Chapter 15

Jaida's pov:

i stood there with my eyes glued on the tv as i watched in hope that Lando is okay,

his car was upside down and other drivers had stopped to help,

i instantly grabbed my phone and rang Carmen,

Carmen: Jaida-
Jaida: Carmen please tell me he's okay
Carmen: i don't know Jaid, they've got him out and into the ambulance, Max and Ria are going to the hospital with him so maybe give one of them a call
Jaida: okay Carm thanks
Carmen: it's okay, before you go, are you okay? i'm sorry about what George said
Jaida: no it's okay, i'm gonna call Ria i'll talk to you later
Carmen: okay let me know how he is
Jaida: will do bye
Carmen: see you later
*call has ended*

once i got off the phone i frantically called Ria,

my hands were shaking as the phone rang and rang,

she didn't answer so i took a seat and waited a bit before calling again,

Ria: hey Jaida hes okay just a bit whiplashed and achey
Jaida: thank god, i saw the crash, it looked awful
Ria: you watched the race?
Jaida: yeah of course i did, George is still my best friend and Lando is- well yeah
Ria: Lando's asking to talk to you
Jaida: no i just called to make sure he's okay
Ria: okay, but just know he knows he messed up
Jaida: mhm, i'll talk to you later Ria
Ria: yeah speak soon bye
*call has ended*

~•5 days later•~

i was sat on my sofa watching tv when there was a knock at the door,

"two seconds" i shouted before walking over and opening the door revealing Lando making my eyes go wide in shock,

"what are you doing here?" i asked as he stood there looking at me, he looked tired,
"i need to talk to you jj and since you won't answer my calls i decided to come see you in person" he replied,
"there's nothing to talk about, we clearly weren't on the same page" i said,
"your not really innocent here, i went to find you after finding out you were upset and i saw you with a guy" he replied making me scoff,

"and there it is" i said as he looked at me confused,
"what?" he asked,
"you saw me sat with a guy who's not even straight by the way and that instantly made you
think that you should go and sleep with some model?" i replied as he looked at me surprised,
"he's not straight?" he asked,
"no! he said to me to tell you that he's after you not your girl- well he told me to say that before i was met with some girl in your shirt" i replied making him frown and look down,

"jj i know i messed up, seeing you with him made me feel a type of jealousy i've never felt before and that scares me, it was a mistake Jaida, please don't let that ruin something good" he said stepping forward and resting his forehead on mine making me take a deep breath,

"too late, trust has already been compromised" i replied as he sighed and looked at me,
"damn it Jaida i'm falling for you" he said catching me off guard,
"i'm falling for you and it scares me" he added,
"see now i feel like your just telling me what i want to hear, because if you were falling for me you wouldn't have slept with some bimbo." i replied,
"jaida" he was saying,
"i think we should forget the kisses and everything that happened and just go back to being friends" i said interrupting him making him sigh,

he thought for a second before replying,

"if that's what you want then that's what we'll do" he replied as i nodded,

we stood there in silence for a few seconds looking at each other until he broke the silence,

"wanna come for a drive?" he asked as i thought about it for a second before nodding,
"yeah okay" i replied before throwing an oversized hoodie on and grabbing my front door keys before walking out,

i followed him down to his McLaren making my eyes go wide,

"you alright?" he asked with a giggle as i nodded,
"i don't know why i was expecting a corsa or something" i replied making him laugh as we climbed into his car,

"you want aux?" he asked as i looked at him,
"your offering aux?" i replied as he nodded,
"trying to get back in your good books" he said making me giggle,
"gonna need more than aux for that" i replied as i connected my phone,

"you know what's still weird to me? the fact we have only just found out you existed" he said making me shrug,
"like, you've been best friends your whole life and that was the first race you went to?" he added as i looked at him,
"shut up and drive" i replied making him giggle before backing out of the parking space,

"where are we going?" i asked as he drove,
"to a motorway" he replied making me giggle as i knew exactly what he wanted to do,

once we reached the motorway he did exactly what i thought he was gonna do, he floored it so we were going way over the speed limit,

"NO ONE EVER LOOKED SO GOOD IN A DRESS AND IT HURTS CUZ I KNOW YOU WONT BE MINE TONIGHTTTT" i sung along to One direction making him look at me with an amused face,

we then reached a random car park with a view of a lake,

"are you okay after the crash? it looked pretty bad" i randomly said as i thought about the crash and he nodded,
"I'm fine, wait you watched the race?" he replied as i nodded,
"i may have been upset with both you and George but i still wanted to support you guys" i said as a small smile crept its way onto his face,

"are you coming to Belgium?" he asked as i shrugged,
"uh i don't know" i replied,
"come on jj" he said as i looked up into his eyes,
"I'll think about it, i might just rejoin when Max and Ria do" i replied as he nodded,

"i'm sorry jj, i really am" he said as i shook my head,
"it's okay Lando" i replied,
"i think i prefer Landinho" he said making me giggle,
"your not quite out the bad books yet" i replied making him smirk,
"fair enough" he said as he surrendered making me laugh,

i sat there singing along to the music as he watched me with a smile on his face,

we sat there talking like we did before everything happened,

whenever i looked into his eyes i saw a sparkle making me fall for him even more,

i have to keep reminding myself that we said we'd just be friends, even if a part of me wanted more.

Lando's pov:

"go back to being just friends",

those words repeated themselves in my head over and over again,
i knew i had to agree because i'd rather keep her as a friend then lose her completely,

i know i am going to get her back if its the last thing i do.
