Ivy was frozen for a moment until she noticed Dom walking towards her.

"Ivy?" He called unsure.

She hastened her steps but he quickly caught up to her, holding her elbow and turning her to face him.

She slapped him hard on his face.

He held his affected cheek, "I deserved that, didn't I?"

She raised her hand to hit him again but he caught it, "whoa, okay let's slow down."

"What are you doing in my company?"

"Ivy, I tried to reach you for years how did you..."

"Security!" She raised her voice.

He let go of her and raised his hands in defeat, "I'll leave on my own."

She watched him leave before holding onto a table next to her realizing that her legs were wobbly.

"I hid myself from the public image for so long, moved to a different city and thought I would never meet with him."

She said all these words, shock running through her veins.

"How is Dom Harding here at my company?"

She shook her head and headed to pick her son from school, fear gripping her, "now that he's here, he must never find out about Dalton."

She was flooded with relief after picking Dalton up and he was fine.

"Mommy you took so long."

"I'm so sorry baby."

He looked exactly like Dom, it was hard to forget the man when her son was a mini version of him.

"I'll make it up to you, we will get to do something together."

She crouched to his height and kissed his forehead before leading him into the SUV.

They got to their huge mansion, built on a six acre property.

"Today at school, I got the best score in art and I also...mommy is something wrong? You look so down."

Dalton was well spoken than other children his age so it was hard to mask her feelings from him.

"Mommy is fine," she forced a smile.

She needed a distraction.

The date with John Simone will help.

She pulled her phone called Avril, "can you watch my son?"

"What happened?"

"I'll go on the date with John."

"Oh em gee!" Avril squealed into the phone, "I'll be there right away!"

"Are you going out mommy?" Dalton wondered.

"Yes I'll be back in the evening, so spend time with Avril, eat all the things you think you'll need."

By the time I return, I'll be fine, she thought.

She slipped on a perfect designer limited edition dress that hugged all he curves and headed out.

"I can't believe you're going, give me all the deets!" Avril said in excitement.

"Don't make me change my mind."

"Just do everything perfectly, dont be too scary, don't scare him off, he has admired you for the longest he was so happy when I told him you'd make it."

"Whatever," Ivy rolled her eyes.

"Ivy it's the perfect chance to let go of that man ..."

"Don't talk about him next to me," she warned, her heart was racing the point of all this was to move on from him and forget him for good.

"Oh yes did you meet with the CEO?"

"Enough business talk Avril!"

"Wow I never thought I would hear you say those words."

"Just keep an eye on Dalton the entire time, I might come back late."

She felt sad she couldn't spend enough time with her baby but she couldn't be with him at this moment because she knew he would easily read her bad mood.

"Come back as late as you want, you need a real good fuck, it's been ages."

"Shut up Avril."

"It's true, come on, let loose have fun "

"I don't know about fun or letting loose but we will see."

Anything to get away from Dom, she thought.

She turned around to leave for the date.

John Simone was waiting at the restaurant. He was a well known business man with high demand, a blonde British man with beautiful green eyes.

"You look even more beautiful than in the pictures," he said.

She took her seat, ignoring his gesture and waving the waiter over.

"Let's get straight to it."

"Wow, even as cold as rumored."

"What do you want to know?"

"Everyone knows how successful you are, but what about your personal life?"

"I know you just want my connections but it's useless."

"That's far from the truth, I've only ever admired your business tactics."

He poured her a glass, "you're so beautiful, admirable and achieved world breaking success in such a short time, how is that all possible?"

The whole time as he was speaking, the only thing she could think about was Dom Harding.

"This isn't working," she groaned. She needed him out of her head.

"More alocohol will solve it."

"What?" John was confused.

"Another glass," her cold voice called.

He did just as said.

With every drink she thought, 'I spent years trying to run from him, did he finally come here, is he here to take my son? I will never let him.'

After she'd emptied a whole bottle, she still wanted more.

"I think that's enough." John worried.

"Shut the fuck up, who the hell are you to tell me what to do?"

"Ivy I think you're too drunk to function, let me take you back home." He suggested.

"Bullshit, I've got this on my own."

She got to her feet, "this was a damn waste of time, you didn't help at all."

"I don't know what you need help with... We couldn't talk enough because you spent most of the time drinking..."

She lost her balance as she took more steps, ignoring him, she leaned backwards almost falling to the floor, but someone caught her.

She leaned against his embrace, his chest hard and comforting.

John was faced with a deep death glare from Dom Harding, "I'll take it from here." He said.
