While Wriothesley sat there, trying his best to recollect his thoughts, Neuvillette, blissfully unaware, chewed at a piece of Bulle Fruit, the sweet, nectarine taste exploding on his tongue. A sense of contentment washed over him. He'd always enjoyed these fruits, for many hundred of years. They never ceased to bring a smile to his face and make him go weak in the knees.

Just like a certain Administrator of the Fortress of Meropide...

He thought to himself, a soft coo, similar to that of a Mourning Dove escaping his lips. His draconic tongue peeked out, the forked ends lapping up any of the juice he might've left on his fingers. After all, the Iudex didn't want to stomp around with sticky fingers.

"A-Ah, Neuvillette, how about t-that dinner we were discussing?"

Oh, right. Hm... he couldn't leave Lucille all alone though... what if his baby girl got hurt? Or worse, she went missing?

He pondered his choices for a second, before an idea surfaced.

I could leave her with her big sister, perfect!

Neuvillette turns to Wriothesley, nodding.

"Very well, but on our way, may I stop by an old acquaintance's house?"

"O-Of course, no problem."

The Iudex nodded, and so, they set of, Lucille in his arms.

As they walked through the Court of Fontaine, Wriothesley couldn't help but notice the stares and looks they got from the locals.

...Which he couldn't blame them for, exactly. Considering that Neuvillette was holding onto a little girl, never mind the fact that she was a perfect mix between both men. Neuvillette seemingly didn't pay any attention, lifting the baby to his face, kissing her and cooing at her like an over affectionate mother. Lucille, being a mere infant, didn't mind it at all, instead giggling and babbling to him, even occasionally tapping his on the nose of fiddling with his jabot. Lucille's little blue eyes twinkled with excitement, and Wriothesley gently reached over, ruffling her hair.

Lucille suddenly reached over, as if wanting the Duke to hold her in his arms instead of the Chief Justice. To his surprise, Neuvillette didn't have an issue with it, instead fondly kissing her nose finally, and handing her to him.

Wriothesley smiled, taking the little girl happily and carefully throwing her in the air, before catching her. The Iudex visibly tensed, but once he realized that Lucille wasn't being injured or harmed, he relaxed. The baby girl laughed, hugging him as he brought her close to his chest, wrapping her little arms around his neck, yawning.

How precious, my little daughter...
