"Look at you, big man! Look at you!" Big John celebrated, pulling Pope into a sweet and longing hug, inducing Pope to instantly wrap his strong arms around the old man who finally came back.

A strong gasp came out of my glossy lips while I started to approach all of the pouges huddled around, only missing me. Using enthusiastic speed, stomping on the grass, watching everyone grow with laughter, nothing but satisfaction replenished on their complexions.

"Baby pouge! Welcome to the reunion!" Suddenly a deep voice called out, while John B separated from the circle, whipping his head towards me, causing my heart to drop.

"B!"

My fearless best friend and his adventurous father returned to us after their lengthy and suspicious separation.

Nonetheless, the heavy and meaningful guilt in my lower stomach grew over time, feeling horrible for the leader pouge after fleeing, and leaving him in the Bahamas stuck.

Yet from the looks of it, it doesn't seem like they had much trouble arriving. They dropped anchor before us. They seemed to have a bond and agreed on everything to get them back home.

Unlike us pouges.

Numerous ideas flew in our heads, but none of us shared the right mindset. This left mixed feelings after I chose to depart from John B. Nonetheless, it was to keep the others secure, and I tried my best to not allow the way they reacted to hurt me.

But on the inside, I was whacking myself up for leaving him, and the large risk of him getting slaughtered was higher than ever. But, once I saw him standing there, in his cramped backyard, filled with all of our friends, planting a delighted and scornful smile, all of the negative weight flew away, leaving me free and weightless.

"Hi!" I whipped my long arms open, while my speed started to thrive, stomping on the patchy grass with the bottom of my sneakers, and earning everyone's engagement before he whipped his muscular arms open.

"New leader, I believe. You're crowned." John B lurched a hearty chuckle, sending my bright eyes to shut, before I ran into his stiff chest that was covered with a basic usual T-shirt.

My slim arms wrapped around the good-smelling boy, smelling like the peaceful smell of the seaside, and the natural dark scent he always carried.
My soft hands clasped on his muscular back, tightly gripping the cloth of his shirt, fingertips digging into him, while his muscular arms wrapped around my shoulders, hauling me into him.
