Aria

Chapter 10

-Aria-

I lean back on the couch softly and look at him timidly. Matteo opens the first aid kit before reaching for my sleeve. He looked up at me and although I wanted to pull my arm back, I knew he wouldn't do anything to hurt me. So I nod to give my permission. He pulls the sleeve back and releases my arm instantly. He must have seen the scattered markings, tiny scars lining all along my arm, fortunately, the majority of them are pale and aren't prominently visible. The same is on my left but I pull back that arm when he reaches for it. I hiss slightly when my shoulder is stretched and Matteo lifts out a bottle of some liquid.

I don't mention the fact my shoulder is hurting and watch as he continues to look through the kit. From all he knows, it's just my right knee and arm. He fully pushes back the sleeve and I see a pretty nasty opening. I must have hit the ground hard because there seems to be some bruising around it as well.

Matteo quickly grabs some cotton pads and soaks them with the liquid.

"This will burn a bit," Matteo says placing the pad on my elbow. I let out a hiss and squeeze my left hand tight, biting down on my lip. Matteo places my left hand on his shoulder shortly after.

I guess he wants me to hold him if it burns. I knew I had to find a different way since I'd already troubled him so much.

After cleaning my elbow and arm he applied some antiseptic cream. Bandaging it when he finished. He then moved to my knee pulling the sweats up to see the injury.

Ooo this one was deep.

I take a deep breath when I see Matteo reach for the cotton pad to apply it to the knee.

"I'll be gentle," he tried to say softly in his gruff voice.

I nod and hold my breath as Matteo placed it on me. I don't let it go until he's finished cleaning it. I take a deep breath and exhale before Matteo applied the cream with bandages.

After finishing he hesitates before lifting his hand and feeling my forehead.

"I-I feel much better now, thank you," I say lightly,"I- It must be the heat that caused me to feel a bit woozy," I let out a small laugh getting up from my spot slowly.

He gently pushes me back and goes to the kitchen. Coming back with two plates of sandwiches.

I don't think I can eat anything right now.

He sets the plates down in front of me and sits opposite of my couch. I look down at the sandwiches and up at him. I see him waiting for me to pick mine up. After I take a bite he reaches for his and starts to eat.

 A few moments later Leo comes in with his plate and sits beside me. When Matteo finishes his food he gets up to bring it to the kitchen.

I take 3 more bites and I'm full, there is no way I could finish this.

I push the plate forward and stand up. Leo grabs my arm and pulls me down, "you know you're gonna have to finish that?"

How can I convince him to let me off the hook?

"I'm feeling pretty full. I- I also ate the popsicle the boys got me and had a full breakfast."

Leo looks at me in suspicion for a few seconds and sighs, "you need to start eating more, but since I'm your most amazingest brother ever, I'll let you go," he smirks and ruffles my hair.

When he picks up the dishes and leaves I walk slowly upstairs to my bathroom. After locking the door I pull off my hoodie and look at my shoulder. The bleeding stopped from earlier but I have to bandage it.

I should probably just shower now. I remove all my clothes and lightly walk to the shower. Turning on the warm water, I head in. As I lather the soap on my body I try to avoid the areas that were hurt.
