Later that day, after a long and successful filming session for their YouTube channel, the group returned to their apartment. The late hour found them all exhausted, but instead of heading straight to bed, they decided to unwind with a movie on Netflix.
As the film played, Winter slowly drifted off to sleep, his head coming to rest on Ryan's shoulder. Ryan, caught up in the movie, barely noticed until he felt the gentle weight against him. He glanced down at Winter, a soft smile tugging at his lips.
Wyatt and River exchanged a knowing look, one that didn't go unnoticed by Ryan. "What?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Nothing," Wyatt said with a smirk. "Just noticing how comfortable Winter is with you."
Ryan shrugged, trying to play it off. "We're all friends here."
He gave Ryan a pointed look, a mischievous glint in his eye. "Looks like you've got a new cuddle buddy."
Ryan blushed, trying to brush off the comment. "He's just comfortable with me, that's all," he said, but even he couldn't deny the warmth spreading in his chest.
River smirked, patting Ryan on the shoulder. "Sure, sure. Keep telling yourself that," he teased. "Come on, let's get him to bed."
Ryan opened his mouth to protest, but the words died on his lips as he looked down at Winter again. There was an undeniable connection between them, something that had been growing since Winter moved in. But Ryan wasn't ready to face those feelings just yet.

The next morning, Wyatt and River gathered in the kitchen, conspiring over their plan to nudge Ryan and Winter closer together. "We need to do something," Wyatt said, stirring his coffee thoughtfully. "They're clearly into each other, but neither of them is making a move."
River nodded, a grin spreading across his face. "I've got an idea. What if we set up a little date night for them? Something subtle but romantic."
Wyatt's eyes lit up. "Perfect. We can make dinner, light some candles, and then make ourselves scarce for the evening."
Later that day, as Ryan and Winter were lounging in the living room, Wyatt and River approached them with innocent expressions. "Hey, you two," Wyatt began. "River and I are heading out for a while tonight. We thought you guys might enjoy a quiet night in. We even made dinner."
As evening fell, the apartment was transformed into a cozy, intimate space. The table was set with candles, and a delicious aroma filled the air. Winter looked around, his eyes wide. "This is really nice," he said softly, glancing at Ryan.
Ryan smiled, feeling a flutter of nerves. "Yeah, it is."
They sat down to eat, the flickering candlelight casting a warm glow over their faces. Conversation flowed easily, and for the first time, Ryan allowed himself to truly acknowledge the feelings he had been developing for Winter.
After dinner, they moved to the couch, the comfortable silence between them only broken by the occasional murmur of conversation. Winter turned to Ryan, his eyes searching. "Ryan, I... I just wanted to thank you for everything. You've been so supportive since I moved in."
Ryan reached out, taking Winter's hand in his. "You don't have to thank me, Winter. I'm just glad I could help."
Winter hesitated for a moment before leaning in, resting his head on Ryan's shoulder. "I don't know what I would've done without you," he whispered.
Ryan's heart swelled, and he wrapped an arm around Winter, pulling him close.
Winter looked up, his eyes shining with emotion. "Ryan, I think... I think I'm falling for you."
Ryan's breath caught in his throat. He looked into Winter's eyes, seeing the vulnerability and hope there. "I think I've been falling for you too," he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper.
"But I'm scared, Ryan. This is my first relationship since... well, since everything."
Ryan reached out, gently taking Winter's hand in his own. "I know. And it's my first relationship with a guy. But... I care about you. A lot. And I want to be there for you, if you'll let me."
Winter's eyes filled with tears, a mix of relief and happiness flooding through him. "I want that too, Ryan. I really do. But I'm so nervous."
Ryan pulled him into a comforting embrace, their hearts beating in unison. "We'll take it slow. One step at a time. Together."
In that moment, everything else faded away. Winter leaned up, and Ryan met him halfway, their lips meeting in a gentle, tender kiss. It was a kiss filled with promise and the beginning of something new.
From their hiding spot down the hall, Wyatt and River exchanged a victorious high-five. Their plan had worked, and their brothers were finally finding happiness in each other. As they quietly slipped out of the apartment to give Ryan and Winter some privacy, they knew this was the start of something truly special for their little family.
Wyatt and River couldn't hide their satisfaction as they saw Ryan and Winter together, their hands intertwined, smiles brighter than they had been in a long time.
"Looks like the plan worked," River whispered to Wyatt, who nodded, his heart swelling with happiness for his twin and best friend.
