha! I finally caught her and put her in handcuffs
and walk for a while just to get back to the car, as we were walking I noticed her head was bleeding from running into the pole.
When we reached the car I sat her down and grabbed the first aid kid from the trunk and as gently as I could to a kid who is squirming around to wipe the blood,
once most of the blood was gone I put a bandaid on the cut and then closed the door, as I went to put the kit away I looked through the window of the backseat and I don't know what I felt but I felt something towards this kid. But I wasn't going to just wait out here to figure it out. I got back into the car and started driving.
"So kid, you got a name?" She looked up from her hands and very quietly squeaked out "Ophelia" I smiled "Hi Ophelia, I'm Carlos." She looked back up and smiled "Hi Carlos" She was An Adorable kid that's for sure.

"Are you hungry?" I asked, she slowly nodded her head, she seemed unsure about answering.
"Ok! Let's get some McDonald's" so we drive to McDonald's I got her a 20 pack of chicken nuggets, large fires and a Sprite, I got a burger, fries and a sprite, I pulled over in the parking lot and handed her the food. She devoured it so fast it shocked me. "Wow! Slow down there kid your going to get a stomach ache!" I laughed as she looked up at me with a fri falling out of her mouth.
"So where am I taking you?" She looked around for a minute then said "back to the stop signs so I can wash the stuff off" I looked at her puzzled. "Really?" I don't know why this kid would want to go to the stop sign but she did anyway. "Ok kiddo, we're here." I got out of the car and uncuffed her and she jumped out and ran into an alley
I was just about to chase after her when the scanner went off, I just decided to go home.
As I arrived home I kicked off my shoes and took my jacket off, I washed my hands and ate a quick snack and climbed into bed.
"Baby why were you out so late?" Tk rolled over and wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed my neck. "I was out chasing a teenager" I turned and kissed him.
