"Sweetheart."

"Max."

"Love."

"Babycakes."
"Y/n."

"Wanda."

"Okay, enough," She groaned in frustration, shaking her head, and trying not to smile, wanting to be mad at you, but always having a hard time with that, "You need to let me go so I can push the button."
"Cuddles." You grumbled stubbornly, hanging onto her like a koala.

She sighed, using her powers to press the elevator button and it dinged a second later, so she carried you onto it with a huff.

After announcing your guys' engagement soon after coming back from Hawaii, Stark threw a huge party for the two of you. Everyone pulled you both this way and that, asking a million questions about the relationship you had managed to keep pretty lowkey up until this point. You were used to making small talk or just drinking with friends, it was something you had been doing for almost half your life now, but in those few weeks away with Wanda, it made you not want to do the party scene so much anymore. You felt more settled down and content with the friends you had, even if some of those were avengers, and now the love of your life.

It actually pained you that you couldn't really spend the night at the party with your fiancé, only catching her eye from across the crowded room now and then. Always seeing how she was preoccupied with talking to whoever at the moment, but always shooting you an apologetic smile because she could tell how you felt, her feeling the same.

So, by the time two in the morning rolled around, the party slowing enough, you were exhausted, your social battery was dead, you were a bit drunk, and missing your girl.

She was tired too, but she easily used her powers to keep her hold and prevent herself from accidentally dropping you. You buried your face into her neck, breathing in her scent that was a mix of lavender, a hint of whiskey, and everything that made her your Wanda. You hummed, feeling safe and sleepy in her arms, but then she was gently putting you in a cab after kissing the top of your head in response.

You pouted when she let you go, but then she was climbing in next to you, holding you close as your legs went over her lap, and told the driver the address to the townhouse.

There was a slight urgency to her voice because the two of you had recently learned, it happened in Hawaii a few times, that if you're sleepy, drunk, or just plain sleepy drunk, your powers can flick on and off. Your eyes would always glow just enough with that blue and it worked as a warning for those around you who knew. It wasn't a huge thing, mainly just meant that they were so strong it was hard to read your signals and they were so much easier to use these days, so it turned on randomly when you weren't in your right mind.

On the way to your guys' home, the cab stopped short twice and then picked up speed again seconds later when you turned the world back in its place. You, in your sloppy mind, thought it was hilarious how the driver jerked forward a bit and then act as if nothing had happened, but Wanda just sent you a look, making you stifle your laughs.

With a little help from her magic, she carried you bridle style. after paying the driver, with ease up the townhouse's steps and got inside using more of her power. She laid you down on the couch and then went to lock the door, turning the hall light on as well as the kitchen so the whole place wasn't pitch black.

She must not have drunk as much or just wasn't as tired, because she was already getting out some painkillers and grabbing a couple of water bottles to put on the coffee table. Since the new couch you had picked out together was even bigger than your last one, she could comfortably spoon you from behind as you nuzzled into the cushions on the back of it.

"What about a fall wedding?"

It was the next day, well after the hangovers faded off, and the two of you were sipping tea and coffee in the kitchen. She was leaning back against the sink, cup in both hands, and you were on a stool, bent over the island, cupping your own drink.

You were wearing a black lingerie set with a fluffy midnight blue robe over top, feeling a bit chilly in the early spring days, and matching slippers on your feet with your hair relaxed.

She was in a dark red lace lingerie set that you had bought for her, even though she wouldn't appreciate the designer label, you liked to go all out with pretty much everything, and a white silk robe that was loosely tied, showing it off perfectly.

"How's about we fly to Vegas and get married right now." You offered back, completely serious if she wanted to actually do that, and then you smiled when she laughed after scrunching her nose up, trying to stop herself.

"You're crazy."

"I'll marry you anywhere, any place, and as many times as you like," You shrugged before taking a sip, adding after, "If you're happy, I'm happy."

"Having a wedding in the fall, with all the beautiful leaves, maybe upstate, someplace close, would make me really happy." She told you softly, taking a sip of her drink afterwards, and watching you the entire time.

"Not in a different country or even state?" You blurted out, surprised by the simple request.

"Don't need to," She shrugged, "Just want a simple wedding, with all our friends, and the beautiful fall colors."

"That sounds amazing." You told her honestly, smiling at the idea of having something more to the mild side, because even though you could afford just about any extravagant wedding, you knew it wasn't about that and she clearly did too.

"Yeah?" She mused, putting her cup down in the sink, and coming around the island to be next to you while she trailed her fingertips up your arm before holding your shoulders, leaning close to your ear when she whispered, "But for now, how's about you give me a proper goodbye before I leave for my mission tomorrow?"

"Aren't I going with you?"

"Let's pretend you're not."

You gave her a nod, a smile erupting on her face, and the two of you ran upstairs with you chasing her, making her laugh the whole way.

Because after everything, the only person in this whole universe that could tear down your walls, make you feel so vulnerable and loved, was a certain Scarlet Witch.

And you would choose to be defenseless for her over and over again.

The End.
