Rescue and Loss

THE NEXT DAY, EARLY AFTERNOON...

After saying their goodbyes to the Omatikaya, Yayora and A'tok set to the sky.

They were passing the outside before looking and down and seeing a bunch of tulkun.

Yayora's heart pains as she realises what was happening.

"A'tok, go back to the village. Tell the others I'm with Ronal,'' Yayora dictates.

Her brother nods before flying forward to the village with his brother.

Yayora flies down, she watches as the tulkun surround Roa and her baby.

She breaks tsaheylu with Tanhì before diving into the water and swimming up to the scene.

It was raining, many birds flying around the dead creature like pests.

Yayora smiles at Kawng and rests on his fin. 

"What is this, Tonowari? What is this?!" She shouts.

Yayora's heart aches for the tsahik. She had lost her sister, and her sister's baby.

The sky people have gone way too far.

This means war, Yayora thinks to herself.

Ronal sadly gets off her sister's body before getting her tsurak and riding back to the village.

Yayora bids her goodbyes to the tulkun before riding after the tsahik.

Arriving at the village, Ronal blows the horn, gathering the entire village to the centre where announcements were said.

People begin to gather, feeling confused at the tsahik's sad expression.

"My spirit sister, and her baby have been MURDERED by the sky people!" Ronal exclaims as many hiss and gasp in response.

Yayora takes Tsireya's hand as the girl weeps quietly.

Tonowari continues, "We knew of this hunting of our tulkun but it was over the horizon, far away, now it is here!" Tonowari growls, sticking out his tongue as many of the clan members get agitated.

Jake had been attempting to calm the clan, Neteyam assisting.

Yayora's ears flop, she was genuinely scared, for everyone. The war they were running away from has come back.

But she was determined to fight for her loved ones and her clan. She would protect the people that she loved no matter what.

"If you attack, if you fight, then they will destroy everything you love!" Jake exclaims to the Olo'eyktan and tsahik, Ronal subconsciously placing a hand on her pregnant belly.

"You need to leave! Take your canoes and go!" Jake tells them.

"Leave?" Ronal looks bewildered. "You like among us and you learn nothing!" She hisses.
