Now, at nearly 20 weeks pregnant, Winter was already feeling the changes in his body and experiencing a whirlwind of emotions.

Ryan, River, and Wyatt had been traveling across the country, filming videos for their channel, which left Ryan torn between his responsibilities and his desire to be with Winter. Despite his love for their paranormal adventures, Ryan's thoughts constantly drifted back to Winter and their unborn child.

Ryan sat in the dimly lit motel room, his laptop casting a soft blue glow over his tired face. River and Wyatt had already crashed on their respective beds, exhausted from another day of filming for Twin Paranormal. The investigation at the old abandoned asylum had been intense, full of eerie noises and unexplainable occurrences that left them all on edge. But now, Ryan's mind was somewhere else entirely. He glanced at the clock; it was past midnight. He pulled out his phone and dialed Winter's number, hoping he wasn't asleep.

The phone rang a few times before Winter's face appeared on the screen. He was lying in bed, his auburn red hair messy from a day spent lounging and reading. His blue eyes lit up when he saw Ryan, and he smiled, the kind of smile that made Ryan's heart swell with warmth.

"Hey, you," Winter greeted, his voice soft and comforting.

"Hey yourself," Ryan replied, unable to keep the grin off his face. "How are you feeling?"

Winter adjusted the phone, revealing the book he had been reading, then shifted again to show his growing belly. "I'm feeling huge," he said with a chuckle. "The baby's definitely making their presence known."

Ryan's smile widened as he saw Winter's belly, more pronounced now than it had been even a few weeks ago. "Wow, look at you," he said, his voice filled with awe. "You look amazing."

Winter rolled his eyes playfully. "You're just saying that because you're not the one who has to carry this little one around all day. Winter blushed, running a hand over his belly. "Thanks. I'm starting to feel like a balloon, though. The cravings are starting get out of hand. Today I wanted pickles and ice cream. Together."

Ryan laughed, the sound warm and comforting. "You're adorable. I can't wait to be home tomorrow. I'm sorry I've been away so much. I miss you"

"We miss you too," Winter said, his expression softening. "But I know how important the channel is. And besides, you being away means I get all the bed space to myself."

Ryan chuckled. "Fair point. But I promise, I'll be home tomorrow. I hate being away from you, especially now."

Winter's smile faded a bit, replaced by a look of understanding. "You don't have to apologize, Ryan. I know how important Twin Paranormal is to you guys. It's our main source of income, aside from me working at the café. And I'm doing fine here."

Ryan sighed, feeling a mixture of guilt and gratitude. "Still, I wish I could be there more. I want to be with you every step of the way."

"And you will be," Winter assured him. "You've been amazing so far, and I know you'll continue to be."

Ryan nodded, his eyes misting over slightly. "You're right. We are. And I can't wait to start this new chapter with you and our little one."

Winter placed a hand on his belly, a tender gesture that made Ryan's heart ache with love. "We can't wait either."

They talked for a while longer, about everything and nothing. They shared stories from their day, laughed about old memories, and made plans for the future. Ryan told Winter about the latest investigation, and Winter recounted a funny incident at the café. It was these moments, the ordinary and the extraordinary, that made their relationship so special.

As the conversation wound down, Ryan felt a familiar tug of longing. "I should let you get some rest," he said reluctantly. "You need your sleep."

Winter nodded, but his eyes were filled with warmth. "I'll try. But you better keep your promise and come home tomorrow."

"I will," Ryan vowed. "First thing. I love you, Win."

"I love you too, Ry. Goodnight."

"Goodnight," Ryan replied, watching as the screen went dark. He sat there for a moment, his heart full, before finally closing his laptop and getting into bed. Despite the long day and the late hour, he felt a sense of peace. Tomorrow, he would be home. Tomorrow, he would be with Winter and their growing baby.

The next day, true to his word, Ryan packed up quickly, eager to get home. River and Wyatt noticed his extra enthusiasm and exchanged knowing looks.

"Can't wait to see Winter, huh?" Wyatt teased, nudging Ryan.

Ryan laughed, not even bothering to deny it. "Yeah, you got me. I just... I miss him. And with everything going on, I want to be there."

"We get it, man," River said, clapping him on the back. "Let's wrap this up so you can get home."

The drive back seemed to take forever, but finally, they pulled into the driveway of the house they all shared. Ryan practically jumped out of the car, grabbing his bags and heading inside. The moment he stepped through the door, he called out, "Winter? I'm home!"

Winter appeared at the top of the stairs, looking radiant despite his obvious fatigue making his way down carefully.

Ryan rushed to meet him, enveloping him in a gentle hug, mindful of his growing belly. "I've missed you so much," he murmured into Winter's hair.

"I've missed you too," Winter replied, his voice thick with emotion.

They stood there for a moment, just holding each other, before Ryan pulled back slightly, his hand resting on Winter's belly. "How's our little one doing?"

Winter smiled, placing his hand over Ryan's. "They're doing great. And now that you're here, everything feels perfect."

Ryan kissed him softly, feeling a sense of contentment he hadn't felt in a long time. Despite the challenges and the unknown, they were together. And together, they could face anything.

Later that night, as Ryan and Winter lay in bed, a sense of peace enveloped them. Winter's belly was growing, a beautiful reminder of their love. Ryan couldn't help but smile as he looked at Winter. "You look radiant," he said, his voice filled with awe.

Winter laughed, a light, musical sound. "Radiant? I feel like a balloon."

Ryan moved to lie between Winter's legs, his face level with Winter's belly. He placed his hands on either side, feeling the warmth and the slight movements within. "Hey there, little one," he whispered, his voice soft and tender. "Daddy's here."

Winter watched, his heart swelling with love. Ryan left gentle kisses on his belly, his touch sending waves of warmth through Winter. "I can't wait to feel the baby kick," Ryan said, looking up at Winter with a grin.

"It won't be long now," Winter replied, his hand resting on top of Ryan's.

They lay there, wrapped in their own little world. Ryan continued to talk to the baby, sharing stories of their adventures and their hopes for the future. Winter listened, his eyes shining with tears of happiness. This was a new chapter for both of them, one filled with love, hope, and the promise of a bright future.
