- Maddy -

The sudden feeling of Lauren's hand pulling out of mine had the tiredness drift away and i shifted my face towards her.

"Your phone is more important than i am?" I questioned after seeing her buried in the screen. "Have to delete some photos to free up space. I want to make our first trip and the beginning of our new life the most memorable." Lauren gave me a smile.

"Be careful on what you delete though. Just recently i had gone through your gallery and honestly there's nothing i want to be gone."

"You've been checking my phone?" The woman's eyes fully locked on me. "Who said that? Babe, wait! Someone's been going through your phone? That's crazy. You should, ehm, call the police." I spoke but definitely wasn't able to hold the eye contact, rather taking a look towards the other side and out the plane's window.

"You're so cute! I can't." I heard her joyful exclamation and i didn't hesitate to look back, copying her smile.

"Spain is quite the beginning though. You could have chose something simple. I'm alright with starting the travel life easy, not so luxurious already." I decided to comment, grabbing her hand back in mine to hold.

"Maddy, what's so luxurious about this? Spain is popular, not a country that only rich people go to." Lauren replied completely confused. "Babe, we're in first class." I immediately responded, looking at her like i'm confused now.

"Nothing wrong with economy. I would have been fine there." I kept going but the sudden tightness in the hand holding had me release a hiss.

"Don't even think about it! From now on we're only flying first class! I don't want you to be cramped up in those small seats, let alone be brushing against some idiots that, oh so accidentally, will caress your thigh or whatever."

"Protective, huh?" I leaned closer, asking with a smile. "What's mine is mine. Touch it and you'll be flying off this plane without a parachute." Lauren sternly responded, making my smile widen even more.

"Yes but i can say the same to you. Just because you're older and have the control doesn't mean that i'm not about to be protective too." I commented yet her face definitely showcased surprise.

"Is that so?" Her lips lingered in front of mine and i was about to break the gap but Lauren pulled away, putting the attention on the flight attendant that just stopped by our seats.

"Champagne refill?" The girl pulled the bottle in our sight, my girlfriend happily gesturing for it to be filled."Husband? Wife? Single?" Lauren unexpectedly questioned.

"Third guess." The girl responded with a smile. "Looking for the second guess though?" Lauren's question brought full understanding of what she was doing, every nerve inside me spiking with annoyance.

"Excuse me," i glanced down to her name tag, "Paula. I'm her wife so i suggest you stop playing along and-"

"Fiancée," Lauren abruptly stopped me, "so i'm not officially tied to her and perhaps you could take up my offer for us to go out on a date sometime?" The suggestion wasn't even the worst part of it as i noticed Lauren's hand brush against hers.

"You're dead, so dead." I mumbled under my breath and crossed my arms, absolutely done with watching them as i rather focused out the side window.

"I think i'll go. I have to serve the others." The flight attendant's words still traveled towards me and soon enough i felt my hand be grabbed.

"Real funny, babe. I'm absolutely dying of laughter." I gave her a serious look. "I did it to see if your words were true but obviously they weren't."

"What words?! What the fuck was this about?" I immediately fired out. "I said that if anyone would dare to touch you, they'd be falling to their death which you agreed on yourself but i guess you're not that protective as that girl is still alive and happy."

"You've gotta be kidding me." My lips gapped, actually shocked about the reason to all of this. "I have a purpose to be mad at you! You lied, Mads. That's unacceptable."

"Oh? Okay! Well if that's what you want then okay!" I stood up and was just about to leave my seat area but Lauren's sudden grab had me yanked back down.

"God, please, no. That's a hypothetical thing about them getting thrown off the plane like that." She released a laugh that i honestly didn't hesitate to copy as i actually had no intention to go all the way there.

"I still don't want you to do that ever again. Sure, i'm not gonna be that jealous to not let you talk to others but keep your nasty hands only on me." I commented, grabbing her champagne glass for a sip.

"When we get to the hotel, that's all i'll be doing." I watched her lean closer and i finally got the chance to close the gap, giving her a kiss.
