Two days later and the both of you were laying out on a beach in Hawaii, having flown here in your private jet, courtesy of your pilot, Benjamin, who really hated when you called him Benny.
She was in a black and white one-piece suit, her beautifully tanned legs crossed as you lounged on the long chair and you were in a black and yellow striped bikini with a white towel hung loosely around your shoulders that always burned way too fast.
"That's your third, baby," She scolded you softly, her eyes still closed even though nobody could tell with the shades she had covering them, and you wondered how she even heard the silent server come over with your drink, "Don't want to get drunk before noon, do you?"
"You love drunk me." You scoffed, taking a loud sip, and watching as she tried to hide her amused smile.
"Only when you're with me," She clarified, remembering a few occasions when you got a bit too affectionate with smug strangers, "When you're left on your own...I don't like it."
"Well, I'm with you now," You told her cheekily, adding, "And we're on vacation, so."
She chuckled in agreement, sighing in content, and then got up, making you raise your eyebrows, silently wondering where she was going. But then she just moved her stuff over and got onto the lounge chair with you, snuggling into your side as your arm immediately when around her shoulders.
"You look so hot." She mumbled, kissing any of your bare skin she could reach softly, and you hummed in response before actually speaking.
"You're one to talk, Miss Maximoff." You kissed the top of her head.
The two of you were beyond exhausted, between the flight and having just checked in to the hotel mere hours ago, you both should probably be napping, but it's Hawaii and she's never been, so while you both recuperated, it was at least going to be by the ocean.
The resort was one of the most expensive places you've visited and even though Wanda questioned you about it, you just waved it off because in reality to the situation you were in, you could buy an island and barely feel it on your wallet. The two of you silently agreed not to really discuss money or how you got it, it just made for unnecessary accomplice that you didn't want to bother her with, and she secretly liked the mystery of it.
So, for the next few weeks, the two of you would be soaking up the beautiful island while eating, swimming, hiking, and exploring the area, completely unreachable. Nobody knew where you were here, you had only left word with Sam that you were taking Wanda on a holiday and he encouraged you to go, saying it was a big step, but you had already moved in together, so you didn't see the big deal.
After everything, your dad's history and bloodline, the magic soaring through your veins, and digging up things that you had buried so deeply years ago, you needed the time away for some perspective. Just to completely relax, let go, and spend time with the person you loved and trusted the most in your life.
And after what happened in your bathroom in the townhouse, you were tempted to sell the place or just burn the thing to the ground, but Wanda saw your attachment to the older building, so she made it her mission to make it feel like home again before it became both of yours. You did your part too, making sure anything your grandmother, the demon-looking witch, touched was replaced, so you hired people to come tear it down and make it new. You had your bathroom redone and got new furniture for the entire place just because it felt like a fresh start and you wanted to make it more your and Wanda's styles instead of just your own.
You never thought you'd be living with someone you were in a relationship with, assuming you would've screwed it up by now, but thankfully, she didn't seem to be going anywhere and that always sent a newfound warmth through your chest.
"You coming?" She asked, breaking your train of thought, and you blinked a few times before responding, her hand already out for you as she stood over the chair now.
"Where to?" You asked back, already placing your hand in hers, and she giggled, starting to run, leading you towards the water.
You smiled as the water crashed over your ankles and she led you in further, only letting go of your hand when a small wave hit her, both of you laughing as she started splashing you.
You were both grinning so widely your cheeks hurt and when she turned to watch another wave coming your guys' way, you jumped and tackled her into the water, dunking her under and accidentally going with when you slipped. The salt water filled your senses before you emerged, laughing through a cough, and she scowled playfully over at you, your hair both soaked now. She lunged forward, grabbing your middle, and trying to hoist you over her shoulder, but failing miserably when another wave hit, making her knees give way, both of you falling again.
There was a loud motor noise in the distance, and you paused for a moment to watch as a few people jet skied their way out to the other side where there looked to be a bonfire being set up.
"I wanna do that." You told her, pointing like a child at the people, and she chuckled before following where you referring to, nodding in agreement.
"Now?" She asked and you shrugged, not having thought that far ahead, making her smile, "Okay, let's go!"
Within an hour, the two of you were out in the water on jet skiis, and goofing off, doing pretty much everything you were instructed not to do, before you guys ventured over to the other part of the island. They were setting up for a party and happily invited you to stay, enjoy it while the sun set, so you did just that.
The sky looked beautiful as it swirled with pinks, oranges, and yellows, making you squinted to watch as it got darker over time. Wanda had her arms around your waist from behind, the heat from the fire in the near distance on her back, a warm welcome. She nestled her chin on your shoulder, and leaned into you with soft, lidded eyes. She turned to kiss under your ear lightly when you hummed, holding her arms to you, and you breathed in the salty air deeply, still feeling like this was all a dream.
The wind whistled around you, a nice contrast to how hot it was, and the night made the temperature a little brisker. The two of you stayed like that for a while, watching the sun disappear behind the trees as the fire crackled in the background, wisps of hair clutching the sides of your face as the wind blew, and you smiled impossible wider when she whispered into your ear,
"Will you marry me?"
