There was a heavy silence that filled the air in the moments after Lorent entered the room, his words faltering in his throat when he saw his sister panting in front of him, Daemon behind her lacing up the back of her dress.

They were caught. No words could lie or explain away what happened here this evening. Lorent looked between the two of them, and the confusion started to well in his chest.

"What. Is. This." The words left his lips and Aurora felt faint, he had only been in Kings Landing for a few hours, and he had already caught wind of her escapades. Typical.

"Ser Lorent." Daemon muttered confidently, his back stiff as he turned to face Lorent's eyes. "There is a reasonable explanation." He said slowly, trying to keep his voice even as he spoke. His mind worked quickly, trying to come up with excuses for this situation. "Do you mind closing the door?" He asked, trying to diffuse the mounting tension.

He gave no word, but did as Daemon asked, shutting the door and taking a few steps further into the room.

Daemon could hear Aurora's uneven breathing as she stood next to him, fear and anxiety clearly plaguing her mind.

"Do you know how lucky you are that it was me who stumbled upon you both like this?" It was not the reaction either of them were expecting. There was no anger or hatred, but instead almost...amusement. Daemons eyes widened slightly as he watched the change in Lorent's demeanour, still holding a tight grasp on Auroras hand.

Lorent's eyes shifted between them two of them, a small laugh leaving his lips as he took them both in, the shock beginning to subside. He shook his head softly, before speaking again.

"I almost do not believe it." He admitted, placing his hand to his chest to hold in his laughter. "My beloved sister, so prim, proper and dutiful. Is having an affair." He could barely hold in his hysterics now. "This is almost comically perfect."

Daemon and Aurora continued to stare at him, unable to understand his sudden shift in mood. They expected accusations, anger, maybe even violence. But not...laughter.

Aurora's face had turned beet red in a mixture of shame and rage at her brother's taunts. Her gaze hardened as she stared at him through narrow eyes.

"Are you quite finished?" Daemon snapped, his arm slinking around Auroras hip protectively.

Lorent grinned widely, unable to help the laugh that left his throat as he stood before them. "Quite, quite. My apologies, I just....I hardly expected to arrive to you two sneaking around behind closed doors."

He was grinning now, a devious laugh still on his breath. "Who'd have expected such depravity from my sweet, little sister." He added teasingly, looking down at her where she stood in Daemons grip.

Aurora's scowl deepened as he went on, her hands balling into fists at her sides as she glared back at him. But she said nothing, she didn't know what to say.

Daemon kept his arm at her waist loosely. "Perhaps now that you've gotten your laughs you can be on your way." He muttered sternly, eyeing Lorent with a glare of his own.

"And leave you both to be caught by somebody less forgiving?" Lorent questioned with a quirk of his brow. "Not a chance."

Daemons eyes widened as he took a step towards him, his temper flaring suddenly. "You dare-" He began hotly but he was interrupted by Aurora suddenly speaking.
