Adventure of Gravity Falls

~Chapter Three~

 Late at night. A blue pulsing light glows. Then, a shot of the inside , which is also periodically back-lit by the pulsing blue light. In the beneath the Shack, working on the . Stan pulls a lever, and green fluid pumps into large, glass tanks. Stan said to himself "Come on, come on. Should be just enough to finish the job", he took off his fez and gloves, and without knowing, wipes toxic waste on his forehead, which sizzles and briefly glows green. Stan also said "Whew. Can't be too careful with this stuff", then Red lights flash and a buzzer goes off. Stan smiles and turns to look at the screen. The screen reads "EVENT INITIALIZED" and an eighteen hour countdown begins. Stan opened the first journal and using the black lights to read the invisible ink, he read it out loud to himself ""Warning," blah blah blah, "Extreme usage could result in minor gravity anomalies." Can it, Poindexter!" Stan slammed the book and said "I've come this far. I'm not givin' up now! Yes, this is it", Stan synchronizes the wristwatch with the steadily ticking countdown, still displayed on the monitor, he said "It's gonna be a bumpy ride, but it'll all be worth it. Just eighteen more hours. Finally, everything changes. Today".

 Mabel, running down the halls, followed by a tired Dipper and I. I asked "Where are you taking us, Mabel?" Dipper sighed and Mabel said "Ahh! It's here it's here it's here! Okay, so I was just opening random doors - because I'm a creep - when I found something amazing!" Dipper said "If it was worth waking up at seven AM for, that will be amazing" and I said "I agree with Dipper, Mabel". Mabel said to me and Dipper "Feast your eyes!" I looked confused and said "Fireworks?" Dipper said "Whoa!" Mabel ran up to Dipper and said "Bro. Bro. We're both thinking about it", so they said it at the same time "Crazy rooftop fireworks party!" Stan is standing next to me and said to Dipper and Mabel "Not so fast, kids! There is no way on earth you're setting off those dangerous, illegal fireworks...without us" and Dipper handed me a can of soda, I said to him "Thanks, Dipper". Stan said to Mabel while lighting up the firework for her "Here you go, sweetie. Set something on fire for your Grunkle Stan", Mabel turned around and said "I AM THE GOD OF DESTRUCTION!"

Sheriff Bulbs and Deputy Durland approach the Mystery Shack as the fireworks go off. Sheriff Bulbs asked "Hold on a minute. Do you have a permit for those?" Dipper said "Uh..." and then I said to Sheriff Bulbs "Uh, do you have a permit for being totally lame?" Stan, Dipper and Mabel started laughing, Mabel said "Heyoooo!" Stan patted my back and said "Good one, Lynn", Sheriff Bulbs said "Well, I can't argue with that. Carry on" and Stan said to the kids "But seriously though we should probably clean this mess up". Mabel said to Stan "With water balloons?" Stan said "I don't see why not" and then he turned his head and looked at me, he said to himself 'She doesn't look too good'. I walked up to Stan and sat down on the couch, Mabel and Dipper were playing water balloons fighting, Stan said "Ah. This is what Saturdays are for. Doing dumb things forever". Mabel and Dipper shouted "DUMB THINGS FOREVER!" I try to get up to get another soda but I collapsed and hit my head in Stan's arms, Stan lifted me up and carried me to the basement placing me on the cold floor, he felt my head and said "Damn it, she's burning up". Stan was about to get up, he whispered to my ear and said "I'll be right back, okay", he ran outside to get more ice but he turned around and saw Mabel and Dipper sitting down. Mabel said "To Grunkle Stan! Not just a great uncle..." and Dipper finished the sentence "The greatest uncle!" 

Stan laughed and said to them "Alright, alright. I tell you it's unnatural for siblings to get along as well as you do", then Mabel said "Ha-ha! Don't worry. We've still got plenty of summer left to drive each other crazy!" Stan said to them "Yeah, plenty of summer left. Kids, there's something I, uh, something I should tell you. It's um, well it's complicated. I... I'm gonna refresh my soda", Dipper asked "Mabel, have you seen Lynn anywhere?" Mabel looked around and said "I don't know, Dipper", but then they heard their Grunkle Stan shouting "Ugh! Hey, hands off, you stooge! Aah! I don't understand! What did I do that warrants this arrest?" Dipper said "The government guys? I thought you got eaten by zombies!" Agent Trigger said "We survived. Barely", Agent Powers said "I used Trigger as a human shield. He cried like a baby" and Agent Trigger said "What? Hey! Not in front of the special-ops guys!" Agent Powers showed Stan something on the digital tablet and said "This is security footage of a government waste facility. At o'four hundred hours last night someone robbed three hundred gallons of dangerous waste", Stan said "What? You think that's me?" Agent Powers said "Don't play dumb with us, Pines", Stan said "But-but I actually am dumb! Last night, I was restocking the gift shop. I swear!"

