Chapter 10; Thornclaw

Thornclaw couldn't believe it. First, he drove away his crush, then his friend, his dad died, he didn't become deputy, Thrushwing hates him, his apprentice is a wimp, and now he is being told he doesn't know how to train an apprentice? Oh yeah, and his cousin betrayed him. Oakpelt knew that Thornclaw liked Thrushwing! Until he was 3 moons old, he admired Thrushwing. Then, she went easy on him and he won a battle against her, and he became an arrogant jerk. Guess now he is back to his old arrogant self again. He let out a sigh. All he could do was accept defeat. He walked to the warriors den and sank into his nest. His eyes closed, but instead of darkness, light surrounded him. He was in a starry forest. Starclan! He thought. Soon, two familiar pelts appeared. "J-jaggedtooth? M-moonshine?" Thornclaw gasped, gaping at his parents.

Jaggedtooth purred, amused. "Yes, it's us. You need to let go your bitterness. Thrushwing doesn't hate you yet, but she will let go of her feelings for you if you don't become nicer. And yes, she does have a crush on you." Jaggedtooth answered his son's unasked question. Thornclaw nodded.

"I will, I will prove I can, for you guys, and for Thrushwing." Thornclaw promised. Moonshine smiled.

"We love you," she whispered. Everything started to fade around Thornclaw.

Thornclaw opened his eyes, just when Thrushwing lead the apprentices and Oakpelt back into camp. He stood up and hurried over.
