❈Chapter 10: Confronting And Confessing❈

A few months had passed since Xeno left the kingdom. Although the villagers are now at peace knowing the "Horrendous Beast" was no longer present in the kingdom. Their king however.... Not so much. He's been staying in his room for most of his days, rarely eats and has been rather tired to do..... Well, anything. Essentially being depressed. He longed for the crystal hedgehog. He wished he was here.... And yet. He can only dream....
As Xanthus laid in his bed, hugging the crystal heart, he heard someone knock on the door. Annoyed, he came up to the door, and opened it. It was Noah. "What is it Noah...." He asked tired. "XANTHUS." He began. "ARE YOU OKAY? I RARELY SEE YOU OUT OF YOUR ROOM ANYMORE." Noah asked rather concerned. "Hughhhh..... What? You just realised? Of course I'm not fine...." The purple hedgehog answered rather rudely, banging his hand on the door. "WHY IS IT? IS IT PERHAPS, YOU'RE STILL UPSET AT HOW UNFAIRLY XENOPHANES WAS TREATED BY YOUR OWN TOWNSFOLK AND SOULS?" Noah asked, his guess being scarily accurate. The purple hedgehog widened his eyes slightly at how accurately the fursuit managed to somehow guess his dilemma. He lowered his ears before responding shakily. "Y-Yes..." He replied stuttering a tad as he crossed his arms behind his back. "DO YOU NEED ANYTHING TO HELP MAKE YOU FEEL BETTER?" The fursuit asked. "I... I wanna see... Xenophanes. I miss him..." The thought of mentioning his name was enough to make him break down, tears ran down his face as he covered it with a hand. "I SEE. I UNDERSTAND GRIEF IS A HARD THING TO GET THROUGH." The fursuit told him. "He's not dead! I just... Can't find him..." Xanthus groaned, a mixture of sadness and anger. "HE IS STILL OUT THERE. FIND HIM."
"Even if I did, I doubt the townsfolk would accept him, especially considering what happened...." The purple hedgehog said. "WHY DOES IT MATTER? YOU VERY MUCH SO CARE FOR HIM. EVEN THOUGH OTHERS DONT. IT SHOULD NOT MATTER ANYMORE AT THIS RATE." Noah told him. "I... Okay, I get it. I'll go look for him." He eventually agreed, putting on his usual attire. "NOW. DO YOU HAVE ANY CLUE ON HIS WHEREABOUTS?" Noah asked, gesturing his floppy arm. "Hmm..... I think I have a pretty good idea."
Later that day, Xanthus approached a cave, a sword in his hand. "ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO DO THIS BY YOURSELF?" Noah asked concerned. "Trust me, I'll be fine. You can back me up." The purple hedgehog reassured. The fursuit nodded as he watched the other enter the cave. Slowly, the purple hedgehog entered the cave, wielding his sword as he called out to the darkness, his old friend. "Xeno! Are you here? Xeno!!" He called out, but the only response was the blowing wind. "I don't think he's here... Noah-" But when he about to turn around to leave, the entrance collapsed. "SHIT!!!" He yelled trying to get through. "Noah, can you hear me? GET HELP!!" He screamed to the other side. Suddenly, something was approaching him from the darkness. "What-"
The thing then grabbed him and threw him against a wall, groaning in pain. "Ugh.... Fuck...." He winced, his vision blurry as he tried to regain it. Once he recovered, he saw the thing that threw him and was taken aback. It was Xenophanes but.... There was something different about his appearance. His crystal claws ripped through his gloves and shoes, his ears were shaped like horns. His crystals were pink and were shining painfully brightly. His tail was much longer, he was taller and his posture was crooked. Now he truly looked like a monster. Xanthus wielded his sword and got up, his back experiencing pain. "Xeno... What happened to you...?" He muttered frightened. The crystal beast simply responded with a roar, gritting his teeth as he attempted to slash the other hedgehog. The other hedgehog slashed back, causing a parry. "Xeno.... Please don't- ARGHH!" The purple hedgehog attempted to talk some sense into his now rampant friend, but the beast charged at him and he dodged, causing the other to hit a wall. Rocks fell down and the king was hit by some of them, afraid, he ran deeper into the cave, as the beast followed suit. "XENO!" He would yell and then stop in his tracks. "C'mon bud... Where are your manners?" The tar hedgehog asked, trying to hide his nervousness. The beast gritted his teeth before he slammed his hands into the ground as crystals appeared, all of which were heading towards Xanthus. He managed to dodge most of them, which caused him to be backed into a corner. Crystals appeared and chained up the purple hedgehog against the wall. The beast approached him, a red flare in his eyes, before he began beating up the purple hedgehog. After a while, Xanthus was incredibly weakened, golden blood leaking from his wounds. "*COUGH* *COUGH* Xe.... No...." He muttered weakly. "I... Love... Y-"
Before he could answer, he passed out. Xenophanes moved closer to the passed out hog, throwing his hand up in the air. Before he stopped his rampage and realised what he has done. "No... NO NO NO NO!" Xeno panicked, realising what he's done. "Please please.... I'm sorry..." He picked up the purple hedgehog and sobbed uncontrollably. "Wake up... Please... Wake up..." He muttered as he sobbed. He picked up the purple hedgehog and brought him to the lower depths of the cave.