Mabel said "Wait! Grunkle Stan! You've got the wrong guy! Our Grunkle Stan might shoplift the occasional tangerine, but he's not some evil super villain!" Agent Powers said to Mabel and Dipper "Listen, kid. We've been watching your family all summer and we've seen some disturbing things. But nothing is as dangerous as what your uncle is hiding. Somewhere hidden in this shack is a doomsday device!Trigger, you take the children. I'll talk to the old man.Sorry to break it to you kids but you don't know your uncle at all" In the basement, I slowly waking up but still weak and walked over to the other side of the room, I saw portal and mumbled to myself "Stan, what have you done". I grabbed some rope and tied it around my waist to the pole, but I collapsed once more and I opened my eyes, I heard the mystery man running up to me and shouting "Lynn!" I turned my head and I said "Sir!" I was coughing and collapsed into his arms, he looked at me and asked "Lynn, what's wrong?" I barely can speak and he felt my forehead, he said "You're burning up bad. Don't you worry, Lynn. I'm coming for you and I'm not leaving your side ever again, you have my word". 

Dipper and Mabel ran back to the Mystery Shack, they saw Soos standing in front of the vending machine, Soos, Mabel and Dipper went downstairs but suddenly they saw me laying on the floor. They shouted out my name "Lynn!" Mabel said "You guys, she's burning up" and Dipper noticed that there were two more journals on the table, Dipper said "It can't be... it's impossible. The other two journals? All this time... all this time, Stan had them?! I can't believe it! Was anything he said to us real?! Why would he have those journals?!" Soos said to Dipper "Maybe he's the author", I was still in my mindscape and the mystery man just patted my head, he said to himself 'She's so beautiful and she might be the one to help me destroy Bill'. Dipper said to Mabel and Soos "That's it! The shutdown switch! This all stops...now!" Stan came in and shouted "DON'T TOUCH THAT BUTTON!! Dipper, just back away. Please don't press that shutdown button, you gotta trust me", Dipper said to Stan "And I should trust you why?! After you stole radioactive waste? After you lied to us all summer?! I don't even know who you are! What's worse is that Lynn isn't waking up!" Stan said "What?!" Stan looked down at me and Mabel said "Lynn is burning up".

Stan looked back up at Dipper and said "Look, I know this all seems nuts, but I need that machine to stay on! If you'd just let me explain--Uh-oh, oh, no! Brace yourselves!" While Dipper, Soos and Stan were fighting against each other, Mabel started to cry and said "Grunkle Stan, I don't even know, if you're my grunkle! I wanna believe you, but--" and then Stan said to Mabel "I wanted to say that you're gonna hear some bad things about me, and some of them are true, but trust me. Everything I've worked for, everything I care about, it's all for this family!" Dipper said "Mabel, what if he's lying? This thing could destroy the universe! Listen to your head!" Mabel looked down at me and asked herself 'What would Lynn do?' I looked up at Mabel and said to her in a whispered voice "I trust him" and I blacked out, Mabel said to Stan "If Lynn trusts you, then Grunkle Stan...I trust you". Dipper shouted "MABEL, ARE YOU CRAZY?! WE'RE ALL GONNA-" and the portal is opened, the mystery man said "I'm coming, Lynn".

 Then, everything comes down to earth. The portal, now a mess of tangled wires and metal, glows bright blue. A figure emerges from the portal. The blue light fades behind him. He walks forward, placing a six-fingered hand on the cover of the first journal, then picks it up and places it into the inside pocket of a long, dark coat. Dipper asked "What...? Who is that?" Stan said to Dipper "The author of the journals...", the mystery man pulls off goggles, revealing his face. He looks nearly identical to Stan and Stan said "..my brother". Dipper, Mabel and Soos were shocked, but then Mabel said "Is this the part where one of us faints?" Soos said to her "Oh oho, I am so on it, dude" and then he faints, Stan's brother went up to me and untied the rope from my waist. Stan's brother is holding me in his arms and I slowly opened my eyes and looked up and saw him looking down at me, he said to me "Hello, Lynn" and I said "Hello, sir".
