"Almost 48 hours ago", his words sunk in my tummy.

I had no clue where Wanda was or why she left me like that.
Everything began to make no sense. Where did Wanda leave too? Why did she leave without leaving a note? Why didn't she tell me where she was going?
Everything was going through my head. Worrying, confusion, and even sadness kicked in.

As I stood there, not saying anything, Steve looked at me with a slightly concerned expression. "Its yn right? What's wrong, she was with you, right?"

As Steve asked me about Wanda, I had to look away for a moment.

"Yeah...she was" I muttered, trying to hide the feeling of being upset about the fact that Wanda had left. Even tho, I still was glad she took care of me.

Steve looked at me with a puzzled expression.
"So you're telling me that Wanda-"

"Hasn't been seen by either of us in the last 24 hours, that would be correct" I said. Concerned, I looked at him again.

Steve pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed heavily. "So she didn't leave a letter to you?"

I slowly shook my head no.
"Not even a note, nothing? And she didn't say where she was going to be?" Steve asked, obviously still trying to put 2 and 2 together, searching for any kind of clue and hope.

It made me feel even worse, knowing Wanda was really gone. Or worse. Something happened to her.

"There are some empty guest rooms," he said, walking back and forth. "Go wait in one of them while I figure out what we'll do next." Then he left the hallway.

As I walked past the rooms, one caught my eye. It was obvious who it belonged to.

Wanda's room had a familiar smell and a personal touch. I slowly stepped inside and walked around. I sat down on her bed.

She had decorated her room nicely. I could still see some room for improvement, but it wasn't important. Wanda spent more time at the hotel. Where she should be right now... With me...

I felt a sense of desperation, like I couldn't live without her. Perhaps it was dramatic, but the thought of losing her scared me deeply. A part of me was afraid to lose her.

Steve entered the room and snapped me out of my thoughts. "I've thought about it," he said seriously. "You need to go back to your house or school. We'll handle the rest."

I looked at him, realizing I was pretty useless, but not liking the fact that I couldn't do anything.
"Wanda needs our help," I said.
Steve shook his head, determined to send me home. I stood up and sighed sadly, knowing it was for the best.

"I know what you're thinking, but it's for your own safety." He said.Looking at my still upset face, he took a breath before speaking again. "It's not safe and Wanda would never forgive me if I let her 17-year-old child, come to this search party,"

The words made me confused. I spoke in an annoyed voice, "You can drop the teasing, Steve. You know Wanda is just a friend." I couldn't believe Steve's attitude, especially since Wanda was right about how much of an ass he could be.

I knew how I secretly felt about Wanda. Without me wanting to, she had become an important figure and if only Steve knew, he wouldn't be making jokes like this.

Not only that, but I started to walk away before his voice interrupted me again. "She feels the same about you, you know," Steve's voice raised as he tried to make himself clear. "So what, you can read minds now?," I asked confused, but he shook his head.

Something inside me made me wanted to stay, wanted to help. Even if I was no use. I had to, for Wanda.
.
Steve looked at me, knowing I wanted to say something. Seeing my determined expression, he smiled and replied, "Alright, go back to the hotel, and I'll come find you later with backup." I grinned and ran back to the hotel in excitement. "Thank you so much!" I called out as I dashed away.

Time passed and it felt like hours. I got irritated by the sound of the woodpecker. Knowing Wanda still hadn't returned, my anxiety grew. Finally, I saw Steve walking towards the hotel from the window, and he wasn't alone. "He actually brought back up," I mumbled to my self.

As I opened the hotel door, Steve entered with two other Avengers. A ginger-haired woman approached me and extended her hand, introducing herself as Natasha. "You must be yn," she said with a serious but small smile. She seemed strong and very pretty, like Wanda in many ways.

As I shook her hand, she noticed my anxiety. "Are you feeling alright?," Natasha asked as she sat down, watching my every move as she did so.

"I'm fine. Just worried," I mumbled.

Natasha nodded. "I can promise you that we will do everything to find her." Her confident look on her face gave me some comfort.

I was about to smile at Natasha, but then a teenage boy caught my attention by kicking some statues Wanda had made. "Hey, those belong to Wanda, you stupid,". The boy turned his attention to me and began to speak nervously. "I'm sorry. I am Peter Pa- Parker," he fumbled over his words

Natasha smirked. Whispering to Steve, "She's a feisty one, I can tell why Wanda would like her," she teased and looked back at me, her smirk still remaining as she did so. I glanced at Steve, hoping he had a plan.

We all sat down on the couch and he cleared his throat. "We've already searched around without success," he said sternly.

He looked at Natasha as he continued, "We need to plan our next move. Maybe we should call it a mission?" Steve seemed uncertain about his suggestion, whispering quietly.

Natasha stood up and said, "a secret one," she added before heading for the door.

Realizing what Natasha meant, I looked questioningly at Steve. He nodded in agreement. "Leaving the city is the best starting point for our search," he stated.

As soon as he finished speaking, I wasn't sure if I should go. But deep down, I knew I had to. As I sat there I could hear Natasha talk to Steve. "Are you sure we should let her join? She's pretty young,". She said while leaning against the door outside.

Steve took a glance at me before he replied, "we'll just have to keep a close eye on her,".

That night, I sat in my room. Thinking about my decision whether to go or not. I knew school was ending soon since summer break was coming up, so I wouldn't miss a lot. Besides, I didn't have a mom to fuzz over me. Nor a parent in general, actually. If I just texted Lucas, I'd stay with Amelia, I was safe.

It didn't come without a risk, that was for sure. But thinking about Wanda, I knew she was worth every risk. So with that being said, I found myself packing my bag without realizing it
