I breathe heavily as I place the last box down on the floor of my new cabin, a cabin in the woods. It was not the safest place to stay, but it was cheap enough, I mean, considering these woods are considered "magical," I guess I should be happy that I'm staying in such a "mystical" area.
Standing up straight, I hear my back crack with 5 loud distinct pops and crack, making me wince. I wipe my forehead with the back of my hand to get rid of all the sweat buildup that's been accumulating while I get all my boxes in.
I turn around to face the cabin when I hear somebody scream hello.
"HEY THERE MISS!"
I whipped around to see a talking donkey....
I looked around in question, wondering if I'm actually seeing a talking donkey, but I guess I should be so surprised when I'm the one who moved into a "magical" woods.
"Um hi," I waved at him, feeling a bit shy at meeting someone new. My palms are feeling a bit sweaty with the nerves.
"HEY MISS, you new here? You look new and -" He kept talking, seemingly not even taking a second to breath as he looked at me with his big eyes, coming closer."This your house? Oh, let me see what you got. "
He creeped closer to me.
I stuttered as I backed up, trying not to let him in, feeling a bit creeped out that he was so overly nice.
"Um, I don't think that's a good idea. It's not fully furnished."
"Oh, that's fine. I'm sure it's nice." He smiled wide, his teeth kinda grossing me out.
I jump as i hear somebody else scream out from beyond the woods.
The donkey seems excited. He looks up at me with blown out eyes.
"OH that's just shrek, you should meet him, I think you'd both get along ya know since you both seem kinda closed off" the donkey says as he turns around ans starts walking away, expecting me to follow him.
He stops suddenly, noticing I'm not following him. "You coming?"
I stand there, confusion clear on my face. "I don't even know you..."
Suddenly, someonestopped out of the tree line, I snapped my head to see who or what came storming up to us.
"DONKEY, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?
Shouted an ogre? I can't say I saw this coming
"SHREK!, come meet the new resident," said the donkey, looking up at this person whose name i now know as shrek, before looking back at me with hope in his eyes.
Me and shrek looked into eachothers eyes. Suddenly, my body felt hot, I couldn't look away from him, and he seemed to be in the same predicament as me.
"Hi, I'm shrek."
