This could only mean one thing for me now: I am lost in this world and in purpose. Now what must I do? I pray for the Emperor to help me. I open the vox channel with desperation hoping to make contact with anyone. "Hello? Hello?. This is Freeblade Knight Pilot Luke Tan Phaeron, Pilot of the Imperial Knight Chaosbane. Can anyone respond?" Static. All I've heard is nothing but static. The sensors show nothing too on all bandwidths. There is not even a single blip showing up on the auspex be it enemy or friendly runes. Still, staying out in the open with no cover is a bad idea since I am in an unknown territory. The Knight then began to move its two legs. Left, right, left, right, it first started as a slow Walk, then into a jog, before shortly turning into a full blown sprint. I can feel myself going up and down with each stride. Each footstep leaves a giant footprint while also causing the ground to shake ever so slightly. Suddenly, someone spoke onto the vox channel. "Hello Luke, there is no need to search for any Imperial forces. For you are in another universe." The sentence makes bring Chaosbane's sprint to a full stop, leaving deep gouges on the dirt. First I felt shock, then fear, before rage finally took me over for it even trying to ask me to or betray the Imperium by telling me that all the Imperium forces are gone. They shall know that any attempts to make me betray shall always end in failure. "Heretic filth! You dare assume that the Imperium of Man; Simply ceased to exist! All the enemies of mankind shall know fear as long as I live! DO YOU UNDERSTAND THAT HERETIC?! I AM UNYIELDING!" I Grit my teeth as the reply seems to belittle me. "Well, yes." Just how would this simpleton of a heretic make a mockery of Mankind! As if they would just simply cease to exist! "Your journey will start here: the Cave over there. For a threat to all life is present there. And you shall now live, fight, and kill in this world as a protector of humanity for your kind has been wallowing in misery for far too long. Now go. Duty awaits." With that said, all communications ended with that mysterious entity and any effort to re-establish the entity is futile since the bandwidth for the vox is now empty again. Duty awaits me huh? Or is it death? I could only contemplate on what I should do next. Suddenly, I felt the urge to move towards a specific direction. "Must be the doing or that mysterious entity that l encountered on the vox. Just what does it want with me?" Eh, might as well. I then began to move towards the direction that I am being urged to go by mysterious means. All of the Knight's sensors were turned up to full power. No small detail escapes my mind as I keenly observe the foreign environment all around me. Even though I may be in a world that does know the taste of war; I can still feel the sensations of being in a battlefield for it is all I've ever known. The calm and peaceful environment deeply unsettles me. Whilst being marinated inside my own mind as I try to grasp the almost downright hopeless situation that I've found myself in. I now stand before the mouth of a cave after mindlessly marching in the direction that I felt a mysterious attraction to. *Beep.* A beep is heard as the sensors detect a lone lifeform; it is slowly moving at pace of a lobotomized grox towards me.
I try to think of something to say since it could either be my friend or foe, it all boils down to saying the right thing. "To anyone in that cave! Come out! I mean
no harm!" The sentence was punctuated by a gulp before I blared those
words through my massive
warmech's vox caster system. A lone figure
emerges from the dark of the Cave. The figure responded to my request and I heard it flawlessly with due thanks to the sensors placed on full sensitivity. "Greetings Luke! I bring you a warm welcome!" He knows my name even though I haven't said it yet.
Before long, comes out from the silhouette that I was observing, an old man, glowing orb in hand and draped in a flowing gold robe with white wavy lines. "Psyker." The word makes me feel a little bit fearful as what stands before me is a psyker with an unknown amount of power. He could be weak or strong, either way I do not want to make enemies. Preferably.
