Tap tap tap.

You could hear the rain hitting the window in your dreams briefly before you finally began to stir awake. There was a light drizzle outside the window right beside your bed, shared bed, i might add.

You bed was pressed into a corner near the window because you thought it was cozy and convenient for cuddling and such..at that period Veritas had argued that he preferred the bed be square in the middle against the back wall.

He was viciously stubborn to the point you bullshitted your reasoning into being that he could read easier with natural light from the window..although that didn't completely convince him, he decided to give in if you let him do the rest of the decorating.

In reality, there was really no 'letting' him do anything though, so..

the sun couldn't peek through the clouds, so it was mostly gray outside. You slowly began to open your eyes, writhing around in the mans arms before huffing. Veritas was very..very strict with PDA, but he was oddly affectionate behind closed doors.

Your head was resting on his bicep since he usually read until he fell asleep, speaking of, when you moved your head you bumped slightly into what you assumed into the book he was reading last night until he fell asleep.

His sleeping face was still as stern as ever, though, perhaps just a little softer, depending on how you look at him. His face, regardless of what he did, was chiseled and refined like some kind of Greek sculpture.

You rubbed your eyes and yawned before leaning back, your face no longer squished against his chest. He would usually squeeze you in his sleep, so it was pretty normal at this point for you to wake up to a face full of his chest.

You covered your mouth to stifle a yawn before looking at him with a drowsy smile, holding his face and gently rubbing his cheek, just admiring his sleeping face. The rain outside was getting heavier, tapping the window more and more until they started blurring together.

Finally, when this cacophony of rain was getting loud, did the doctor begin to stir just slightly.. he was a surprisingly heavy sleeper. You looked back out the window before looking back just to see he had opened his eyes just enough to see you, squinting as his eyes adjusted.

He grunted softly and let go of what little grip he had on his book to rub his eyes, "Oh, good morning, sleeping beauty.." you whispered softly to avoid auditorily over stimulating him. He grumbled softly before sighing.

"Hmphh..morning..." he grumbled and sat up to figure out where he left off in his book while trying to fix his hair slightly.

Only after he finished putting a bookmark in his book did he notice the heavy downpour outside, and he let out yet another sigh. "How lovely." He huffed and set his book aside.

You sat up and stretched before leaning onto him and yawning, "Hmm.. I think this is perfect home date weather.." You smiled at him despite his discontented frown.
