"Come on, Jeongin, just one date!" Inseong begged as he kept on following Jeongin outside of Jeongin's apartment.

Jeongin sighed. Inseong was his fellow co-worker from the campus. They were both teachers at the Dongjin university.

Right now, Inseong was persistent on asking Jeongin out even though the latter already refused so many times.

For some reason, Inseong had followed Jeongin back to Jeongin's apartment ( a bit creepy and gives stalker energy but Inseong doesn't care).

'Wait 'till he realizes.' Jeongin thought to himself, a bit annoyed as he paced down the apartment halls.

"Please, Jeongin. I promise you won't regret it."

In all honesty, Jeongin felt bad for the older, but Jeongin already tried telling him that he didn't want to go on the date.

They were standing in front of Jeongin's apartment, and when Jeongin was about unlock the door, Inseong held back his hand.

"Inseong, I can't and don't want to, I have a hu-"

"Please, I really like you Jeongin a-and I know that I'm not the most perfect person but I'll try to-"

Before Inseong could finish his sentence, the apartment door opened, revealing a pissed man, his black hair tied in a loose ponytail.

The man glared at Inseong, daring for the other to continue.

"I'm sorry," Hyunjin's dark voice broke the thick tension, with Jeongin looking over to Hyunjin then to Inseong. "I couldn't help but overhear, you were trying to ask him out, but I don't think Jeongin would want that, man."

Inseong glared coldly at Hyunjin and scoffed.

"Who are you to tell Jeongin what to do?"

Hyunjin's scowl broke into a grin as he snaked an arm over Jeongin's petite waist and held him posessively.

"Well, maybe it's because..... I'm his fucking husband you dumass." Hyunjin said, showing the shiny silver band on his ring finger as Jeongin's cheeks turned the slightest shade of pink.

Inseong's face fell for a moment before his determination kicked back in. He straightened his posture and jabbed a finger at Hyunjin's chest, ignoring the smirk on the other man's face.

"Husband? Yeah, right! If you were really married, Jeongin would've told me! Isn't that right, Jeongin?" Inseong turned to Jeongin, his eyes pleading, though there was a slight edge of desperation in his voice.

Jeongin sighed heavily, running a hand through his hair. "Inseong, I did tell you I wasn't interested. Multiple times."

"But you never said you were married!" Inseong shot back, crossing his arms like a child refusing to admit they'd lost.

He turned his glare back to Hyunjin. "And you-if you're really his husband, why don't you act like it more? I never see you around campus. For all I know, you're just some guy pretending to-"

Hyunjin let out a low chuckle, cutting him off. "Pretending? That's cute. You think I need to pretend? Trust me, I've been by Jeongin's side every step of the way. I just don't need to hover around him 24/7 like some desperate wannabe." His grin widened as he tightened his grip on Jeongin's waist, pulling him closer.

"Inseong, please." Jeongin groaned, his cheeks growing hotter. "You're embarrassing yourself."

"I'm embarrassing myself?" Inseong repeated, his voice rising. "How is it embarrassing to want to treat you better than this guy who doesn't even-"

"Inseong, stop," Jeongin interrupted firmly, his eyes narrowing. "This is exactly why I said no. You're overstepping, and it's not okay."

Inseong looked taken aback, but he quickly recovered, his expression twisting into one of frustration. "I'm overstepping? I'm just showing you that I care! I bet he doesn't even-"

"Inseong," Hyunjin cut in, his tone deceptively calm. "I'd be careful if I were you. You're walking a very thin line right now." His dark eyes bore into Inseong's, the grin on his face now completely gone.

"What are you going to do, huh?" Inseong spat, though his voice faltered slightly. "You can't-"

"I won't have to do anything," Hyunjin said smoothly. "Because Jeongin's already made his choice. And it's not you. So why don't you save yourself the humiliation and walk away now?"

For a moment, the hallway was silent except for the faint hum of the apartment's fluorescent lights. Inseong opened his mouth to argue again but then closed it, his face flushed with a mixture of anger and embarrassment.

"This isn't over," he muttered, pointing a finger at Hyunjin before stomping down the hall.

Hyunjin watched him go with a satisfied smirk before turning to Jeongin, his expression softening. "You okay?"

Jeongin sighed again, rubbing his temple. "I will be, once he finally leaves me alone. You didn't have to scare him like that, though."

Hyunjin raised an eyebrow. "Didn't I? Because I was about five seconds away from dragging him out myself."

Jeongin couldn't help but laugh at that, shaking his head. "Thanks for having my back. But maybe next time, let me handle it?"

"Deal," Hyunjin said with a grin, leaning in to press a quick kiss to Jeongin's forehead. "But only if you promise to let me enjoy the show when you shut someone like him down."

Jeongin rolled his eyes but smiled as they stepped into their apartment, leaving the lingering awkwardness of the hallway behind them.

Inside the apartment, Hyunjin moved his position to Jeongin's back so he was back hugging the younger, planting his nose in the crook of Jeongin's neck, inhaling the soothing scent of his husband.

Jeongin gave a gentle sigh, stroking Hyunjin's hair.
"Okay, okay, let me go now, you should shower, you kinda stink." Jeongin said as he patted Hyunjin's back before trying to escape Hyunjin's grasp.

"Together?"

"No, Hyunjin, just go take a bath-"

"With you?"

Jeongin rolled his eyes playfully once more, pushing Hyunjin away who was getting a bit 'touchy touchy' with him.

"Please?" Hyunjin pouted at his husband.

"Sure, sure, I go in there and I'm gonna get out with a sore body." Jeongin replied, swatting away Hyunjin's naughty hands.

Hyunjin shrugged before effortlessly lifting up Jeongin, despite his protests, and began walking towards the bathroom.

"HWANG HYUNJIN!!"
