Satoru didn't want to have children, not really

Satoru didn't want to have children, not really. He was always a more egoistic man, after all, caring about others to some extent but never being able to give his heart to anyone. Well, almost. Yuuji is one of the exceptions. Yet the man didn't plan to actually have his own offsprings. He doesn't need to have children. It's not something he desires.

But then why does the thought of having a baby with Yuuji make him so proud and glad? He can see it already. The perfect combination of both of them, an undeniable living proof of their love and devotion, something that will always stay with them, surrounded by their care.

He looks deep into Yuu-chan's warm, teary eyes, then gazes at his expression full of affection, happiness, and delight, searching for even an ounce of fear or uneasiness, and finds none, so he smiles tenderly. Of course, his wife reacts this way. That's so like him.

And it hits Satoru right then, so he feels immense relief.

All the symptoms were just a result of pregnancy. Which means that Yuuji is not sick or dying. He is not going to leave him. Satoru won't lose him.

No.

His wife is going to bring their child into this world instead.

Oh gods, the man loves him so, so much.

Then, something shifts on the boy's face—a sudden worry crippling there—so Satoru frowns, concerned.

“Toru?” Yuu-chan asks hesitantly in a small, small voice. “Are you… not happy?” He whispers, tears gathering in his eyes again, his expression unsure while he rubs anxiously on his abdomen.

And, oh shit, Satoru took too long to react. How reckless of him! He opens his mouth to say something, but nothing comes out. The man is at a loss for words. Because how is he supposed to say anything when his mind is a mess right now?

He is not sure if he loves their baby yet, he needs more time to process and feel it. But he loves his wife. He loves Yuuji the most. And sharing him with a child sounds tough, but it also means that they are going to be a family, a family he always wished to have deep inside. And he didn't even know he was aching for it until now.

And then, Yuu-chan. Pregnant with his child. No, their child. His wife is so perfect, so incredible, and so strong. Satoru loves him, he loves him so much that he feels like exploding with affection at the news.

So, he does exactly that.

Before the boy makes a painful face and pulls away from him, the man catches Yuuji in a kiss. A kiss that is equally desperate and affectionate as it is deep and heated. He tries to fill this kiss with every single word he can't say right now, with every emotion he feels at the moment, hoping, no, praying for his wife to understand it somehow, unable to express himself better.

Yuu-chan seems shocked at the sudden contact, then his body relaxes, sagging in Satoru's arms. The boy caresses the man’s cheek with a fond expression, then closes his eyes to reciprocate the kiss, matching Satoru's pace and eagerness. The tears escape from Yuuji's eyes, making their kiss salty, yet they don't part until his wife produces a small sound, and that's the man’s sign to stop, to not go too far and overwhelm the boy even more.

They just gaze at each other with love, maintaining eye contact, and fighting for breaths. Then Yuu-chan beams at him. “Same, actually.” He says softly and laughs.

The man gapes and joins him after a moment, so they laugh stupidly, having an entire conversation without words yet understanding each other completely.

They are going to be parents. Together. For their baby.

That's one of the dearest moments in his life that Satoru is going to cherish forever.

Or so he thought, because the next thing he knows is that his cheek is stinging, his face turned to the side with the force of slapping.

“Shouko, what the hell?!” He asks incredulously, looking at his friend with betrayal while touching his aching cheek delicately, caught off guard.

For some reason, she also looks at him with wide, shocked eyes. “I didn't expect it would work, Satoru. I don't think I ever touched you before because of your Limitless. Sorry?” The woman offers half-heartedly and then smirks. “I see. So you are full of openings around your dear wife, huh?” She teases, then her smile drops. “That was for impregnating a minor, you idiot. Heal it or something.” Shouko mutters, and then, to Satoru's surprise, she hugs them both. “And that's for acting like a responsible adult after finding out.” The woman pats him on the back. “I don't have doubts that you are going to treat Yuuji and your baby well anymore. Congratulations to both of you.” She says with a small smile, her other hand patting Yuuji.

“Thank you again, Ieiri-sensei.” His wife mumbles giddily.

“I guess you should call me Shouko, Yuuji. We are going to see each other a lot from now on.” She points, pulling away from the group hug with a sigh.

“Why is that, um, Shouko-san?” The boy frowns.

“Yuuji. You are pregnant.” She states with raised eyebrows. “Not only are you a teenager, you are also a male. We are getting into this all blindfolded.” The woman snorts at the pun. “But I will do my best to lead you through it all safely and without issues.” She smiles and ruffles Yuu-chan's hair.

“Oh.” His wife says softly and makes an apologetic expression. “I see. I'm sorry for causing trouble.” He mumbles, hanging his head down.

“Not your fault, Yuuji.” Shouko assures him, looking pointedly at Satoru.

He scowls. “I didn't know either! It was in a spur of the moment!” The man opposes it with a pout.

“You are a disgrace to The Strongest title.” Sukuna scoffs, appearing on Yuuji's cheek. “How could you impregnate your wife without being aware of it remains a mystery for me.” He sighs. “That was something I wished to not witness at all.” Sukuna makes a displeased grimace.
