"peter!" Steve exclaimed while Peter , excited, ran towards him and hugged him. Steve bent down and kissed peter forehead. "I'm so glad to see you again..."—i miss you, POPS.—And I to you.—Steve ruffled both of hiS.—Please wait in the car so I can talk to your uncles. I won't be long.—Peter nodded and got into the back seats of the car. Steve sighed and walked towards Carol and Thor. "Thank you for taking care of himm these days...""You're welcome." Carol smiled at him."Have you talked to Tony?" Thor asked worried. Hearing that name Steve felt his blood boil."No..." He clenched his fists.—Steve, what will happen now? What will they tell PETER?"I don't know!" Steve immediately regretted having yelled. He ran a hand through his hair and took a breath. "I'm sorry... I just... I have to think, that's all." He sighed.
"See you around."He turned around and followed by the worried looks of Thor and Carol he headed towards the car where Peter and Harley were waiting for him. She put on her seatbelt and after making sure that his child had his seatbelts on he began driving towards the cabin.
"POPS, where's Dad ?" Peter asked and Steve unconsciously squeezed the steering wheel tightly.—On a mission, like I told you."When will he be back?" asked.-Don't know. And when he finishes his mission he will have to go on a work trip, so you won't be able to see him for a while.—He responded curtly.—Is dadd okay?—Yes, you don't have to worry about him.-But...—Enough with the questions!—Steve felt a strong squeeze in his chest, immediately regretting having yelled at peter, and as they stopped in front of a red light he turned to look at him. He swallowed hard and felt terrible when he saw that they looked scared. "peter, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to yell at you... it's just... things are very complicated now, okay?-Yes my child. They're just adult things, you don't have to worry.—Steve smiled sweetly at them and that seemed to calm them down a little. Steve wished he could keep both children's innocence intact, protect them from what was to come, but it broke his heart to know that not even his shield could protect Peter from the enormous change that would come in their lives.
Even if he and Tony ended up staying together for the kid, they would still find out about Tony's deception and that he would have a brother or sister as a result.