A few hours later
Xanthus woke up incredibly sore, he noticed most of his limbs were bandaged with dried leaves, but some of his cuts were exposed. He breathed heavily, and attempted to stand up. But his injuries prevented him from doing so. "Ah... Fuck..." He muttered in pain. As he attempted to stand up and fail, he saw two red eyes staring at him. He didn't pay much attention to them, until they started approaching him. He stuttered slightly, trying to back away but unable to due to his injured legs. The being then came out of the shadows. He scurried back into a corner and looked on in terror, before the being revealed himself to be Xenophanes, who seemed to be back to normal. The purple hedgehog backed away, a bit frightened due to the previous encounter, but Xeno came closer and closer..... Until he hugged him. The tar hedgehog was taken aback by his sudden shift in behaviour, before he hugged him back as well, a light chuckle escaping his mouth. "Finally calmed down huh?" He joked a bit, ecstatic that his friend wasn't being hostile anymore. "Xanthus..... I'm so sorry." The crystalline hedgehog apologised, making the other sad but also conflicted. On one hand, he understood why Xeno would apologise. On the other, he feels pretty guilty he's the one being given an apology when it should be the other way around....
"No need to apologise my friend. I'm the one who should be sorry." The purple hedgehog told him shakily. "I should've helped you.... Yet I didn't."
"N-No, No.... Why are you apologising? I should've expected you to come back for me. You care about me a lot. I see it so clearly now. And yet, I hurt you over the fact you didn't help me sooner...." The crystalline hedgehog's guard lowered, he was practically shaking with guilt and shame. "I- *Sigh....* There's nothing for you to be sorry about." The tar hedgehog told him, squeezing his hand apologetically. "I uh... AUGH! FORGET IT!" Xanthus couldn't hold himself anymore. He proceeded to hug Xenophanes tightly, tears welling up in his eyes. "I- *Hic-* Please.... I missed you...." The purple hedgehog told him, feeling his throat get choked by his tears. "I- *Hic-* I've missed you.... So.... So much..." He continued to sob, feeling tears rolling down his cheeks and onto the beast's body. Xeno returned the hug, patting the sobbing hedgehog on his back. "I missed you too." He muttered. The two hedgehogs eventually pulled away, the crystal hedgehog wiped away some of Xanthus's tears, feeling bad for making him worry so much he broke into tears. The purple hedgehog wagged his tail and felt a sense of comfort, blushing noticeably. The crystalline hedgehog smiled, nuzzling his cheek against the other and purring soundly and making the other blush even more. "I can tell you miss me a lot." The purple hedgehog told him. "Really. I do." Xeno told him, feeling his cheeks turn a bit red.... Xanthus chuckled as tried to stand up, only to realise just how damaged his legs are. "Guh- AH!" He winced his pain. He had completely forgotten how damaged his legs were.... The crystal hedgehog held onto him, feeling a sense of worry. "You're still recovering. Take it easy." He told him, holding him carefully. The purple hedgehog's breathing slowed down, and he was now calm. He looked at Xenophanes, a glad expression on his face. "Xanni..... I'm really sorry...." The crystalline hedgehog muttered. "It's okay Xeno.... It's okay." Xanthus reassured him. "We're finally together again. And that's all that matters."
