Prologue

I was calmly sipping on the wine, my back resting on the backrest of the couch, when the door suddenly opened without my consent.

"Invading privacy-" I was cut off when my mind went blank.

"Queen." My right hand approached and crouched a bit as a sign of respect to me. But my attention was locked with the guy behind him.

From his hair, his furrowed eyebrows, those deep brown eyes, his nose, his lips...

My eyes were pooled by tears when it darted to his neck and the visible part of his chest because of the three unbuttoned buttons of his polo. Those familiar moles and it's places...

I slowly stood up and stared at his eyes which is also staring at mine.

This familiar feeling that only him can make me feel.

I never thought I would see him again.

"I'm sorry for bothering you, Queen. But this is my friend whom I was talking about the other day. I want you to meet him in person. He's so good at close combats, even in weapons. I'm sure he can help you."

It was eleven years. Eleven years and I've never forgotten about how those eyes flatters me everytime we make eye contact. Everytime he's about to kiss me.

It was eleven years and I am still so in love with the impossibility of the two of us.

"This is-"

"Justine..." I called him. I saw how his jaw clenched and he looked away.

Ken's eyebrows furrowed and he glanced at Justine before facing me again and clearing his throat.

"No, my Queen." Ken said and smiled a bit. Justine's eyes darted to Ken. I saw a bit of, I don't know, disgust? Or hatred?

Then it struck me. He told me when we were in high school and only him can call me "my Queen."

With that thought, my tears fell but I immediately wiped it off.

"He's Kai Tuazon." Ken continued.

My heart palpitated. It hurt so damn bad but I disregarded it.

Kai Tuazon.

I composed myself and sat back.

I gestured them to sit and they abided.

My other trusted men— Aragorn, Silver, Jaero, Pierre, Jaxon, Kleo and Deron came and sat beside me. Jaxon sat on the floor next to where my feet lies.

"So, what do you do for living?" Aragorn asked before he sips on his wine.

With a controlled expression, Justine answered.

"I am an architect, a captain and a pilot. I also run a private business." Even his voice. The only thing that can calm my thoughts. I have been longing for this moment for a decade and one. This moment where I am able to see him and hear his voice again.

I looked away and took a sip on my drink.

"Queen, you got a rock." Jaero said and smirked. I looked at him coldly and hissed.

"An ace, Jaero." I corrected him and stood up.

They all stood up with me.

"You can all stay here and catch up with Kai Tuazon." I said and fixed my hair.

"Where are you goin', Queen?"

"Gotta do some clean up." I answered before turning my back to them.

I felt a heavy stare from my back and I know that it wasn't from my boys.

Are you proud of what I've become, Justine? I finally reached my dreams. Are you okay with this?

I have been a loser before I gain strength and built up my home. I became one of the boys.

I was harmed by men and none of them survived. I am stronger now, Justine. Are you happy for me?

Are you happy because finally no one can ever hurt me again and that I don't have to worry about my safety anymore? I hope you are. Because I am more than happy to be in this place where my mind is my only enemy.

I took a bath while thinking about the years I've spent wondering how would it feel like if we were still together, or ended up with each other when we're in senior high school or in our college journey?

I've spent eleven fucking years to be fucking strong and just a fucking glance of his damn face and I'm fucking breaking into pieces of dust, like, what the actual fuck?!

I headed to one of my mansion in Taguig. I dropped by my friends condo before leaving for the headquarter.

I have to meet some Taiwanese smugglers. They were sent by an Italian lad who sells weapons.

"The Philippine Panther." One of the Taiwanese approached. I nodded at him and skilfully scanned the whole place at one glance.

"I thought that panther is a guy. Geez." The other man said.

"Well, then. You're wrong." I said and shrugged my shoulder. He smirked before reaching for my hand for a handshake.

I took his hands and he pulled me, causing me to pull my dagger out and brought it on the side of his neck.

I smirked when he gulped.

"I came here for the items I bought. One wrong move and you wouldn't be able to see your kids again." I said cooly.

"That's enough, Emer." His companion said.

"I was just fooling around." He reasoned out and let go of my hands. I smirked at him again and brought my dagger back on its place.

I flipped my hair and sat on the chair next to me.

"How's it, Kin?" I asked the other guy.

"Well, just like how it is advertised by my boss." He then smiled and ordered one of his men to bring the casket towards us.

I stared at it blankly for I know it will be useless in huge wars.

I rolled my eyes when I saw the weapon.

"Are you fucking kidding me?" I seriously asked.

"Oh, no! This is a bonus from our boss. The items you bought are right there." He said and pointed his finger of the other side of the room. I did not followed the direction that his finger is pointing for I know this some kind of tricks.

"You wanna die." I didn't asked him. I stated.

"Edgardo, bring it in!" He shouted with a cracking voice.

Another man showed up with a casket again. He stopped in front of me and opened it.

I saw the rifles I bought. I checked the magazines, the rifle and I even tried two magazines.

"Bueno, send my regards to your boss. 'Til next time." I said and cocked my gun which made them skedaddle the area.

I contacted Pierre to come and pick up the weapons and in just a minute, he came. With Justine. Or should I call him...

Kai Tuazon.
