Chapter 27

Jaida's pov:

It's Christmas day and i'm at my Nana's house. Lando is currently in Bristol spending Christmas with his family.

Christmas is the one day of the year that my mum, dad, Gigi and Gary are all in one room at the same time.

My dad and Gary just ignore each other's existence like me and Gigi do.

I sat with my favourite cousin Phoebe. Me and Phoebe always got along as we're the same age so we basically grew up together.

So because i don't like Gigi, she also hates Gigi.

"So Jaida how's travelling going?" My Nana asked,
"it's good. I ditched my original plans and ended up joining George on the f1 tour" i replied,
"just George?" my dad said making me giggle,
"Have you not told your nana about your boyfriend?" My mum added making me go red,
"you've got a boyfriend?" Nana asked as i nodded,
"yeah. His names Lando" i replied making her smile,
"well come on show me a photograph" she said making me laugh.

I showed her a picture making me smile,
"what a handsome young man" she said making me giggle.

"What about you Gigi?" My my uncle asked,
"she's probably waiting to pounce on Lando"Phoebe replied making a laugh escape my lips as everyone else looked at us.

"Phoebe" My Aunt said making me and Phoebe giggle.

"Jaida" My mum said as i walked into the kitchen to grab a drink,
"what's up?" i asked,
"i thought the drama between you and Gigi was squashed" she said making me sigh,
"mum the stuff she's done to me can't just be forgotten. I agreed to stay civil that's it but if Phoebe makes a joke i'm gonna laugh" i replied making her sigh before nodding.

"Hey also i have something for you" she said,
"mum you've already got me so much-" i replied as she gave me a little box.

I opened it to see a beautiful white wedding hair clip with a matching bracelet.

"Mum it's beautiful but i'm not exactly getting married anytime soon" i said,
"i know, but i wanted to give it to you personally and i won't be around when you and Lando eventually get married" she replied as i pulled her in for a hug.

"I love it thank you" i said before my dad walked into the kitchen,
"you two alright?" he asked as we nodded,
"yeah" we both replied as he nodded and grabbed a drink.

"What have you got there?" he asked as he peaked over my mums shoulder to see what was in my hand,
"you ain't getting married yet are you?" he asked making me laugh and shake my head,
"he'd ask you first and you know it" i replied making him nod with a smug look,
"yeah, this is your first boyfriend i've liked" he said making us laugh.

"he's one of the good ones. Don't let him go" My mum said,
"i don't plan to trust me" i replied,
"alright come on let's go back and join the crowd" my dad said as i nodded and began to walk with him,

"i'll be two seconds" my mum replied as we nodded,
"Jaida" she said making me look at her,
"i love you" she added making me look at her confused with a smile,
"i love you too mum" i replied making her smile before i walked back into the living room with my dad.

"Phoebe have you seen that-" i was saying,
"RUBY?!" My aunt yelled catching all of our attentions before we all ran out to the kitchen to see her passed out on the floor.
