-- A Few Days Later --

I finally walked out the walk in closet, stopping in front of the mirror to get rid of any imperfections.

"No. Wear a different hoodie. I don't like this one." I heard Maddy comment from laying on the bed.

"Did i ask for your opinion?"

"There's no need for asking," she stood up, "you should already know to listen to me." She finished off and walked in the closet herself, picking out a new one.

"I swear, if it wasn't my birthday, i'd cuss you the hell out right now. You didn't allow me to do anything today! Even the things i wanted us to do for this special day, you just-"

"Wear this." The girl calmly said, helping me pull off the one i had on before and i took the new clothing piece with pure annoyance. "Now are you done? Can we go?"

"Go where? Baby! What now?! I wanted a movie night! Do you not see how i'm dressed?!" I exclaimed.

"Exactly. That's why i asked you to change into a warmer hoodie now stop complaining and come with me." She grabbed my hand, pulling me with her to the front door.

"I'm supposed to be planning this day! I absolutely spoiled you on your birthday and what the hell are you doing on my own day?!"

"Zip it, babe. Shoes and coat on. It's the first snowy day so i don't want you to be cold or even get sick before our wedding." Maddy said, getting her own outdoor clothes on.

I felt as Maddy's hand slipped in mine, purposely tightening it so i finally pulled my eyes off the view, noticing as she's already gazing at me.

"Remember?" She questioned with a soft smile. "How can you even forget? This place holds the most dangerous yet beautiful start of our story." I responded, wrapping my arms around her for a hug.

"Right. Our first kiss. Where it all began." She whispered just by my ear and i positioned my face back in front of hers. "It's crazy how far we've come. Looking back, it's surprising that we survived but now we're here, happiest as ever."

"Come." Maddy grabbed my hand back, leading me out the cave and on the road. "Remember the path? When it was raining?" She excitingly questioned, pointing ahead to the area that was restricted from it being winter.

"I do, babe. I remember everything." I pulled her back from the gate, making us face each other. "I swear, i now understand that i didn't even need all the restaurants, gifts, all i needed is a good old road trip with nothing else but the two of us being together."

"Goes to show that it's not always gonna be a bad decision to listen to me." Her arms laid on my shoulders with a smirk. "You know, i love the rain but something about watching you smile whilst it's snowing, it's different." I said, cupping her face to warm up her red toned cheeks.

"Different? In what way?"

"Because i know how much you like winter. How much more you adore it. Knowing that you're happy because of the weather and also being with me, i can't even help to just smile myself."
