CHAPTER 2.51

The first student used water magic to create several spikes and send it in the direction of the professor, but Professor Keda was too capable of avoided the attack with ease by using his earth magic. Upon realizing she had not succeeded in hitting the professor, the student's expression dropped.

Just one hit...Only one hit!

Regardless of how the female student used her water magic to attack Professor Keda. It is blocked every time.

With a silent eye on his student, Professor Keda remarked, "Good try, but unfortunately, the sand has long stopped."

Startled, the female student turned to face the hourglass that had been set down on a table close to her classmates. The sand is all gone already.

She was so focused on attacking the professor that she failed despite not even realizing it. She was rather let down.

Professor Keda has exceptional blocking and evading skills. He did not even return the attack.

Professor Keda maintained a serious stare on the worn out student as she collapsed against the ground.

"You've wasted your feeble attempts."

The student flinched at his comment, feeling a flood of disappointment rush over her. She had planned to impress her professor with her abilities, even though she had yet to reach the AEM, but instead she found herself completely devastated.

"Next..." Professor Keda called another student.

The next student stepped forward nervously, eyeing Professor Keda with a mixture of apprehension and determination. As they prepared to demonstrate their skills, the fallen student dragged herself up from the ground, her pride wounded.

Another test for the next student started, but it was the same.

The cycle continued with each student attempting to best Professor Keda, only to be met with his unwavering skill and impenetrable defense. One by one, they fell short, their hopes dashed against the unyielding wall of their instructor's expertise.

One hit. They can't even do it. It was difficult for them as the professor is just too good.

...

"Ugh," a male student stepped back in fear, and a blade fell beneath his footing.

He was skilled with swords and able to channel his magic via them. It was a valuable talent to have. But he hardly touched the professor.

A silence fell across the academy grounds. The sand in the hourglass has run out.

The male student currently taking the test was confronted with a pointed earth magic in front of his face.

His legs gave out and he fell on his buttocks on the ground, staring in fear.

He was completely defeated and exhausted, Professor Keda's expression remained impassive. "Inadequate," he stated simply, his voice cutting through the air like a blade. The weight of his disappointment hung heavily around which made the atmosphere get gloomy.

The remaining students who haven't called to take the test were Hiroka, Riku, Yui and even Mei.

"Next...Mei Gin" called Professor Keda, his voice echoing across the training grounds.

Mei Gin stepped forward slowly, her heart beating in her chest.

She clutched an average dagger as he approached the professor. She could feel her classmates looking at her.

There were no expectations for her classmates because they knew it would be the same.

'Tsk, another commoner.'
