"You should get some rest, Wonwoo,"

Wonwoo had lost track of time ever since the last sentence Mingyu had spoken some time ago. There was no clock in his room for him to check the time, and his phone's battery was out.

He nodded against Mingyu, freeing himself from his grip.

"Aren't you hungry?" Mingyu asked.

With a sharp shake of his head, Wonwoo moved outside, and into the bathroom, to get changed. Sweat clung on to every inch of him, reminding him repeatedly of the events of the day. When he returned to his room, Mingyu was gone, and the belated realisation that Wonwoo had to spend the rest of the night alone hit him like a truck.

He found it weird in every way asking Mingyu, but he knew there was no way he'd be able to sleep that night. Having someone next to him might help curb his fear.

Mingyu returned to the room meanwhile, for whatever reason, but turned to leave abruptly once again. Just as Mingyu was about to exit the room this time, Wonwoo called out to him. "Can you stay?" he mumbled.

Mingyu looked taken aback at the plea, but recovered soon enough. Wonwoo was glad he didn't question him further. "I'll go get a few sheets," he said.

"Are you sleeping on the floor?"

"Yeah?" Mingyu said, as though the idea of not sleeping on the floor were ridiculous.

"You'll be cold,"

"I was gonna bring blankets too,"

"Or you could just sleep next to me. I don't wanna, um-"

"If that's what you want. But I'm still getting my blanket,"

"You're such a child,"

An airy laugh escaped Mingyu's mouth, and it made Wonwoo be thankful towards him for switching up the tense atmosphere. "I can't sleep without it!"

"Sure," Wonwoo drawled, returning the energy, "but be quick."

"Yessir!" Mingyu mocked, gave him a salute, and moved out of the room.

It was awkward, if anything, when Mingyu dipped into the bed a while later. He managed to scoot all the way on the other end of it, lay an arm under his head on the pillow, and cover his eyes with the other. Wonwoo, after plugging his phone to his charger, decided to loaf around with it. Sleep didn't come as easily, although a blanket of exhaustion weighed down on him. It was only now did he realise his legs were feeling really sore. He was never one to prefer any sort of physical activity.

He briefly questioned his rash decisions from an hour ago, but all doubt flew out of his mind when he was reminded of the nightmare back in his room. And then his brain did it again – showing him vivid replays of his entire day: from the reflection on the river surface, that had started it all, till him jumping out, and sprinting all the way from his parents' house. He'd lost the keys to the room in the process as well, bringing him to think about Mingyu.

The boy's steady pace of breathing indicated he'd fallen asleep, much unlike Wonwoo – who didn't want to fall asleep. It slowly dawned upon him that Mingyu might have been sleeping when he'd knocked to get inside, and he had probably disturbed him.

Guilt crawled over Wonwoo. It had been quite late by the time he'd halted his sprint. After, possibly, worrying about Wonwoo for the whole day, Mingyu would have fallen asleep, only to be shaken awake by a frantic Wonwoo outside the door.
