Third Person POV

With a loud gasp, Rody wakes up in a cold sweat..
'What the hell just happened!? WHAT WAS THAT!?' — He rubs his hands on his face as a way to hopefully erase his sleepiness and horror from his body, perhaps if he had that ability he wouldn't be in this state... The man just sighed before sitting up and pinching the bridge of his nose, what was the point of him getting up? He just got fired from his last job, his girlfriend thinks he is long gone, there is a potential murderer on his tail, and to top it all off he is running out of money! What a prosperous life!

That's when he remembered, the restaurant he stopped by the other day had a sign that read 'Hiring Waiters!'. Rody thought to himself before coming to an agreement that he could just work there until he got his life together, I mean what could possibly go wrong, right?

.

Rody is all dressed and decides to take a walk around the city, perhaps it could relieve in some way and he may be able to find the bistro once more. As he walks around he can't help but observe the setting around him; bustling streets, constant chatter, the familiar sounds of bells chiming every time a shop door opens, the sound of soft jazz playing through restaurants and cafes, and the light reflecting off of display windows. The ex-waiter can't help but feel a bit at ease and slowly relaxes his tense body, maybe today would be a good day!

As the sun starts to set behind the horizon, Rody decides to make one more stop...
He finds himself at the bar where the cook from the prior day suggested to check out, it wasn't that bad honestly; the place was clean, the bar was run by two women, people seemed to have just gotten off work, and was just celebrating, a faint clatter could be heard from the pool table, and overall it seemed like there was some kind of effort in maintaining the business.

.

Vincent had just closed up the bistro and walked up to the entrance of a local bar to unwind himself from the stressful day, as he swung the door open he found himself looking at a familiar man. He couldn't help but smile softly before walking quietly up to the unsuspecting man; he placed a hand on his shoulder,
...

"Hey man can you no-" —Rody was cut off as he looked at the other man, his eyes widened in terror as his vision revealed the familiar face from his nightmare.. The chef's face tilts slightly down, casting a shadow over the top of it, only leaving cat-like eyes glaring back at the ex-waiter.

"Did you miss me, Lamoree..?"

Rody stared in absolute disbelief at the man looking back at him, "Why don't I offer you a drink?" — Vincent smiled before ordering a beer and glass of wine before turning his gaze back to the other man. "What do you want from me..?"
"I simply want to have a drink with you, that's it, I have no bad intentions..."— Rody felt shivers run down his back as the pale man walked past him, he was really in for it now...
The raven-haired man takes a seat next to the ex-waiter, who in response tries to scoot his chair a little further away. Breaking the silence the bartender slid both men their drinks, so Rody took the great opportunity and directed his attention to something besides the man sitting right next to him. Vincent takes a sip from his wine, "How has it been since we last met, hm?"
"It was going well until you showed up..."
"What a shame that the two of us met once more."
"Yeah yeah.."
The two go silent as the tension rises, but the brown-haired man can't help but feel the other's eerie gaze on him...

.

A few minutes pass and Rody finally turns to face the other man, only to be met by the renowned chef completely in a daze as he looks at his unfinished wine glass.
'He's probably drunk. . ." — An idea sparks up in Rody's mind, maybe he could use this as a chance to get away, he quickly tries to get up but looks at the exit and then back at the drunk man. He couldn't just leave him there, even if that is what he deserved, that would be a total dick move! An audible sigh could be heard as Rody walked back to the drunk man, picked him up, paid the tab, and walked out the door before heading down the street.
The man in his arms lets out a soft whine as he feels a wave of nausea hit him, Rody quickly rushes back to his apartment complex.
He stumbles with the keys in his hands but eventually opens the front door before dashing to the restroom and placing Vincent's head over the toilet, where he immediately starts to vomit. 'Gross..'
After a few more rounds, Vince wipes his mouth and leans back against Rody; much to the other's dismay but he would just have to deal with it. "Fuck my head..." — He groans and squeezes the bridge of his nose between two of his fingers, "You need to rest, I'll let you stay over under one condition, do not attempt to pull anything..."
"I already told you once I didn't come with any ill intentions, do I need to spell it out...?"
"No..."— Rody picked up the raven-haired man before laying him gently on the couch, and within a minute the man was knocked out. Rody couldn't help but feel a little bit in awe, seeing the way the other man's hair fell over his face, the way he breathed softly the way his state was just so calming... The ex-waiter stopped himself, this is the same man who just ruined his life, he shouldn't be thinking like this! Rody was supposed to despise this man but he couldn't help but run his fingers through the other's dark hair, he found the whole atmosphere peaceful and comforting. As the night prolonged, Rody too fell asleep...

.

On the other side of the city stood Manon, her eyes were dull and her overall presence was fruitless, she felt guilt taking over her, crumbling her down piece by piece... She didn't mean to do that, she had no choice, oh how she wished that life could be fair...
"Why do bad things happen to good people? WHY!?" — Tears started to stream down her face as she looked at the small memorial she had set for Rody, Rody Lamoree, the love of her life. Manon falls to her knees and sobs, that damn Vincent..! He took everything away from her, she was going to find him, one way or another.. He better hope that she would have a subtle hint of mercy. . .

Also short but like I said before, these chapters build up and the closer we get to the plot the more I can explain how everything is going.
