CHAPTER SIX

Eat, sleep, breathe:
The Way Of Water
Part 1

Once everyone had finished eating, Tsireya and Aonung had gone to return to buckets and other things to the village women.

As the pair come back, everyone stands up. Class is in session.

"First we'll start with rough swimming, just so we can get a good look at what level you're at," Tsireya explains as they all walk over to the ocean.

Aonung is first to dive in, followed by Rotxo and Tsireya. Yayora and A'tok do a perfect dive.

The Sully boys simply jump in, followed by Tuk and Kiri shrieking as they jump into the water.

Yayora and A'tok could swim pretty fast, they had exercised their legs enough back home to understand the key of swimming.

A'tok does a backflip underwater and grins at his sister. Yayora only chuckles before catching up with Tsireya who smiles at her and A'tok.

Aonung and Rotxo look back, quite shocked that Yayora and A'tok had made it this far.

They look back to the Sullys. Kiri had seemed to wander off while Tuk stayed close to her brother's who were struggling underwater.

They swim up to get some air before looking down at the group underwater.

Tsireya signs for them to come and swim with them but they don't understand.

Yayora just motions for them to come along and they dive back in, trying their best.

The group continues to swim through the reef. Yayora turns to see them go up for air yet again.

"What's wrong with them?" Aonung signs. "Those guys are bad divers," Rotxo comments.

"Stop," Tsireya interjects, "They're learning."

"You should be more considerate. If you were in the forest then I'm sure you'd slip everytime you swung through trees," Yayora signs.

"You understand sign?" Rotxo furrows his brows. She rolls her eyes, "I grew up next to water skxawng."

Aonung rolls his eyes at her statement. Yayora and Tsireya both swim up to shore, as A'tok and Rotxo tag along.

"Are you alright?" Tsireya asks.

"You're too fast, wait for us!" Tuk exclaims cutely. "Just breathe Tuk," A'tok reassures her.

Aonung comes up from the surface. "You are not good divers, maybe good at swinging through trees but-"

He gets cut off by receiving a smack to the head by both Tsireya and Yayora.

"Don't try to make yourself feel entitled fish boy," The girl glares at him.

"Come on bro," Lo'ak scoffs. "We don't understand this finger talk, alright? We don't know what you're saying," Neteyam adds on.

"I'll teach you," Tsireya offers.

"Where's Kiri?" Rotxo suddenly asks out of an unexpected amount of worry.
