As I slowly came to consciousness, I was immediately hit with a strong wave of pain on my face. The pain was intense, sharp, and felt relentless, as if every nerve ending in my face was on fire. I let out a small gasp as I tried to take in my surroundings.

The machines continued to beep and hum around me, and the sound of doors opening and closing sounded in my ears. People were walking and talking, their voices blending together in a low murmur. My head felt heavy and fuzzy, as if I was struggling to fully regain my senses.

Lucas leaned forward in the chair next to the bed where I lay, his voice gentle as he addressed me.
"Hey," he said.
I turned my head toward Lucas and asked, my voice still groggy, "Where am I?"
Lucas let out a weary sigh before answering simply, "Hospital."

My gaze traveled down to my arm, where a small needle had been inserted. I tried to shift my weight only to feel a dull pain in the muscle on my upper arm. Confused, I looked a little closer, seeing that it had been wrapped in a bandage. As I focused on the area, memories of what had happened began to surface, piece by piece, from the previous day.

I could feel the panic welling up inside me as I demanded to know where Wanda was. Lucas tried to calm me down, but I was inconsolable.
"Where's Wanda?!" I repeated, my voice shaking with desperation.

Lucas's expression turned serious as he tried to speak to me.
"You need to calm down," he pleaded.
But I wouldn't settle for anything but an answer. "Where is Wanda?" I demanded again.
Lucas sighed, knowing that he couldn't keep it from me any longer. He handed me his phone, showing me a video."someone streamed it live, the whole world saw it,"

The video started to play, revealing the scene before my eyes. The sight of Anne, Toby or actually my so-called dad and Lucas together sent chills down my spine.

Toby's face was covered with shock and fear, as if he had just realized the gravity of the situation. His hand was red with blood, matching the stain on the wall behind him. Suddenly, it was apparent that Toby had been thrown against the wall before the live was streaming.

As I watched the video, my eyes fixated on Wanda. Her presence captured my attention, and I could feel my heart racing.
"Wanda," I muttered softly, unable to tear my gaze away from the screen.

She approached my dad in the video, her expression firm and determined. She knelt down beside me, and as she bared her teeth at my father, it was as if time stood still for a brief moment. Then, with a swift and powerful punch, she struck his face. The impact was intense, and I could almost feel the shock of it resonate through my own body.

Wanda's voice rose in a roar, her eyes glowing with an intense red anger.
"What have you done!?," she exclaimed, struggling to hold back her tears.
"You...you are a terrible parent," she continued, her words cutting like a knife. "You have no right to be a part of her life,"
Wanda clenched her fists, the hurt and anger seething just beneath the surface of her words.

The air was instantly filled with the blaring sounds of sirens as Wanda stood frozen in shock. She looked reluctant to leave my side, but her attention was soon directed by Lucas, who touched her arm to get her focus.

Lucas spoke up, reassuring her that he would take care of me, promising to ensure my safety. Wanda protested, distressed at the thought of leaving me behind in the state I was in. "No, no, I can't" she sobbed, unwilling to part from me. It was clear she couldn't leave her girl behind.

Lucas gently reassured her, assuring her that he would do his best to protect me and keep me safe. After some persuasion, Wanda reluctantly kissed my hand and left. It was clear she didn't want to, but she didn't have a choice.
