Chapter 24

Jaida's pov:

I parked in my mums driveway before unbuckling my seatbelt and climbing out the car.

"here goes nothing" i said before Lando intertwined our hands as he could sense my nerves.

We walked up to the door before i rang the doorbell.

The door then opened revealing my mum making me smile.

"Hey mum" i said,
"hello sweet come in" she replied before i walked in and hugged her.

"Nice to see you again Lando" she said to him as she pulled him in for a hug,
"you too" he replied.

"RUBY!" i heard my mum's boyfriend shout making me roll my eyes,
"the fuck does he want now" i asked.
"Jaida play nice" my mum replied making me roll my eyes,
"not with him" i said before we walked into the living room.

"What's up" my mum asked him,
"Can you make some tea, or Jaida can since she's here" he replied,
"or you could use those things called arms and legs and do it yourself! Milk and one sugar thanks" i said making him death stare me.

"So who's this temporary placeholder while you realise you'll never get anyone better than Frankie" he asked making me roll my eyes,
"if you love Frankie so much why don't you date him" i replied,
"still didn't answer my question" he said,
"This is my boyfriend Lando he drives in F1 and he treats me better then that freak Frankie ever did. Is that enough for you or do you want his shoe size as well?" i replied,
"Im not a fan of your tone" he said,
"i'm not a fan of your presence but here we are" i replied.

"Well your in my house so-" he was saying,
"no. I'm in my mums house. You don't do anything towards this house so don't you dare call it yours" i interrupted.

"Jaida enough. And you Gary" My mum said as Lando intertwined our hands as he could see my hands shaking from anger.

My mum then started talking to Lando about F1 as Gary just death stared me the whole time.

"her dads gonna love you" Mum said to Lando,
"he already does" i replied making her smile,
"oh when did you meet him?" she asked,
"he came into the salon before we came here" Lando replied as she nodded.

"Enough about him. Don't wanna hear it" Gary said making me roll my eyes as the rage began
to build up again.

"I think it's best we leave. If you need anything let me know" i said before we said our goodbyes and headed out.

"see what i mean about him?" i said to Lando as we climbed into my car, he drove as i was still shaking with anger from the encounter i just had with my mums boyfriend.
"jj calm down your shaking like a leaf" he replied as he placed a hand on my thigh and began driving.

"right i'm gonna be real, i have no idea where I'm driving" he said making me giggle before giving him directions back to my apartment.

Once we arrived he parked the car and followed me up to my apartment.

"What's on that pretty mind of yours?" he asked,
"huh?" i replied,
"your quiet and you look like your deep in thought" he said,
"it's nothing" i replied as he walked over and placed his hands on my hips as i wrapped my arms round his neck pulling him in for a hug.

"Are you sure it's nothing?" he asked as i pulled away slightly so i could look at him,
"it's just bothering me that he called you a temporary placeholder" i replied as i played with one of his curls.
