She kept humming a melody she had heard a few days earlier while strolling through the city.

A man with a long black beard had played the most enchanting melody on his saxophone, and it had lingered in Vivianne's mind. She closed her eyes and meandered around her new living room, moving to the rhythm of the song.

"Sorry!" Vivianne quickly apologised when bumping into someone.

She swiftly placed her hand on the person's arm, offering both comfort and an apology.

"Vivi, did you genuinely just apologise to a chair?"

To describe Vivianne Carter would take a lot more than just words. You couldn't grasp her essence merely through commonplace adjectives you encounter in your everyday surroundings. That wouldn't suffice. You'd have to know her, perhaps for years, and even then, there's a chance it still wouldn't be enough.

She possesses kindness, compassion, and creativity. Despite enduring challenging times due to her father's temper, she deeply loves her family. In her perspective, her father's frequent anger, often directed at her, weighs heavily on their household, although everyone bears witness to his outbursts.

Vivianne turned around to see his older brother facing him.

"I mean really, how timid can you be?" The older brother asked, raising his eyebrows.

"I didn't realise I bumped into a chair!" Vivianne pointed at the chair with her hand in defence.

"Yeah, that's what worries me."

"Get lost, Henry!" Vivi raised her voice.

"I don't know if I can. Wouldn't want to hurt the chair's feelings."

Vivianne rolled her eyes and walked out of the living room in annoyance.

Her brother had a knack for finding ways to tease her, dating back to when she was born and he was just two years old. He'd spin tales about babies hatching from unicorn eggs or ghosts tugging at her legs if she didn't share the last bite. Despite these antics, they shared their fair share of meaningful moments.

Henry, exceptionally bright, almost a prodigy, stood in stark contrast to Vivi's intelligence. Though she was intelligent herself, she keenly felt the distinction between her brother's brilliance and her own.

"Did you see your new room yet?" Vivianne's mother asked her when she walked past.

"No mother, I'm headed there."

"Well it's upstairs, second door to the right."

"Thank you mother!"

"I'll be there very soon, I want to see what you think." Jocelyn said smiling from ear to ear.

Vivianne smiled in response. She was just as excited about the new house as her mother.

Jocelyn is a kind and ambitious woman, a source of great inspiration for Vivianne. Whatever Jocelyn sets her mind to, she pursues it without hesitation or encountering significant obstacles. If challenges arise, she tackles them head-on with determination and resolve.

Vivianne holds a deep fondness for her mother, largely because her mother reciprocates that affection. She loves both of her children unconditionally, providing them with abundant love and care.
