--Jungkook--

She lowered her head at first, then raised it and stared at me: "What did you say?"

"I said I've been trying to find out the truth, but there's been no progress."

She stared at me again, smiled mockingly, and said, "You said a year? What year? It's only been a few weeks, right?"

The room seemed to have fallen into complete silence for the second time. I saw the hint of fear in her eyes, and then I looked up at the calendar on the wall. The time was clearly marked there. For a moment, I was also a little confused about what happened. But I still spoke calmly: "Lisa, we boarded that ship on June 23, 2016, and now it is July 18, 2017. One year and three weeks have passed."

I don't know how to describe her expression at that moment. Her face was pale, and her eyes, which were once full of spirit, seemed to sink into a black quagmire. She followed my gaze and stared blankly at the calendar, then took out her cell phone from her bag and checked the time. She seemed to have just realized the passage of time. It was an expression similar to waking up from a dream. Her teeth bit into her lower lip, biting deeper and deeper. I realized that she seemed to be about to cry, and her whole person became fragmented in an instant.

"I..." She spoke intermittently, "I really thought only a few weeks had passed. I looked at the time every day, looking at 2017, and I didn't realize... During that year, my mind was blank. It was like nothing had happened."

It suddenly dawned on me.

We all lose a piece of memory. Mine was just a few days.

And she still has to study for a whole year longer.

What exactly is going on?

I even had a guess in my mind, was it because we were attacked in some way on the ship that she lost her memory? And the attack she suffered was more serious, so the amnesia lasted longer?

"So, we haven't seen each other for a year?" She looked at me, tears streaming down her face. "So that's why you've changed so much? I didn't recognize you."

My heart suddenly ached and I reached out to hug her, but she pushed me away, stood up, and stumbled out the door.

I stood up and chased after him: "Where are you going?"

She said, "I want to go home and be alone. Don't follow me! Don't follow me!"

I stood at the door and watched her rush into the car and drive away in an instant, like a panicked rabbit.

But I felt like a fire of pain was ignited in my heart, so I got on my motorcycle and followed.

The night was deep, and the city scenery quietly receded. Even when she was out of control, she drove only a little faster than usual. As she drove, my heart seemed to be calmed by the wind. There was a bright moon above our heads, and even though we were trapped in the same difficult puzzle, the road was quiet at this moment.

I followed her all the way downstairs to her house.

After she parked the bike crookedly in the parking space, she got out and saw me, more than ten meters away, without saying a word. I wore a helmet, sat on the motorcycle, and looked at her quietly.

She had stopped crying. She was indeed a strong girl. Her face looked clear and her eyes were strangely quiet. She finally spoke and said, "You can go back. I'm fine."

I said, "Okay." and didn't move.

She said again: "Go back!"

I answered again: "Okay."

She showed a sad expression again and said, "If you don't leave, I will."

I said, "Okay. I'll watch you go up."

She glanced at me and stomped up the stairs. I smiled. No matter what, she still looked very energetic.