The crystal beast smiled and snuggled his head against the purple hedgehog, causing the other to blush slightly. "Woah- Uh- Hey.... I-I'm still not used to feeling your touch." The tar hedgehog stammered, trying not look too flushed. The crystalline beast backed away, taking deep breaths to calm himself. "Sorry, it's just.... It's been so fucking long. I went uh- A bit rogue." He said nervously, making the other confused. "Hm? What do you-"
Xanthus then noticed the pile of decayed bones right behind Xenophanes. Making him a bit shocked. "Y-You've been.... Killing people?!" He asked in disbelief. "Uh- Yeah.... I'm sorry, it's just- I was so mad at the fact you let me get banished that it was near impossible for me to think straight.... So I've been lashing my anger out on other people in some.... Gruesome ways." The beast told him, scratching the back of his head nervously. "Oh.... I uh- I see." The purple hedgehog responded unnerved. He wanted to get mad, but... He hasn't seen Xenophanes in so long.... He just couldn't get mad. "Well.... Um... Are you hungry?" The crystal hedgehog asked shakily, afraid his friend possibly thinks that he's a monster now.... The tar hedgehog contemplated for a moment. Ever since his friend vanished months ago, he hasn't been eating very well. But now that he's here, he feels more comfortable but he decides not get something too big or grand for him. "Uh.... Sure, I'd like some uh- Soup." He told him his answer. The beast nodded before he stood up. "Don't move. Okay?" He told his friend as he went to make some soup. The purple hedgehog waited there patiently, taking in his surroundings as he waited for his soup to arrive.
Meanwhile
Noah managed to get back to the castle, he came to Loss's room and knocked on the door. "Coming...." He said from the other side, opening the door and seeing Noah. "Hm? What is it Noah?" He asked. "XANTHUS IS IN DANGER." The fursuit said bluntly. "WHAT?!!?" The hedgehog shouted in surprise. "YES. HE WENT TO GO LOOK FOR XENOPHANES BY HIMSELF." The other continued. "HE WENT TO GO LOOK FOR THAT THING?! BY HIMSELF?! WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH HIM?!?!" The knight snapped in a burst of anger. "Where is he? We gotta get some knights out we-"
"HOLD ON NOW. I THINK IT WOULD BE MUCH EASIER IF IT WAS JUST YOU AND ME. BESIDES, I DOUBT THAT XEN IS DANGEROUS CURRENTLY." The odd dog explained. "You're crazy." The hedgehog stated bluntly. "I AM NOT. I BELIEVE BY DOING THIS, WE CAN MAKE SURE XANTHUS DOESN'T GET INJURED IF WE EVER GOT INTO A CONFRONTATION."
"Are you seriously- *Sigh...* Okay. Okay. We'll go with your idea. But if that thing kills us it's your fault." The knight agreed. "THANK YOU FOR UNDERSTANDING, LOSS." Noah thanked him as he gestured his arm out, signalling the other to grab it. "NOW. COME WITH ME. FOR THERE IS NO TIME TO LOSE." The fursuit said as the hedgehog took his hand and they walked out of the castle.
Meanwhile
After a while, Xenophanes had finished making Xanthus's soup. He walked over to where he was seated and gave it to him. The purple hedgehog took the soup and sipped a bit, before his eyes lit up in surprise and content. "Mmph! This is... Delicious! How'd you make it?" The king asked, sipping a bit more of the soup. "I uh... Just used some regular herbal ingredients." The Crystal hedgehog told him, his cheeks looking a bit more redder than usual. "I see." The other responded, continuing to sip up the incredibly delicious soup. "say... I think you would be an excellent cook! If you ever get accepted back into the kingdom, we should start cooking more often! I doubt anyone would say no to this." He continued complimenting the crystalline beast who began to blush even more. " O-Oh! Y-You think...?" He asked nervously and flustered. "Of course!" Xanthus told Xeno as he went up to his face and used his nose to boop the other's, making the already blushed beast to feel even more blushed. It was rather... Strange. Ever since he met the purple hedgehog, he kept feeling these odd warm flutters in his chest and heart whenever he was around.... What is this strange feeling? Why does he feel so.... Hot when he's around him? "Mm- I uh- appreciate it Xanni." The crystal beast thanked the other, wagging his tail. The purple hedgehog chuckled as he continued to sip up more of the soup.
