A/N:
While I was working on my first story,
"I See You, Y/N.", this new story kept coming to mind.
And no matter how much I pushed it back, the ideas wouldn't stop flowing.
And that's why you're now getting the first chapter of this new idea.
Maybe you like it?
Of course, this doesn't mean my first story will get any less love or attention from me, I'm capable of multitasking 😉

I Hope You enjoy it🫶

JJ's POV

"Hey Katy, how are you?" I ask the pretty, fit woman waiting for the elevator next to us.

She's wearing a tight-fitting tracksuit jacket and matching running tights, her long, dyed red hair is tied in a high ponytail.

"I'm doing my best, this job is going to kill me at some point," she replies, rolling her eyes and pointing down at herself before grinning.

Katy is a competitive athlete and trainer, but she never said which sport she's in.

"But who am I telling this, right?" she adds with a throaty laugh, her gaze wandering back and forth between me and Emily, but lingering on me for a long time.
Emily shrugs her shoulders with a fake laugh and gives me a quick glance.

I know she doesn't like Katy.

As the elevator doors open, Katy steps in with a spring in her step and I follow her at a distance.

Emily steps behind me with our shopping bags in one hand and lovingly places her hand on my hip before gently pulling me towards her.

I love that Emily has always sought physical contact with me in everyday life since we became a couple.
As if she constantly had to make sure that I wasn't a hallucination.

"Where's your girlfriend? I haven't seen her for a while," Emily asks casually, perhaps so I can't accuse her of never taking part in the conversations.
But she probably asked that mainly so that Katy wouldn't keep looking at me so lasciviously.

A brief shadow passes over Katy's face, but she quickly smiles it away.
Her eyes remain dark and almost cold when she answers and even her broad smile can't hide that.

"Oh, you know how it is. She's hanging around somewhere again, she didn't tell me where she was going.
Some women just can't be tamed, they have a mind of their own." She says with a mocking shrug and her laugh sounds contemptuous, almost bitter.
I frown briefly and exchange a quick glance with Emily.

We don't know Y/N well, but she definitely doesn't seem like a woman who is always hanging around somewhere.
The few times we met her, she barely made eye contact, she always stood slightly behind her girlfriend Katy and only answered direct questions.

She is polite and nice, but not the character you would describe as rebellious.

Katy seems to have noticed our exchange of glances and she looks at us briefly, as if she isn't sure what she has just said wrong, before adding with a radiant smile:

"But I love Y/N with all my heart. You can forgive them anything, right? Pretty women are just my weakness." She notes with a suggestive undertone and her gaze wanders over my body for a little too long.

I nod and smile, but instinctively move a little closer to Emily.

It calms me down to know that she is there.
