third person pov.

Jennie was walking towards her restaurant with Jisoo after fighting to find parking. Thatwas it. She decided that she would rent space in the nearby parking garage and reserve it forher customers only. There should be no reason why parking should be that scarce especiallysince it was so late. Why were there so many people still flooding the area?

Perhaps Jennie was overreacting to the situation. She wasn't in the best of moods since thatmorning with Lisa . She had sent Lisa a text asking about having lunch but received a oneanswer reply and it wasn't the reply Jennie wanted. She tried to tell herself that Lisa wasbusy with work and that's why she declined. Still her doubts had been eating at her. Had shecompletely fucked up their friendship with her obsessive need to devour every woman thatpiqued her interest.

"Lilah." Jisoo's deep voice shook her from her own thoughts. She didn't have a problemwalking fast but Jennie was damn near running at this point. She had been stuck in her headmost of the day. Jisoo would talk and she'd pretend to listen, which wasn't like her. She knew her tobe the quiet reserved type, yes, but Jennie was a wonderful listener usually.

"Yes?" She answered.

"Your father is coming into town this weekend. He'd like to schedule a dinner with you."Jisoo meant to tell her earlier but it had slipped her mind under the laundry list of otherthings she had to be on top of.

"Okay. Sounds good but why didn't he just tell me himself?" She wondered aloud. She knewher father liked his schedules. He wasn't a fan of change and he was particular about justabout everything in his life. There wasn't a thing he didn't have a preference on. He did notoperate in grey areas. He was strict man but he was loving. He always treated Jennie like theprincess she was. There was never a time Jennie felt like she wasn't the most important thingin his life.

"He said he tried but you didn't answer." Jisoo replied.

Jennie chuckled "And of course he didn't leave a voicemail." He never does.

"You know your papa. That's not his way." Jisoo laughed too. The old man was stubborn inhis ways. That was for sure, but Jisoo would do anything for him.

Kim was actually Jennie's mother's middle name. Jennie's full name was Jennie Ruby Jane Kim. Jane was her father's last name, obviously. Her parents were never married and her mother died before they ever had the chance to. She died while Jennie was so young, she didn't even have any memories of her.

When they were just teens, Jisoo was what would you would call a street rat. She was neverup to any good, selling drugs and chasing anything in skirt. She hung around Jennie a lot butnever got disrespectful with her. Jisoo knew who her father was. Everyone knew, exceptJennie. He wasn't someone to play with and everyone that knew him, knew Jennie was offlimits.

Jisoo recalled the day she started "working" for Mr. Jane. She would never forget it.Jisoo was waiting for Jennie to come out of their brownstone so she could follow her toschool and keep her company. Jisoo and Jennie didn't even go to the same school but shedidn't care. She just liked being around her.

She remembered Mr. Jane leaning against her car. He whistled at her and whispered"Rabbit." That's what Mr. Jane called her. Jisoo laughed just thinking about her cooland easy demeanor. Jennie acted just like him. He told Jisoo that he would give her twohundred dollars a week to look out for Jennie and to keep her nose clean.

That meant nomore selling drugs and if someone had a problem with that they could ask him about it.(Nobody dared to ask him about it.) Jisoo agreed. The money only increased the olderJisoo got. They got closer and now it was like Jisoo was his daughter and Jennie's sister. Shenever really had her own family and she would kill for them.... Jisoo had killed for them.
