(Author's note: Gorey fight scenes present in this chapter. School is also starting again for me, expect slower updates.)
He hoists me above his head, his grip still unrelenting. "Unhand me you foul beast!" I yelled at him as he continued to fly us both higher into the darkness. All of my armaments cannot reach his filthy demonic hide. All, but one. I manually took control of the turret. Alice is no longer present on the carapace, she must've fallen down whilst I fought against Trelbjor. Good riddance. Now, how can I kill you, foul beast of Khorne? I cannot fatally injure him in any way since I am held up higher than his head. His scaly hands shift their grip around me as his outstretched arms held me up high like a trophy, a trophy of a hunter who shows off. Unfortunately, being boastful can compromise the situation of the victor, thus giving the enemy a chance to retaliate. Victory shall only be celebrated only when the battle is done. *WHIR! TUTUG! TUTUG! TUTUG! TUTUG!* 8 Shots rang out and flew true as they decapitated the bat-like wings of Trelbjor and all that remains of then are useless stumps wriggling and spouting blood. We began to fall freely together, but I was accelerating much more faster since my body is denser than demonic flesh. He departed from me as he threw me away, his form corkscrewing into the dark while I continued to descend faster and faster. The Knight's gyroscopic functions soon has
me freefalling upright and all that is left is to brace for impact and survive, hopefully. I closed my eyes as I feel the air whip against the Knight Paladin. "COLLISION ALARM!" The Knight's machine-spirit monotonously wailed through hailers inside the cockpit. I brace myself for what is to come. *BOOOOMMMMM!!!* The landing jolts my body instantly as my neck snapped downwards painfully fast. I tried to stand up from the crouching position that I found myself in, but the action made me grit my teeth. A painful sensation that can be described as a burning feeling akin to being set on fire. I track down
it's originating from both of my calves and feet. My body remains unscathed inside the cockpit but I can feel all wounds inflicted onto Chaosbane as observed on the
state of a Knight's legs. "DAMAGE DETECTED!" The letters flashed in a bright pulsing red color as the two legs are highlighted in the same bloody red color in the damage report diagram. Ah, it seems that the hydraulics bursted their rubber seals due to the immense force that they absorbed. Its slick oils slide down from the metallic legs of Chaosbane and it slowly form a black pool of oils around me. *PSSSSSSSSSSsssssssss...* The hissing slowly subsides as the last of bit of hydraulic fluids drains away. My height noticeably went down by a meter. I try to stand carefully, but the sensations nip at my nerves. The muscles in face flexes as my calves burn. "HHHHHHRRRAAAGGGHHH!!!" Trelbjor roars off in the inky depths with a dangling jaw
impeding his efforts. The upper torso of the Chaosbane spun around to scan the
dark environment as I look for the daemon. "Luke! Please!" A pitiful cat yells at me from behind; I turn to meet the source. *WHHIIIRR!* I see the one who dares to interfere with my duel with Trelbjor as I looked down at the golden-furred, crying, dirtied abhuman known as Alice. Does she not have honour‽ How dare she interrupt this duel‽ "Luke! This is all wrong! I know Trelbjor, and I know he wouldn't do this!" She continues to plead with teary eyes as I stare at her angrily. even though I am well aware that the face of this warmachine is incapable of showing the same emotion as me. But its voice, my voice, can perhaps show how I truly feel for her. "ALICE! DO NOT! INTERFERE! I-AAAAAHHHHH!" Sparks flew inside the cockpit as I felt a stabbing sensation through the right side of my body. "Hagh! Ha! HA!" The being most likely responsible for my suffering, laughs a deep guttural laugh of victory. Before pushing his sword deeper inside me. The metallic frame of Chaosbane screams out in pain as its metal was twisted and damaged further as the sword plunges in deeper. *EEEEeeeeEEEeee!* Several cockpit and secondary systems burst out in sparks, showering me with blinding rain of light that made my eyes water.
