36 weeks and five days -
Ryan and Winter marveled at how quickly time passed. At thirty-six weeks and five days, Winter's pregnancy was progressing smoothly, but he was starting to feel the physical strain. He often felt big, heavy, and uncomfortable, with the baby's relentless kicking making it hard for him to breathe at times.
One evening, after another bout of discomfort, Ryan suggested, "How about we get you a warm bath? It might help ease the pain."
Winter nodded gratefully. "That sounds wonderful. Thank you."
Ryan ran the bath, adding Winter's favorite lavender-scented bath oil to the water. He then helped Winter undress and gently guided him into the tub. "I'll leave you to relax for a bit," Ryan said, kissing Winter's forehead. "Call me if you need anything."
Winter sighed in contentment as he sank into the warm water. The tension in his body began to melt away, and for the first time in days, he felt truly at ease. The soft scent of lavender filled the bathroom, creating a soothing atmosphere.
After a short while, Ryan returned to the bathroom, a twinge of worry nagging at him. He hadn't heard anything from Winter, and the silence was unsettling. Opening the door quietly, he peered inside and couldn't help but smile at the sight that greeted him. Winter had fallen asleep in the bath, his hand resting protectively on his belly. He looked peaceful, and Ryan's heart swelled with love and tenderness.
"Hey," Ryan said softly, kneeling beside the tub. "I hate to wake you, but it's not safe to sleep in the bath."
Winter stirred, his eyes fluttering open. He gave Ryan a sleepy smile. "I must've dozed off. The bath felt amazing."
As Ryan helped Winter out of the bath, their connection felt stronger than ever. Winter's vulnerability and Ryan's gentle care were a testament to their love and commitment. They were about to embark on an incredible journey together, one filled with unknowns and challenges, but also immense joy and fulfillment.
Back in their bedroom, Ryan helped Winter into his pajamas and tucked him into bed. He lay down beside him, wrapping his arms around Winter's waist, resting his hand on the baby bump.
"I can't believe how close we are to meeting our baby," Winter murmured, his voice filled with wonder.
"Neither can I," Ryan replied, kissing Winter's temple.
As they lay there, the anticipation of their future mingled with the serene moment they shared. The journey ahead would be challenging, but with their love as the foundation, Ryan and Winter knew they could face anything. And soon, they would welcome their baby into the world, ready to create new memories and adventures as a family.

As the evening progressed, they settled into a comfortable routine with them all now in the living room. Ryan and River worked on editing their latest video, while Wyatt prepared a light dinner. Winter watched them, feeling a sense of peace wash over him. He hadn't known what to expect when he moved in, but the love and support he had found were more than he could have hoped for.
River, who had been fiddling with a camera, looked up with a grin. "You guys are going to be amazing parents. This kid is going to be so loved."
Wyatt, standing by the kitchen counter, nodded in agreement. "Absolutely. And they'll have the coolest uncles ever."
Ryan wrapped his arms around Winter, holding him close. "You know, when you first moved in, I never imagined we'd end up here," Ryan whispered.
Winter chuckled softly. "Neither did I. But I'm glad we did. You've made me feel safe and loved, Ryan."
Ryan pressed a gentle kiss to Winter's temple. "You deserve all the love in the world, Winter. And I promise, I'll always be here for you and our baby."
Winter's pregnancy was progressing well, but the discomfort was growing more pronounced. He felt big, heavy, and increasingly anxious about the approaching birth.
Ryan and Winter sat on the couch, snuggled together under a thick, warm blanket. The room was filled with the sound of the movie playing, "A Dog's Journey," a soothing backdrop to their evening. Ryan's arm was wrapped protectively around Winter, his hand resting gently on Winter's swollen belly.
Suddenly, Winter's eyes lit up hearing the name of the girl in the film.
"Clarity June," he said softly.
Ryan turned to him, eyebrows raised. "Clarity June?"
Winter nodded, a smile spreading across his face. "Yeah, CJ for short. I love it."
Ryan's face lit up with a grin. "I love it too. Clarity June it is, if it's a girl."
The only thing now was they wasn't sure what to do if the baby was a boy.