After a while, the king had finished his soup. "Mmph! That was delicious." He commented. "I'm glad you enjoyed it." The beast chuckled, grabbing the now empty bowl from the others hands and placing it elsewhere. "So.... Uh.... Do you.... Need anything?" He proceeded to ask. "Well.... Hgggghhhh...... I could go for a massage. My back is.... Not in the best condition." The tar hedgehog spoke up, stretching his sore body. "Hm. Alright! Lie down for me, would ya?"
Xanthus proceeded to lie down on the stone hard floor, his backside exposed as he felt Xenophanes unwrap some of the makeshift bandages. Afterwards, he began massaging his back. The purple hedgehog melted into the massage, letting out small groans and sometimes moans as the other hedgehog continued to massage his back. As the crystal hedgehog continued, he couldn't help but look at the neck of the person he was massaging. He felt a strange urge to.... Bite it, to nibble on it, to feel the taste of the king he was massaging. He slowly bent his head down and got closer to his neck, he couldn't wait any longer. He wanted to have just a small bite. Xanthus could hear Xeno bending down and said in confusion. "Uhm.... Xeno....? What are you-" Before he could respond, the hedgehog bit on his neck. "AH!" He yelped, feeling the sharp teeth graze upon his skin. The bite slowly transformed from uncomfortable to..... Pleasurable. The purple hedgehog then let out a soft moan. "Mmmph.....~" The beast pulled quickly pulled away after realising he bit the other and was feeling bad about it. "Oh- Xanni.... I'm so sorry.... I didn't mean to do that.... I don't know what got into me..." He apologised. The tar hedgehog heard his apology and nodded. However, part of him couldn't help but crave the feeling of his teeth digging into his skin in such a sexual manner.... "It's alright. But.... I want you to bite me again." He proceeded to request. The crystalline beast became utterly confused. Why did he want him to bite him again??? "B-But.... Won't that hurt...?" He asked. The purple hedgehog simply giggled. "You don't have to be so aggressive, just soft.... Tender..... Bites...."
Xenophanes nodded, still confused on why the other wanted to be bitten by him. "O-O-Okay... If you say so..." He agreed, slowly opening his mouth as he bent down to the others shoulder. Softly bitting into it. "Mm- Ah-" The purple hedgehog moaned quietly. "A-Ah~ D-Do it ag-again...." He proceeded to beg, sounding a bit desperate and needy.... The crystalline hedgehog was surprised that the other wanted to be bit again, but he did it anyways due to a strange desire compelling him to continue. As Xeno continued to bite, nibble, and gnaw at Xanthus's fur and skin, he could hear the tar hedgehog moaning and groaning in pleasure, slowly and slowly getting more desperate, needy and louder..... "Ngh- Gah- Fuck- Ah~"
For some odd reason, the crystal beast was starting to get into it. He then began to bite harder.... And harder.... And harder...
After a lovely bite session, the two hedgehogs were entwined in each other's arms, the purple one panting tired and covered in visible bite marks. "*Pant....* *Pant....* M-Mmph...." He panted and groaned, snuggling closer to the other. "That.... Was.... Tiring..." The crystalline hedgehog commented exhausted as he held the other hedgehog and purred. "Heh.... That was... Fun... I loved it." The tar hedgehog muttered to the other, burying his head into his chest. "Y-You do...? But... Why? I was hurting you... Look, I even left marks on you..." The crystal hedgehog asked, grazing his hand on the marks he left on him. "I-It's called pleasurable pain Xeno. It's pain that's hurts.... In a good way. In a.... Arousing way." The other explained.
