Chapter 23

Sunrise, Spring 1953, Tokyo Forest

Gideon and the Wise One finally made it back to the forest in Tokyo. The Wise One held the Kazilla tight while Gideon tried to find a cave no badger lives in.

He padded until he saw an empty badger free cave. He signaled the Wise One to place the powerful gem in there.

"In here" Gideon said. The Wise One followed him inside the cave. They needed to find a place to place the magical gem.

Gideon saw an opening like slot to add anything. Even teeth! Gideon signaled the Wise One to place the gem in the slot.

"Put the gem in here. Once you're done, we need to hurry to the Ancient Rabbits" Gideon said.

The Wise One nodded and placed the gem in the slot. "Maybe this will scare badgers from taking this cave" He said.

"Yeah. No one can be higher than it's power than the gods themselves!" Gideon said.

"Do we need to do anything else?" The Wise One asked.

"No. All we need to do is go back home and tell Queen Magnolia" Gideon said.

"Alright. Let's hurry then" The Wise One said as he pounced out of the new Kazilla cave. Gideon followed behind.

I hope that the Ancient Rabbits are okay when we return. Gideon said to himself as they bounded through the forest.

When they were running, they were pounced on by a white kitten, either rogue born or an Ancient White Cat.

Gideon was pounced first by this unknown white kitten. Another white kitten followed behind.

"Oh, Daisy. Always trying to get in trouble aren't you" Millie teased.

"I don't know if these rabbits are rogues or Ancient Rabbits but they're in our territory" The other white kitten said fiercely.

"Millie! Daisy!" A loud voice rang in the forest. "Come back here"

The two white kittens both looked down, their ears drooping since they were probably in trouble. "Yes mother" They said.

A large female white cat appeared out of the shadows. She had a beautiful white colored coat just like Millie and Daisy.

"Come back! Let those rabbits pass" The white cat snarled. "I don't want the king and queen to worry about you"

Millie and Daisy trotted over to their mother's side. The white cat picked up Millie and threw Daisy on her back.

"The Ancient White Cats is our home" Their mother said. "I don't want Breezeblaze to bring your spirits up to the Spirit Realm yet and become two stars"

Gideon and the Wise One exchanged strange glances. These weren't rogue born kittens or pet kittens.

They were Ancient White Cats. Gideon let out a sigh of relief that they didn't get killed.

"Thank the gods we didn't get killed" Gideon said. "Especially since they were just kittens"

"Yeah. Even though I'm old, I don't want my spirit taken away just yet" The Wise One said. "I don't want to be one of the stars just yet"

Gideon and the Wise One both raced a different direction away from the Ancient White Cats territory.

They both made it and noticed Sasha and May hiding in a bush. What were they hiding from?

Please don't let there be anything bad! Gideon said to himself again.

"They have got to be joking right now" The Wise One said. "They can still be visible there"