But I shall not lose. I shall not die. *WHIR! BOOM!* Even as I experience the pain
that comes with each step from wounds that are not mine. *WHIR! BOOM!* Even as I feel the pain of the sword currently hilted inside of me. I will not lose. "AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!" I yelled a defiant yell of man who shall not die as I've taken two steps to twist myself towards Trelbjor. *WHIRRRRRRRRRR!* I've spun the upper torso clockwise suddenly and strongly out of nowhere. And that caused the daemon to lose his grip on the sword as he stood there, confused. He looks down the empty palm of his hands, then at his sword, then at the revving Reaper Chainsword attached to the Imperial Knight. He tried to back away but I made sure that wouldn't happen as I swung a low strike with the growling Reaper Chainsword that tore through the scaly right knee of his. His suddenly decapitated right calf stands upright momentarily before tipping over into and landing with a thud. *Thud.* He extended out his right arm and plants his fist onto the floor to prevent himself from falling over. "LET! THE! BLOOD! FLOW!" I yelled at the pitiful kneeling form of Trelbjor with mania as he looked at me with anger still plastered on his mangled face.
*RRRRRRRRRR!* The chainsword revs up as I prepare to give him a warrior's death. Servos cried, motors roared, hydraulics hissed, engines thumped as the Chainsword was then thrusted into his scaly stomach. The monomolecular teeth were able to make short easy work of the beast as he desperately screamed his last scream. "RRRRAAAGGGHH!!! RAGH! ARRRGGGGHHH!!!" His Scream was enough to vibrate the cockpit as
it simultaneously deafened me momentarily through the thick layers of plasteel and adamantium, but it does nothing to stop what is already happening. Even if I were to be suddenly overwhelmed with guilt, I'm afraid it's far too late for any acts of mercy. Except for the mercy of a quick death; which is the most merciful thing I could grant him. He
tried to wrap the scaly digits of his left around the
chainsword in a futile attempt to make it stop. *SHCH! SHIK! SHIK! SHUCK!
SHUCH!* The sweet sound of failure and consequences of his actions filled the cockpit as it was amplified, each finger making a unique noise upon being sliced off from the now fingerless left palm. I then lifted the chainsword upwards whilst also making sure that its motor was stopped to not instantly cut him half. *CREAK!* The hull of Chaosbane creaked as I ignored the multiple spikes of pain from all over my body. *Woosh! Woosh! Woosh!* He swung the bloody stump on his left arm as the
right grabbed at the chainsword and started pulling more of the
chainsword's length deeper inside of him. His
leg and half dangle uselessly since I must've damaged or cut off the nerves
responsible for those appendages. Blood sprayed from the five stumps of
his left hand as it got closer as he continued to lower himself on my
chainsword. "HAR! HUURRRAAGGHH!!! HRAGH!" He grunts as his useless swipes only
decorates my armor with streaks of blood. I look into his eyes, his
Hateful yellow eyes with red irises. There is not a single shred of fear or sadness behind those eyes of his, only hate. He is impaled on my chainsword as he looks down at me from above and I look up at him from below. Drool drips down from the broken, half-burnt jaw and it lands Chaosbane in big red sticky globs. Landing unto the machine-eyes, it blurs his form on the pict-screen. *RRRRRRRRR!!!!* The chainsword stops idling as it resumes to chew away at his flesh. Blood and gore rained upon the Imperial Knight, covering its once proud familial colors with stains of red. The chainsword continued to slice further as it climbed, he continued to swing but much more desperately this time as the interval between each swing shortened exponentially. First, it went through the stomach, spilling intestines and a warm soup of half-digested meals fell upon me, the stomach acid stinging my skin. Then came the ribcage, an intense spray of steaming hot blood erupts like a geyser from his chest, the fountain becoming each weaker second as his heart drummed its last beats. Then his neck, finally putting a stop to the screams. And finally his head, water and cerebrospinal fluid spilled forth onto me, along with a slurry of nerve cells from what his brain used to be. The battle... Is over.