"Oh.... Wow. I didn't know that type of pain could exist. Isn't that.... Weird?" The crystal beast asked confused on how being in pain and agony is considered arousing to some. "No.... It's not. Most people do that when they do... Sexual activities with one another. And it's.... Such an amazing feeling.... I've never felt this feeling since high school.... Mmmph~" The king explained, letting out a quiet moan as he was still feeling the after effects of their previous activities. Xenophanes blinked in confusion before he noticed Xanthus's wounds. He leaned closer and began licking his wounds. "N-Nngh~ Xe- Xeno.... Be gentle...." The purple hedgehog whimpered slightly, trying to keep himself from moaning. "Don't worry Xantheebs. I will." The crystal hedgehog told him as he continued to softly lick his wounds. "Xantheebs? H-Heh. You got a new name for me? I like that.... Mmph~"
Meanwhile
Outside the blocked cave, Loss and Noah were trying to figure out how to get inside. Loss was swinging his sword at the heap of rocks while Noah just stood there. "C'mon c'mon c'mon.... Gotta get inside.... Save... The king." The knight grunted as he continued to swing his sword at the rocks. After a while, he got worn out. He laid on the floor, completely exhausted from trying to break the boulders. "SO. HAVE YOU FINALLY REALISED YOU CANNOT BREAK A ROCK WITH THAT FLIMSY SWORD?" The fursuit asked. "Yeah yeah. I get it, I can't break a damn rock. Happy?" The cursed hedgehog grunted in annoyance. The odd dog nodded, causing the other to huff in exhaustion and annoyance. "Well, since you're soooooo smart apparently, do you know another way inside?" The other proceeded to respond back, his tone sounding obnoxiously sarcastic. "HM.... THERE IS A POSSIBILITY THAT THIS CAVE IS CONNECTED TO OTHER CAVE ENTRANCES. WE WILL HAVE TO LOOK FOR ANOTHER CAVE." The fursuit said, pointing his finger upwards. Loss blinked at the other in disbelief. Before speaking up. "So lemme get this straight. You want us to go into other random caves that all probably have different intersections and just PRAY that the cave we chose conveniently connects to this one???" The knight told him, still confused on how THAT will work. "DO NOT BE PESSIMISTIC, LOSS. IF WE TRUST IN OUR INSTINCTS, WE CAN SURELY FIND OUR WAY TO THEM." Noah told him. "SO YOU JUST EXPECT US TO USE OUR GUTS TO FIND THE WAY IN-"
"OH MY FUCKING GOD LOSS. CAN YOU JUST GO THROUGH WITH MY PLAN FOR A GODDAMN MINUTE. I SWEAR TO FUCKING GOD. WHY ARE YOU ALWAYS SAYING RANDOM, UNNECESSARY, BULLSHIT." The fursuit then snapped, his voice echoing throughout the forest. "... *Sigh....* FINE. We'll go with your idea I suppose...." The knight reluctantly went with his idea, crossing his arms.
Back with The Gays™
The two hedgehogs were resting in each other's arms, Xeno had just finished licking Xanthus's wounds, and that helped to ease the pain and made the other feel more relaxed. The purple hedgehog snuggled up against the other's chest, clinging onto him intensely. "Mmph.... Fuck... This is... Nice...." He muttered to the crystal hedgehog that was fast asleep and curled up in a catlike position. He looked at the beast, feeling his arms wrap around him and pull him closer. He let out a quiet, short chuckle and nuzzled his muzzle against his neck. "H-Hey.... Xanni...." The beast suddenly spoke up. "Hm....? Yes Xeno?" The other asked quietly. "I- Uh- Well-" The crystalline hedgehog suddenly fumbled with his words, feeling a bit flustered about what he was gonna say. "Go on. Say it." The other told him reassuringly. "Can you... Kiss me? Please? You don't have to-"
But before the beast could respond, the tar hedgehog immediately placed his lips on the other. "Mm-! Mmph- Nghmmhpp....." The beast was surprised but he slowly got into it. As the kiss deepened, the room got hotter, the beast placed his hand on the other's waist instinctively. After a while, they pulled away, both hedgehogs panting heavily. "Wha- What was that....?" Xenophanes asked, his mind a bit fuzzy and his sight rather dizzy. "I- I don't know.... Uhm.... Sorry I got too excited..." Xanthus responded, a bit embarrassed about what he did. "Hey. It's alright, I didn't mind it. I... I didn't know you can kiss people on their mouths." Responded the other hedgehog. "Hehe. How did you not know that?" The purple hedgehog asked jokingly. "Well- Nevermind..." The beast just looked to the side and blushed embarrassed, making the other chuckle. "Hehe... *Yawn....*" As the purple hedgehog yawned, he buried his face into Xenophanes chest. "You're tired... Aren't you...?"
