"Hold on, so you are Saying that you savior of humanity incarnate?" she says to me with child-like curiosity. "Fron who though?" She loudly thinks to herself, as she rests her furry chin of her feline face between the thumb and index finger of her paw that shares the same golden fur that continues to sparkle and glint under Chaosbane's illumination. Her pose reninds of that one ancient artwork from the annals of ancient history of Holy Terra. Meanwhile, both of the Ztoshs' continued to stare at me with either an expression of either
fear, awe, or bewilderment. Alice was in deep thought while the only humans other than me only held a slackjawed face. Enough of this. We should continue to proceed further down the cave so that we can leave as soon as we can. However, the two adventurers may serve only as possible collateral. "Alice, I suggest that we should venture deeper into the cave. The two of you need not come with us any further. Leave." Alice nods in agreement but the adventurers lack an ability in self-preservation as they begged. Their desire proves troublesome for me to fulfill. "Nay! We wish to serve you in any means!" The man begged. "It is our duty!" The woman pleaded. "PLEASE DO NOT DRIVE US OUT!" They screamed in unison, their vocal cords on the verge of breaking. This, is rather troublesome as they wished to go alongside me even though they do not meet the qualities nor strength of a proper guardsman. Dead weight, unnecessary baggage, collateral are the only ways I could describe the pair of beggars before me. Their resolves are as unbreakable as the Mighty Inperium and any attempts to further convince them to break their faith in me will be nothing short of death for them. Admirable, worthy of praise even.
I close my eyes and massage the bridge of my nose as I exhale heavily. It is now MY responsibilty to make sure that all three remain unharmed. *Thunk.* she's already trying to make herself confortable on me; didn't even try to drive them away for the sake of my opinion. She must've recognized just how futile would it be to argue against them. Well then, I should start moving now. MARCH! The thought-command received through the mind-interface-unit makes the Imperial Knight move. We march forward, albeit at a very slow pace so that the hunam adventurers can
catch up to me comfortably. *WHIR! BOOM! WHIR! BOOM! WHIR! BOOM!* The whirring of the servos in the Knights legs is periodically drowned out by the boom of each landing footstep as it continue to march forth with two adventurers that could be easily be mistaken for beggars walking along ít its wake, a feline-witch passenger, and lastly the ever-vigilant pilot of the warmachine. Alice
has been here before, surely she must be aware now of the strange properties of
this cave such as the abnormally dark darkness, the feeling of danger, and lastly the absence of commodities since I haven't even spotted any structures or utilities that any
civilized being would need in their personal abode. Maybe her friend isn't an intelligient being? "AHHHHH!" A shrill scream suddenly interrupted my thoughts. I look around around the environment
through the eyes of Chaosbane's gimbal mounted head. Up, down, left, right, the head moved in all directions but I still cannot orginate the source. There, I saw Sybilia Ztosh in a maniacally panicked state as Fendes Ztosh hugged her tightly with his right hand most noticeably on the back of her head, as if he is trying to prevent her from seeing something. He looks me with a face tells me he is heavily disturbed. The same face of a guardsman driven to the brink as he looks upon the horrors of the galaxy. Then, he raised his left hand and pointed
somewhere. I follow the direction as the ball-mounted upper torso of Chaosbane moves towards the directon that he was pointing so that whatever offending imagery shall be brought to the light, what I saw instilled shock into me. "Humpf! BBLEEUUUUUGGGHHH! ACK! ACK!" *Splosh!* My furry passenger may have vomited unto the carapace of Chaosbane which I was very worried about earlier on. But it doesn't matter as I continue to stare at it. It is a mountain of corpses. Human corpses. Horribly mangled and in varying states of decay.
