——Jungkook——

The wind makes the city roar. There are stars all over the sky, and in the middle of the night, the smell of the sea comes to me. My heart becomes peaceful in this night of wind, starlight, and the smell of seawater.

As the lights came on, I slid out from under a car while lying down. The heat made me sweat all over, and my palms were all greasy. This was unimaginable in the past. But now, it's great. After a day of hard work, the burning and sore muscles all over my body can actually give me a pleasant feeling of venting.

I got up and drank a bottle of mineral water. Xiaohua touched the muscles on my arm with his fist and said, "Brother Jeon is really a man among men, a fighter among men! Brother Jeon, I am really curious, what did you do before? You are so smart, you can repair any machine or car model just by looking at the manual. You are like a computer!"

I smiled and answered, "Because their principles are the same."

Xiaohua and several other repairmen smiled helplessly. One of them asked, "Brother Jeon, let me guess, were you a policeman or soldier before? Why are you so manly and majestic?"

"No, I guess he's a professional racing driver." Xiao Hua said, hoping that the world would not be in chaos. "Otherwise, he would be so good at tinkering with cars. The car is simply Yu Ge's woman, letting him tinker with it!"

Several men smiled in an ambiguous way, mocking me for not having a woman. I smiled too, and took out a cigarette from my T-shirt pocket, and Xiaohua lit it for me.

When I have nothing to do, I sit in the store, puffing out smoke, the nicotine seeping from my nasal cavity into my lungs, giving me a slightly dry and stimulating feeling, which makes me a little indulgent and a little sober.

I never smoked before. Now Xiaohua regards me as an old smoker. I can finish a pack of Yunnan Yunnan cigarettes in one day.

I leaned against the wall, squinting my eyes and looking at the faint stars through the cracks in the ceiling. It is said that after a person dies, he or she will become a star, looking at the one who loves her. There are so many stars in Dali, but I don't know which one is mine.

Xiaohua nudged me lightly with his elbow and whistled.

That's how I saw her again.

A bright orange mini SUV drove in, with a very young and slender woman sitting in the driver's seat.

"She's pretty," Xiao Hua muttered. The other repairmen were also looking at her.

I was watching too, intently.

She has very thick black hair, but it seems that she has never taken good care of it, and she always looks a bit lazy. For example, now, she just tied it loosely with a rubber band, just like the last time I saw her. Her face is delicate, and her eyes are especially dark and attractive. But her temperament is much more complicated. When she closed the car door, she raised her hand lightly and put it in her trouser pocket. Like a girl, but also like a woman.

I noticed her arms. Actually, I noticed them last time. She was wearing a simple but somewhat unique T-shirt, light grey, with some indistinguishable patterns printed on the chest. The cuffs were a bit wrinkled, draped over her arms. She had a very fair complexion, slender arms, and even bones and flesh. She looked very pure and sexy.

I didn't expect Xiaohua to ask me to fix her car. After calling me, Xiaohua winked at me, deliberately. At that moment, my chest felt like someone had poked me with a stick. I finished the cigarette in my hand, threw it into the trash can, and stood up.

She didn't recognize me.

She was holding a cell phone, standing by the car, looking at me, and then quickly lowering her head. Her expression was a little reserved, and a little absent-minded. Her eyes were indifferent, but her cheeks were slightly flushed.

The same expression as when we first met.

A long-lost sense of happiness suddenly welled up in my heart. But now, I no longer wanted to be recognized by her. I turned sideways, bent down, and checked her car.

She finally noticed something. This girl didn't try to hide anything. I heard her clear footsteps, circling around me, slowly looking at me. Finally, she walked right in front of me, tilted her head, and looked at my face.

I looked up at her.

In an instant, her expression became very complicated: shock, suspicion, and confusion.

Very good, she still remembers me. Because of this recognition, a touch of tenderness surged in my heart. However, I knew that she was a smart girl, but also a straightforward girl without any scheming. Since I didn't want her to recognize me, I showed a very calm expression and lowered my head to continue repairing the car.
