Chapter 8

Midnight, Spring 1953, Dream

"G-god of Tokyo?! Leo?!" Gideon asked in shock as he looked up at the gold lion. His hollow eyes were piercing at him.

"Yes. I am Leo" Leo confessed. "I am the god of Tokyo. I guide all living, from the tiniest baby to the oldest elderly"

"And I am Purple Wolf" A giant, magnificent purple wolf with giant wings said, her pupiless purple eyes almost striking him.

"It's nice to meet you, Purple Wolf" Gideon said.

"Yes, we are happy to have you here, Purple Wolf" Leo said.

"Greetings, Purple Wolf and Leo" A giant, magnificent cream colored male cat with black stripes said. "You must be Gideon"

"It's nice to meet you, Breezeblaze" Gideon said.

"Yes, we are happy to have you here, Breezeblaze" Leo said.

"Nice of you to join us up here, Breezeblaze" Purple Wolf said.

Breezeblaze took a seat as his pupiless green eyes studied Gideon carefully. He looked at Leo.

"Why am I here? Is there something wrong?" Gideon asked.

"I must send a prophecy. I, Leo, god of Tokyo and guider of the living, grant you a prophecy that will last from centuries to come" Leo said.

"I, Purple Wolf, goddess of Kyoto and protector of the living, allow Leo to send the prophecy" Purple Wolf said.

"I, Breezeblaze, god of Osaka and guardian of the living, allow Leo to send the prophecy" Breezeblaze said.

"I, Gideon, the magic controller of the Ancient Rabbits Tribe and member of Tokyo, Japan, shall receive this prophecy of wisdom and wonder" Gideon said.

"Good. Then you are aware that you are only here for a prophecy and not gifts, correct?" Leo asked.

"Yes. I am not a king yet" Gideon said. "And plus I wasn't at the Kazilla"

Leo stood high and proud in front of him. "Then you shall receive the prophecy. The dawn of the darkness is here. Soon we will bear the dawn of war, battles and bloodshed. Night, rose, and shade will come together to defeat the eternal darkness and return the light. The moon is no longer your friend. It has betrayed the night. It has betrayed the dark. It has betrayed the fallen warriors that watch over us. It has betrayed all of Japan"

Gideon tilted his head. Dawn of darkness? Dawn of war? Night, rose, and shade? The moon is betraying them?

"With time, you will understand what the dawn of darkness is" Leo said. "You will understand who the night, rose, and shade are. You will understand why the moon betrayed us"

"Wait! But I must know more!" Gideon said. "What does this have to do with me?"

"You will contribute with defeating the darkness" Leo said. "It's normal not to understand it now. But as time continues to go on, and as the moon and sun continue their cycles, and as the clouds and the stars continue to appear, you will understand what that means"

Gideon took a long thought at this. "Can I have a clue?"

"The only clue you'll get is time itself, dear one" Leo said. "I don't need your rushing to figure out how to stop darkness. You need to worry about the present"

"Worry about the present?" Gideon asked.

"Worry about your thoughts, they will be your words" Leo said. "Your words will become your actions. Your actions will become your destiny. Your destiny will become your fate"

"What if I thought about attacking something?" Gideon asked.

"Then you will say out loud you will attack something" Leo said. "Then you will attack them. You will be destined to be feared and face punishment which will lead to your fate"

Gideon tried to stop worrying about it but this confusing prophecy is troubling him. Why would night be a person?

Why would a rose be a person? It's a flower! Why would shade be a person? Gideon thought this lion was crazy.

He opened his mouth to say it, but he stopped. He remembered that saying this will lead to horrible actions.

These horrible actions will lead to his horrible destiny. His horrible destiny will lead to his deserved fate.

Leo, Purple Wolf and Breezeblaze all stepped out of the way as a male tortoiseshell cat with star-like patterns in his fur stepped forward to Gideon.

"Greetings, Gideon" The male tortoiseshell began. "My name is Starry Maple. I dream of the gods and the spirits of fallen ancestors that watch us"
