Madison's POV
I just jolted awakened by the sound of a loud crash and lots of talking.
When I finally figured out my senses, I realized I was cuddled into Ella. When I tried to sit up a bit, my whole body ached.
"Just lay down," Ella whispered having also just woken up.
"Someone's here," I said yawning.
"What do you mean?"
"There's people in my house,"
"Who?"
"Look! It's my mom!" I replied cheerfully.
I tried to push myself up more, but I was too tired and sore to do anything, so I just called my mom.
"HI MOM!"
My mom yelled a million things in Dutch, including "Are you okay?" and "How do you feel?" and things like that.
The confused look on Ell's face showed she was still half asleep. Her eyes were wide and she was looking around confused.
I tried to answer my mom in Dutch while also remembering the events of last night. I remembered everything, from the pong to truth or dare, from opening the door to falling asleep with Ella. I don't remember the blanket though.
"Mom, I'm fine, just don't touch my bruises," I said with a yawn. She told me to go up to bed and she just had some things to talk over with my dad and that I needed more rest.
"Alright Mom," I said, pulling Ella off the couch. " Come on, let's go up,"
"Your eye looks like a grape and your bottom lip looks like you've had Botox gone wrong," She said.
"Thanks for the analogies," I said with a sigh while walking up the stairs.

Madison's POV
I woke up to the sound of my phone blowing up. Ella was still asleep, so I answered all the texts quietly trying not to wake her.
Also because I'm in quite a bit of pain.
Everyone on the team had texted me, as had all my other friends. I realised it had all hit the news this morning, so I looked them up.
Every headline when I looked myself up was no longer about my hat trick, or anything football-related other than stating that I was a footballer.
"Lioness Newcome Superstar Madison Lewis Gets Attacked At Her Own House' was the first headline I read.
I scrolled through the rest of the headlines, then went back to the first one and clicked on it.
"The Lioness's most recent star player Madison Lewis was the victim of an assault last night by her own sister. Leonor Lewis was charged with an assault, violation of a restraining order, and possession of an illegal weapon.
At the scene, Madison was accompanied by 5 teammates from the Lionesses who provided backup and helped her make it out.
"She knocked my phone out of my hands when I threatened to call the police. I am very thankful for my teammates being there. My teammate Rachel Daly was there and able to back me up and call the police." Said Madison Lewis.
The other people on the scene were teammates Lucy Bronze, Ella Toone, Georgia Stanway and Alessia Russo.
The 18-year-old claims that her sister came up to the front door and knocked. She immediately started to get harassed for money.
That claim is backed up by the statements of her teammates.
"I heard it from the living room. Madison denied her money many times, but she continued to ask. Eventually, it started to get physical, and Madison was able to block the first few attempts of physical contact, which was an attempted punch to the head. Then she stopped the other hand, and jumped backwards, dodging a knee to the stomach." Said Bronze. "But it only got worse from there, which was when the real punches started getting thrown. Only then did we have to get involved in order to keep her safe."
Alessia Russo claims that her teammate's face was "A bruised and bloody mess," by the time that they had separated the fight.
"Madison was not fighting back by any means. All she cared about was protecting herself. She would never hurt anyone." teammate Georgia Stanway said.
Stanway had assisted Bronze in stopping the fight.
"As I pushed Madison away, Georgia Stanway bravely pinned the other girl against the house and knocked the knife out of her hand," states Lucy Bronze.
As for the knife, no one knows the intention of carrying it. Madison Lewis states that she did not notice the knife before Stanway knocked it out of her sister's hand. She said she had been attacked by only punches.
We will continue to provide updates with the most up-to-date and relevant information as it comes in. For now, this is all we know. Out of respect for the family and everyone involved some details may not be released.
"What a joke," I grumbled. This is not what I wanted, especially not so early on in my career.
"What's a joke?" Ella asked having just woken up, rolling over to face me.
"You'll never guess who all the headlines are about today,"
"Aw crap,"
"I hate this," I sighed. My eye was beginning to throb quite a bit, as well as my left arm.
"What's wrong with it? It is publicity,"
"Yeah, but I wanted to make it on my own. Not with some sob story that makes people feel sorry for me. I want people to root for me because I'm a good player, not because I got punched a few times and it hit the news,"
"Madi, it was more than a few times,"
"Well I don't care to be honest, I'm fine, so no one should think anything of it. And I need to let people know that, because I don't want people wasting their time worrying about me for no reason,"
"You're over the top unselfish," Ella said while giggling.
"Whatever. I'm going to get breakfast. My parents definitely want to ask a million more questions that I don't wanna answer," I said grumpily.
SORRY FOR NOT POSTING RECENTLY. I'VE BEEN UNWELL BUT I'M BACK <3