"Y-Yeah..." The purple hedgehog confirmed, gripping onto the others fur. The crystal beast giggled before he slowly and slowly transformed into that monstrous beast form from before. But, as it turns out, he simply buried the other and held him lovingly. "Mmph- Hey... Don't you use that monstrous form to tease me..." The tar hedgehog grumbled, attempting to sound mad or grumpy but failing poorly. "B-But why? I make you look sooooo cute when I'm in this form! " The crystal hedgehog said, snuggling the other closer to him. "I- MMPH~!" Xanthus didn't have enough time to respond before he was snuggled closer to Xenophanes, his face going from purple to maroon. "I- Hmmph- I give up...." The purple hedgehog eventually gave into his desires, he buried his whole body into the crystalline hedgehog's chest, his flusteredness and heat of his face emitting immensely. It was so intense, the crystalline beast could feel it. The god proceeded to smile as he felt the king get all nice and comfy in his fluffy chest, he held him tightly, falling asleep. The other proceeded to fall asleep as well.
Later
Meanwhile, after going through multiple caves, Loss and Noah have finally found the correct entrance, as they wandered about, they heard breathing. As they got closer to the source of the breathing, they stopped. Seeing the crystalline hedgehog snuggling with the other in his beast form. "Alright. It's time. Okay Mr. Smartyass. What is the best course of action?" The knight asked the fur suit, sounding a bit sarcastic and taunting. "I SUGGEST WE TRY AND GRAB HIM WITHOUT DISTURBING XEN." The odd dog suggested. "And you expect us to do that HOW?" The other asked confused by the other unspecific answer. "WE MUST BE VERY QUIET. ONCE WE ARE CLOSE, WE WILL GRAB XANTHUS AND GET OUT OF HERE." The fur suit explained. "Are you- *Sigh...* Okay fine. Let's do your weird ass plan."
The plan soon took action, the two characters slowly approached the sleeping duo. Once they got close, they carefully grabbed the purple hedgehog, meticulously pulling him away from the beast's grasp. "Okay, We got him." Curse whispered quietly. "Okay, now lets-"
*SNAP!*
Xenophanes suddenly woke up from the sound of Loss stepping on a branch, seeing him and Noah taking Xanthus away. "GAH! THE MONSTER'S AWAKE!" The knight shouted loudly, accidentally dropping the tar hedgehog and awakening him. "OW! Augh... What the- Loss? Noah?" The purple hedgehog exclaimed confused and surprised. "Your highness! Stay back! The creature might attack!" The knight yelled, wielding out his sword. The moment the sword was pointed at him, the crystalline hedgehog growled, knowing immediately that he was going to be in a fight. "LOSS. DO NOT TRY TO FIGHT HIM. IT'S NOT WORTH THE RISK." The fur suit attempted to knock some semblance of sense into the other. "Don't do it! Please.... Don't hurt it him..." The purple hedgehog pleaded with him as well. "What do you mean?! That thing was literally holding you hostage! I'll make sure this thing won't do anything to you any longer!"
Suddenly, the knight lunged at the crystalline beast, aiming at his heart. "STOP!" Xanthus suddenly leaped at his knight, causing his sword to be thrown to the air and nearly stabbing the crystal hedgehog's shoulder. "WHA- WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" The knight shouted. "I command you to stop immediately. Why didn't you listen to me?!" The king yelled, getting mad and pinned him to the ground. "How BLIND are you?! This thing is a monster! He injured you! He held you hostage! And yet you STILL let him in?! WHAT FOR?!?! WHY DO YOU STILL LET THIS THING INSIDE YOUR HOME?!?! ARE YOU ATTEMPTING TO GET YOURSELF KILLED?! WHAT DO YOU SEE IN HIM THAT MAKES YOU WANT TO LET HIM INTO YOUR HOME AND POSSIBLY GET YOURSELF MURDERED???!" Loss suddenly snapped and yelled at him in absolute disbelief. He just couldn't fathomed exactly why the purple hedgehog would let a goddamn monster of a hedgehog inside. "I-I- Because-" The tar hedgehog was very much so taken aback by the other's question, he didn't want to tell him the real reason why, afraid that he'd be despised. But.... It felt like he had zero choice. And the photo of them kissing was already leaked, so what was the point? He paused for a moment, looking towards the side. Before he inhaled and then exhaled and spoke up. "I- I love him. I love him so much. I- I don't really know why... I just wanted to feel something after so long.... He... He made me feel... Love. I'll do anything for him just for him to be alive." He told him, his body shaking. "So you'd rather risk your life for a MONSTER?!" The knight expergated. "HE ISN'T A MONSTER! WHY DON'T YOU SEE THAT WAY?!" Xanthus started to shout, his hands shaking more. "I LOVE HIM. NOTHING WILL CHANGE THAT. I DON'T FUCKING CARE IF I LOSE EVERYTHING I'VE GAINED. AS LONG AS HE'S BY MY SIDE, AS LONG AS HE'S ALIVE, I- *Hic* It won't matter..."
