CARLOS POV
it's been 2 weeks since everything happened and I still feel like crap.
Tk has done his best bless his heart,
but I still feel like apart of me is missing.
"You know, for someone who didn't want kids you seem to be attached to this one." Tk says as he jumps onto our bed and spoons me.
"I know, I know, it's just, this kid is something special and I'm worried about her." I turned over to him to see his goofy grin that always makes me smile
"I love you" I smiled and learned over and kissed him.
"I love you to baby" he said back to me.
I checked the time 8:25pm, I have work soon. "Baby I got to go! I love you so much" I yelled as I was leaving "love you to sweetheart!"
TIME SKIP ⏭⏭⏭⏭⏭⏭⏭⏭⏭
I had 2 hours left in my shift when I saw a familiar small figure running frantically down the street I got out of the car to hear her screaming.
"CARLOS! CARLOS HELP ME PLEASE! THEY'RE GOING TO KILL ME PLEASE HELP!" Ophelia was crying and clearly severely wounded.
"OPHELIA? Kid, are you ok?" I called out to her as I ran towards her.
"Please Carlos help they're going to kill me!" She was sobbing and buy the time I reached her she was about to collapse.
I scooped the small teen into my arms as she sobbed uncontrollably while she wrapped her arms around my neck and hid her head into my neck.
Just as I started moving towards the car I heard yelling behind me I turned around a saw a bunch of teenaged boys who looked like they could very clearly overpower her.
She looked up and whimpered as she started crying harder.
I ignored the boys and brought her to my car.
I settled her in the backseat and put a blanket on her.
Then I called my boss
"hey ya I'm going to have to clock out early, thank you for understanding."
I put my phone away and got into the car then called Tk
"babe are you ok?" Tk asked his voice muffled through the phone
"ya umm baby, I'm bringing the kid home. Could you set up a place for her to sleep." The phone was silent.
"Babe are you sure?" Tk asked "100% sure, this kid, this little girl laying in the back of the cruiser, she is going to be our little girl."
