What is it really? That's a question I ask myself a lot. I used to think love was something you only experienced when you met the right person, but the person I loved the most was someone I could never have because he's someone so dear to me. Losing him would be like losing myself, and I couldn't do that—not to us. At least, that's what I thought.

"I'm Kim Seungmin. I'm a junior in high school. I'm currently 15; my birthday is in a month. My best friend in the whole wide world and universe is Seo Changbin. He is currently a senior. He's also 17. He's 2 years older than me, which doesn't make sense to me sometimes because I feel like I'm way more mature than him (don't tell him I said that)."

"Anyways, me and Binnie hyung have been friends practically our whole lives. Our moms are besties, so we practically grew up together, but that's my problem. We grew up together; he's like a brother to me—at least that's what I thought he was to me." Seungmin sighs and scratches the back of his head.

"I've liked Changbin for over 7 years now, maybe longer if I knew my sexuality, but my problem is he will never like me, and that's my problem. If I continue liking my best friend, I will ruin things between us, plus I'm nothing more than an annoying little brother anyways."

Seungmin gets up from his bed and gets ready for the day. It was currently 7:39 a.m. School starts at 8:50.

Seungmin throws on a gray oversized hoodie that belongs to Changbin and some jeans that complement his body shape and black Converse. Seungmin fixes his hair before heading out. Seungmin has brown hair with blue highlights in the front that he and Changbin had dyed when Seungmin was having an anxiety attack. Seungmin grew up with anxiety, and Changbin was always first to help him, but over time he started dyeing his hair to help him get through it, which always resulted in Changbin and Seungmin with matching hair.

When Seungmin arrived at school, it was 7:53 a.m., so he had time to meet up with his friends. Skz, the little group they put together, contains 8 members: Bangchan—he was like the leader of the group because he put the group together—Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and Jeongin.

It was their little group. It was put together when they all met. They were pretty much friends for over 9 years now, which was basically the best thing to ever happen to Seungmin because he had the 00 line to talk about his problems to if he couldn't talk to Changbin.