The whole area went silent. No one spoke a peep once the purple hedgehog had blurted out those words, who was starting to cry and choke on his saliva. He let go of Loss, and buried his face with his hands. Before anyone could say a word, Xenophanes walked to the crying hedgehog, sitting down in front of him and petting his head. The tar hedgehog huffed heavily as he slowly looked at the crystalline hedgehog, taking his hands as he tried to stop himself from crying. "*Huff-* *Huff-* F-Fuck.... I'm so- I'm so damn stressed..." He muttered to the other, his hands trembling as tears ran down face. Xeno came closer before he hugged him, patting his back soothingly. The purple hedgehog allowed the other to hug him, burying his head in his soft and fluffy chest as he attempted to continue his meltdown. The other two on the other hand, just watched them, before the knight spoke up. "Uhm- Hey-"
But before he could speak, the crystalline beast looked at him furiously, gritting his teeth as he growled, his red eyes shining brightly. "Mmph- No no... Calm down Xeno... Don't hurt him... He's done nothing wrong." Xanthus pleaded to him quietly, his head lifting slightly from his chest. "Hmmph.... Fine. Just for you Xanni." The other hedgehog murmured, still looking at the knight with skeptism. "Are you feeling better Xantheebs?"
"Mm hm... Yes. I do." The other muttered, hugging the other tightly. "So uh... Now what?" Loss suddenly spoke to the fur suit. "IT APPEARS THAT BARNEY THE DINOSAUR IS DONE WITH HIS MINIATURE MELTDOWN. AND SINCE IT HAS CLEARLY BEEN PROVEN THAT XEN ISN'T A MONSTER, IT'S SAFE TO SAY HE CAN BE ALLOWED BACK INTO THE KINGDOM. HOPEFULLY." Noah said, looking at the pair of cuddling hedgehogs. "But what if the kingdom still doesn't want him to come back?" Curse asked. "I'm sure it'll be fine... I'm the king of this world after all. I'll let him in the kingdom regardless of their views on him. No matter how much hatred or backlash I'll receive, he'll always be safe and sound in my castle." The purple hedgehog looked at Xenophanes and wagged his tail. "Say, my dear. Will you come home with me?" He asked him. "Yes. My dear best friend."
"IT IS GOOD TO KNOW THAT HE WELL BE STAYING IN THE CASTLE. HOWEVER..." Noah spoke up before he turned to the knight, the one who had raised his suspicion of the crystalline beast and despised him ever since he laid his eyes on him. "DO YOU DARE OBJECT AGAINST THIS FRIENDSHIP. LOSS?" the fur suit asked. "Hm... Alright.... Fine... You're cool in my book Xeno." The cursed hedgehog reluctantly agreed, crossing his arms as he pretended to dislike the idea of the crystalline hedgehog staying at the castle permanently. Though part of him did enjoy the idea of actually forming a mutual relationship with the other where they could actually get along in a non hostile manner. "Heh. Alright. I suppose that means we're set to leave." The purple hedgehog said to everyone.
Later
They all returned to the kingdom at midnight, where almost no one was around to see them. They quietly went into Xanthus's castle. Once inside, both the knight and the fur suit went into their rooms to rest, leaving the king and the god all alone in the hallway entrance. "Well.... *Yawn....* I'm very sleepy..." Xenophanes yawned, stretching his limbs. "Hehe.... Yes... So am I..." The other shared. "So... I guess I'll go to my room." The beast said. "Actually Xeno..." The purple hedgehog spoke up, blushing slightly at what he was gonna say. "Do you mind sleeping in my room tonight?"
The crystal hedgehog was taken aback by the other's request. He thought about it for a moment before he nodded. "Hm. Alright! I'll sleep with you tonight!" He said happily. They arrived at the purple hedgehog's bedroom. Once they were inside, they both took off all of their clothing. The purple hedgehog crawled into bed, the other following suit and cuddling him. "Mmph.... This is nice..." The crystalline hedgehog commented as he lovingly hugged the other. "Hey Xanni?"
"Hm? What is it?" The purple hedgehog asked before he was quickly kissed on the lips by the other who quickly pulled away. "... I love you."
"So do I."
