Jaida's pov:
I sat with mine and Lando's daughter Ruby on my lap as we watched the Spanish Grand prix.
Ruby is 5 and her favourite thing to do is watch her dad race.
We named Ruby after my mum, it was actually Lando who suggested it.
4 years ago Lando proposed to me and 3 years ago we got married. I remember walking down the aisle and seeing an empty seat, i then saw it had a memorial picture of my mum on there with flowers and from that moment on i kept randomly crying, it ended up making both me and Lando laugh by the end of the night.
"Mummy! Daddy's winning!" Ruby said with excitement making me smile,
"yes he is!" i replied as we watched Lando lead on the second to last lap.
Ruby was there with me for Lando's very first win in Miami. After they had sprayed champagne everywhere he called her out onto the podium and it's been a tradition ever since.
"Looks like your on the podium" I said to Ruby making her giggle,
"yay!" she replied.
Once Lando crossed the finish line me and Ruby both started cheering.
"Come on then Rubes" i said before picking her up and walking over to where all the McLaren staff were going as Lando had just won
"Come on Jaida" Zak said as he gestured for me to go at the front,
"i know he'll wanna see you two first" he said with a laugh making me giggle.
About 5 minutes later Lando ran over and hugged me and Ruby instantly.
"Well done Lan we're proud of you" i said before he pecked my lips and picked up Ruby taking her the other side of the barrier.
"well done Daddy!" Ruby said making my heart warm,
"thank you my little gem" he replied before Charles and Carlos walked over as they had also gotten on the podium.
"Uncle Charles! Uncle Carlos!" Ruby said,
"hey Ruby will you be joining us on the podium?" Charles asked,
"Yes yes!" Ruby replied making me giggle.
"Alright Rube you stay with mummy until she leads you to the podium okay" Lando said as she nodded.
He kissed her cheek before handing her back and giving me another kiss.
Once it was time for the podium i took Ruby up the side and waited for the champagne to be done with.
Once it was, Charles came over and picked her up taking her to the podium.
I watched as he passed her to Lando. Ruby always loved going up on the podium and the fans always loved seeing her up there.
I watched in awe as i began thinking.
Everything had fallen into place, just like my mum had said. Lando had kept his promise to her about always being there for me, and i had kept my promise to her about never letting him go....
"Let's go Lando Lando is okay!" Ruby started chanting from the back of the car making me put my head in my hands as Lando laughed.
"Jaida, i'm not leaving this carpark until Let's go Lando gets played"
"Shut up and drive"
