Thunder and lightning roared throughout the stormy skies, the stelleron hunters hideout was enveloped in a storm at the moment. Most of if not everyone was indoors today, spending the day doing whatever they like..Silver wolf played games, Kafka sorted her closet, and Firefly was leaving your room.
She was teaching you all about Glamoths Iron Calvary, even let you see some of SAM's interior without exposing herself in the process. It was a fun experience, and you both made food when the storm rolled in.
You were the freshest face to the stelleron hunters, you had met Blade when you went with him and Silver wolf to do a few errands. He didnt talk much, of course, but he seemed to have a silent appreciation for the little things you did for him when Silver wolf was too preoccupied with games.
That lead you here, he spent most of his time with you in your space, considering his room was decorated rather sparsely and wasn't exactly the most comfortable place to stay. It was nice, he was silent most of the time, and the comfortable silence was nice.
But..then Firefly paused as you closed the door to your room, she look out the window near the exit of your room and pointed outside. "You said Blade was training outside..right?" She inquried and looked at you, smiling awkwardly as you sighed and scratched the side of your head.
"Let me guess, he doesn't care about the rain? Still training?" Firefly nodded and stepped away from the window, "Let's hope he doesn't get sick.." she sighed, seeming to already think you wouldn't drag him inside by his hair to get him out of the rain.
You shook your head and walked passed Firefly and headed for the door, "Think if i drag him in now he won't get sick?" You smiled, The girls eyes widened before she followed you. "You're gonna drag him in..?" she asked, "Not literally. Hopefully."
You grabbed an umbrella and opened it up as you stepped outside, "Blade!" You Hollard and jogged toward him and tried not to slip. He turned to face you with his sword resting idle in his hand, "Hm?" he hummed and tilted his head..as if the rain wasn't even there.
"It's pouring! And freezing! Come inside-" You urged and grabbed his hand and pulled him toward the door, he stared at you before sighing. His sword disappeared, and he squeezed your hand.
"I feel fine." he stated simply as you pulled him inside, he was soaking wet, leaving a trail of water wherever he went. Firefly seemed to have gone off while you were gone, or probably snagged by Silver wolf or Kafka.
"Come on!" You urged and hurriedly pulled him to your room, "now stay put-" you ordered and hurried off to get a towel and a change of clothes for him. He stood there and sighed, undoing the buttons of his shirt when he saw you carrying clothes and the towel.
"Here, let me dry your hair while you get your shirt off-" You hummed and set the clothes aside and held the towel up and stepped behind him. He hummed and leaned back a little to help you reach.
"Why didn't you come inside when it started raining?" You inquired as you vigorously dried his hair, a small huff escaping him as he relaxed a bit. "Didn't notice it." he stated simply and waited for you to finish drying his hair before taking off his shirt.
You sighed and rubbed your temples before shaking your head, "Did it upset you?" he inquired and tilted his head as he put the dry shirt on then began undoing his belt. You turned around and crossed your arms, "Maybe a little..i don't want you getting sick." you hummed.
"Then i'll pay more attention." he stated, carrying his wet clothes past you and to set aside for now. "Thank you.." you hummed and walked over the window to peak outside, seeing the rain had only gotten worse.
You closed the curtains and jumped as a loud thunder clapped made your heart jump up into your throat. You huffed and pat your chest as you walked over to the couch and sat down, you were about to get nice and comfy however, it seems Blade had an entirely different idea.
He walked over and leaned over the back of the couch and picked you up with ease, "wha-" you paused before looking at him with a raised brow. "And where are you taking me?" you chuckled and tilted your head seeing his messy damp hair that he didn't seem bothered enough to brush.
"To bed. I'm tired." he hummed, that deep raspy voice mixed with the sound of rain outside did do its job, it felt cozy. Then another loud clap of thunder filled the air and Blade's hold tightened around you as you jumped again, "Fucking hell.."
You grumbled and shook your head, smiling awkwardly at Blade as you looked at you with a curious hum. "i'm fine.." you assured and tilted your head as he narrowed his eyes before continuing to walk.
"Does the thunder scare you?" He asked softly, opening your bedroom door and setting you down in bed. "It doesn't scare me..it's like a jump scare whenever it gets really loud all of a sudden though." you hummed and pat the bed.
He nodded and laid down with you, "I see.." He hummed and pulled you close into his arms and wrapped his arms tight around you and squeezed. You blinked owlishly as you were squished against him before laughing.
"Thank you~ Your arms certainly feel safer." You snickered and wrapped your arms around him and squeezed him back before looking back up at him. "I couldn't be scared of the thunder when i'm here.." You smiled and kissed his jaw before closing your eyes.
"Good..I'm glad.." he muttered softly and hesitantly nuzzled the top of your head before going still. As gruesome and violent as Blade could be, it was hard to see him being the kind of man to be so peaceful and hard to not love.
His breathing easily lulled you into slumber, and he soon fell asleep listening to the rain and thunder. With you in his arms, he didn't have as many nightmares, if any sometimes, he felt so..peaceful here, as if he was no longer Blade, and he was Yingxing again.
He couldn't express himself well, but he hoped you could still feel how much he appreciated you, and your unknowing help.
Don't be like the rest of them,
Darling.
